Lucifer is just a very broken person looking for someone who will accept him for who he is and that that someone will fix him. The worst part about it is that he believes himself to be evil after he was casted out by his father, when he's in fact the person with the most light out of all the other angels. But he hides this so well behind the playboy exterior, that nobody close to him noticed how much pain he was in, except for Chloe.
Even his own brother doesn’t realise the pain hes been through the betrayal the injustice and the fact that his own brother the only one he could trust tried to kill him and another killed his first love

What broke me is the scene in season 4 when he totally panicked after his wings turned into those "devil wings" and he truly believes that he's evil and beyond becoming good

I love this show, And we all know that Lucifer is a person that has issues probably because of his dad, He never treated him like he was his son. It’s sad.
I just hope Tom Ellis can keep this extraordinary way of acting for his future productions! He is soooo good in this role and has so much potential - I really hope he doesn‘t waste it for a quick shot, but keep it for a meaningfull role in a worthy movie /series…
