Love how the winch cable on 1st truck is not riding on the roller at top of truck!! Just scraping on the blunt metal edge up there.. real good for the cable
Back in the day 60s-70s we had the Diamond Reos , the Internationals and The White Packers could barely take one dumpster, and would lift the front end of the truck if it rained.Fast forward the new high compaction Packers will do the whole building with room to spare.
I’m guessing the first reason is that he’s not you. The second reason is that he has a much better understanding of applied physics and geometry than you do.
Time inefficient, but around 18 minute you see the utility of it being rear load, both trucks can tilt the large bins and and you can dump the rolling bins in as well. It's got utility
18:34 is it actually being recycled? I work for a private recycling company we left dry recycle card and plastic bottles that the customers think is being recycled but on the same daywith the same truck we we lift general waste. It's then tipped in the depot shed where it all goes through a chopper and up through conveyer belts chopped again and comes out the other side as a gray dust that's sold to a company that uses it to power huge generators. Its all about profit nothing to do with recycling. Ps and I'm in the UK. also.
Relax. There's no climate change in the US. If you deny it often enough, apparently it just goes to China, because you know, China is responsible for everything that is wrong in the world.
Hey Norman, I know this comes as a surprise to you because you probably don’t leave the house much but, in this industry everything we do could be considered a “safety issue” but someone has to fucking do it.
Or people can try throwing the trash in the bin instead of being bums and expecting people to follow behind them like mommy and daddy and clean up after them.
dumping the bins into the rear loading trucks seems to me like a really stupidly slow system.. takes the truck several minutes and cycles to get the bin empty when a top loader could lift dump and move on to te next bin in a fraction of the time... add up all the bins on a route and its probably an hour or 2 of wages and fuel saved.
The smaller trucks may do a better job with the smaller dumpsters, however you have to take into account how many smaller trucks would be needed to even try to keep up a bit with this truck By the looks of it I would hazard a guess that this one takes about twice the capacity.
i remember a day when garbage men, who were paid to haul the garbage away, used to haul it all away. now they just empty cans and to hell with what falls on the street. fees go up, service goes down. i have to call every couple months and remind them that i am paying to have garbage hauled away.
Inefficient and unsafe. First of all, the driver should NEVER be getting outta the truck. The garbage trucks in Detroit are front loading and takes the driver less than 30 seconds and doesn't make a mess
Seems like a terribly inefficient, messy and time-consuming process to collect trash/rubbish/garbage/refuse to me. The smaller trucks do a much better job of collecting roobish. And what about all the wasted recyclable material?
That's a very backwards way of thinking there are plenty of other countries that have a much better system available it just seems like with anything USA just don't want to invest in the future@@baystaterefuse
That’s a lot of hard work. Thank you
I hear you my brother once and done I drove a 78 Mack DM 686 31 yard leach packer here in north Jersey many years ago I miss it

I grew up in the Allston-Brtighton area! God Bless you Mr. Allen Stay safe!!!
That truck is a beast!!
Great truck, awesome footage 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Awesome Video.
The blue can at 18:00 😂😂😂

Great video, well done!
Bro at 18:35 has a giant shit stain on his pants! 🤣
That truck has seen its days!!!!
17:30 interessting system from unloading into the garbage truck. In switzerland we haf only rearloaders and frontloaders.
How many stops you have with them big containers
I wouldn't be walking underneath the bin while its in the air why would he ?
Cause he probably knows that the fuck he's doing better then you
I didn't walk under it. The whole point was to stay a distance to avoid any potential hazards.
I’m guessing the first reason is that he’s not you.
The second reason is that he has a much better understanding of applied physics and geometry than you do.
That driver trust that cable🎉
Because the worst case scenario hasn't happened yet, hopefully not ever.
Billy D!!!! LEGEND
Nothing is better than a Leach!! The Leach 2R Packmaster can outpack anything else.
yup
Crazy inefficient. Front loading top fed - lift, dump, drop it and your out. 60 seconds.
Came to say this
Time inefficient, but around 18 minute you see the utility of it being rear load, both trucks can tilt the large bins and and you can dump the rolling bins in as well. It's got utility
No It’s actually more efficient because that truck is doing residential not just the cans. You want more tricks than what’s necessary.
Wrong. $1000 winch beats 10k in hydraulic repairs
Uniform pants should all be camo😮
Those rear load dumpsters are a nightmare.
Like 👍
Does nowt get recycled?
Loads of cardboard in them dumpsters that could be easily processed?
It really ain’t that easy to be honest
@@nokia3750 Standard practice over here in the UK. Very few places don't have some form of recycling going on.

Now try picking up all the stuff that fell on the ground

North Carolina!
Where the hell did they get this ancient truck, that thing is slow as molasses. Time to put it in the trash bin
And it seems like you even got some of it in the garbage truck.
I guess uniforms ain’t in the budget at capital😂😂
If you knew who that was, you’d know he don’t need a uniform.
@@WarrenAlogwho is that
Omg how old is this barrel?
That's an old girl there...Nice to see she's still earning...
Wondering HOW often is dumped ( Once a WEEK, Every TWO weeks, Etc.)
Twice a week for a lot of those cans.

How did I know he wouldn’t sweep up the mess. Cretins
You still don’t know and it really wasn’t messy at all
The building staffers can do it. They don’t do shit all day anyway.
It’s designed for stuff to fall out?! Well done USA 😁🤦♂️
😂😂😂
No people overload it and not get the next size up

Tell your tenants to stop overloading the dumpsters, or your property manager to add another can.
The two guys on the small white truck look homeless at least the dudes on the big bulk truck are wearing shirts with the company logo
Bragging about something so easy, can’t keep the cable on its roller though, next week it will have snapped.
Why you have to be a hater. Dude right not everyone can do it lol
1:50 sounds like a body part......
Tucson garbage trucks lift over the front. They’re spotless clean with murals painted on the sides.
lol that sounds nice. Welcome to Boston!!
A monster truck? that is normal size if you ask me!!
Lol, dont lock the can in🤔
Most inefficient way of collecting trash….
Front loading garbage trucks are more efficient than rear loading ones.
