Absolutely lovely house. Sort of has an upscale but homey Connecticut vibe... the outdoor areas certainly helped this...but right outside your doors, is NewYork City. Best of both worlds. Pleased to see a real walk in closet. for the master. And the reno addressed that we might emotionally love a bathtub, most of us prefer a freestanding shower, on a daily basis. These were exceptional. Though i don't remember seeing a first floor bathroom. The 50's and 60's modern furniture could have been a ghastly choice, but it came off more as a vintage Architectural Digest shoot, in their correct usage, colors and layout. And not someone's modern collection stuffed awkwardly in an old house. It's a tricky marriage, that usually fails. You ignore the bones of a house at your own peril. Except for the formal dining room's furnishings, which i take exception to. They oddly, managed to make it look utilitarian. Like the teacher's lounge at a college. And that lovely room didn't deserve that..
I believe that that house always had a wood clapboard facade. There are several in Brooklyn Heights and numerous examples throughout the row house neighborhoods of Brooklyn…specifically in Fort Greene as well.
Love the music.

Beautiful house but how was it allowed to destroy the facade?
