@@SOOH27 Although you're not wrong about the switches, most top gaming "pre-built keyboards" are in a similar level. These companies should start building keyboards with quieter switches, it's just plastic hitting plastic (no damping) and most sound cheap as... Even this Huntsman TE is quite loud and rattly for a linear switch + asking price.
It's like someone finally comes out with some fast switches, PBT keycaps and all that stuff and then it's still like you're working at a construction site.

The switches are really nice. I exchanged my Gpro with the GX blues today for this and it immediately felt natural using it. I mostly play FPS games so I might be a little bias, but yeah you'll definitely have to get used to these switches, especially if you're not accustomed to something like MX speeds. I'm happy I went with the Huntsman TE, the GX blues on the Gpro felt nice though, was still a great keyboard.

Just throwing this out there. Razer also has a community software that allows you to upload profiles and lighting effects as well. The way you said it was as if they did not.

the rgb on the razer is not as bright but it is super customizable, and the keys are responsive and fast AF
I actually really like Logitech gear. I have the G513, G903 , G502, G920 and the X56. I've ordered the G Pro X to replace my Anne Pro 2 (which is a great keeb but I love Logitech's RGB implementation in their keebs). The replaceable switches is a great extra feature too.

why? i am really curious about this one. I have been using synapse for the past 2 years and it isn't slow, it's easy to find stuff, it never had some kind of glitch or whatever.... whats your problem?

but i have to agree. its pretty confusing to navigate through. it took me 5-8 minutes to get to the chroma studio for the first time lmao, but you get used to it if you play around with it.

4:52 I am sceptical on that. when it switches from metal contacts to optical sensors, the longevity of the optical sensor becomes the key factor in how long can this keyboard last. I think I I worried the most is not the sensor, its actually the IR led. as the keyboard doesn't know when will your finger get close and decided which key to press, the IR led needs to be on the whole time. my question is, while the old mechanical keyboard comes with metal contacts that only wear when the key is pressed, the razer keyboard comes with switches that wear by POWER ON. I think the razer light switches should give the lifespan in hours as it depends on the IR led not the contacts which wear down even when you are not using it(pressing the keys). unless the led last forever (which is impossible) or significantly longer than the optical sensor and the calculated exposure of the IR beams on the optical sensors after 100M key presses will wear the sensor down or after 100M key presses the keyboard will be worn (assuming both senor and led is fine), by that I mean the construction of the keyboard, otherwise, I don't think using the number of key press before failure is suitable for this keyboard. BTW, if the led and the sensor can last long enough or never die, this keyboard will last forever which is impossible for keyboards with mechanical contacts. since the light beam should no be able to bounce inside of the switches (housing), the switches will either work or fail, so... good luck. I myself have a razer huntsmen TE which I think is great. not gonna lie, the low actuation point makes me type more accurately with fewer typos so... idk maybe there is still something wrong with my typing skills XD

If you want to swap switches, go for the gpro, but the gpro has a non-standard bottom row so you probably won't be able to buy different keycaps, while the Razer has a standard layout

@Jordan Walker Faster keyboards aren’t for you then, other people like to be a hair faster than others and it could matter at times, you can’t really stop them.
@Robert Kilger III any switch you hotswap it to it won't be as fast as the Hunstman, so your statement is pointless. This is a gaming keyboard not a typing keyboard, so cherry mx blues and what not are 1) slower and 2) not for gaming. And even the cherry mx speeds are slower which is their fastest switch and fastest not razer and steelseries switch. (Apex Pro is faster than Razer's ik)

I've always had good luck with Logitech products in the past. It's hard to get away from that when you're dealing with electronics. Also the Logitech keyboard colors seem more vibrant to me as that would make them easier to see. Just my humble opinion for what it's worth.
looked at both keyboards, I tried the razer at BestBuy's setup and no joke, i thought they were membrane switches when i felt them. They felt like shit. I tested the Logitech g pro with gx blues and they feel amazing. I prefer the g pro.

With the Logitech Pro X, you don't have to use the GX switches, you can literally order any switch you want and it'll still work. Just make sure the pin outs on your switches will be compatible with Logitech's PCB.
A bit late but, you can do the same by building your own keyboard for even cheaper

I would pick the Huntsman TE over the G Pro X by a landslide because for one thing it has a standard bottom row, optical switches, PBT keycaps, and a much smaller "forehead". I don't really care that much about hotswap switches and the GX switches that logitech makes aren't the best imo either.
In my opinion the optical red switches from razer are also not that good, most people think fast light switches are better but no. It is just personal preference, i play with 100g aliaz switches and i am gm in overwatch and im also doing no mistakes

@@Drewless This is one of their products which really has a damn good build quality compared to their other products and even the G Pro X. In my experience, Logitech always had the better build quality, and razer always had better software and looks/design. This time though, they really did kill it with the keyboard overall.

I wish there was a keyboard that is just these to mixed, the g pro extra buttons in the top right and the colors are nice but the switches, response time and amount of force needed to press the key on the huntsman is also nice
Response time won't be noticeable, that's just marketing.
Actuation force and depth is very subjective, but it's good to have options though. Maybe go for Speed Silvers or smth, the Logitech is hotswap after all.
Tbh, the only thing the huntsman has over the Logitech us better build quality, but then they both suck in that regard.
Get a non gaming keyboard, put in switches that suit gaming, voila: a gaming keyboard with good quality.

Used both and used a g pro and I love my razer huntsman TE so much more and I’ve only used it for a couple of weeks up to a month or so and I love this keyboard!!’ Super responsive and very easy. Besides the sound it doesn’t bother me or anyone and I love it! Razer made me into a believer in them again! I do love this keyboard

9:02 Was that Huntsman on full brightness? Because compared to the Logitech, it looked terrible. Sure, lighting shouldn't be the #1 priority when considering a keyboard in this price range. But as both keyboards are very similar, it could come down to looks, and the Logitech easily wins there.

Response time doesn't matter. Switches are very subjective, so it's hard to tell.

The huntsman elite has a standard bottom row which makes it more useful for poeple looking to use alternative key-cap sets.
This was a pretty glaring oversight in the video, especially since the G Pro X appears to be even more non-standard than boards like the Razer BlackWidow or Corsair K70. I could very well be wrong, but just by eyeballing, Logitech is using a 1.5u/1.25u/1.25u/6u arrangement. I can't think of another pre-built keyboard that uses such a layout.

Thb their are both good, razer is faster however, if you rest your fingers on a key you might accedently press it. Logitech on the other hand, have abs key caps which means no custome keycaps for you...

Razer might be better now in the context of gaming stuff, but that doesn't change that pretty much every gaming headset or keyboard sucks, and/or is overpriced.
So it's less hate on Razer, more hate on gaming products.
I really love logitech products however the linear optical switches of the Razer Huntsman TE won me over as opposed to the clicky GX switches on my G Pro. I have both and switch between them pretty often however for gaming, I prefer the Huntsman. I have Logitech for all of my other peripherals so yeah.

By the way, the Razer-Kailh switches were back when Kailh didn't make their better switches and they were terrible. The newer Logitech-Kailh are a small step up, but are still no better than the mediocre Cherry MX.
Razer Greens and Oranges were not "rebranded" at all. They were garbage switches made custom for Razer. Since then kalih has made much better quality switches.

one thing about the USB connectors on both keyboards: the logitech 3 prong is poprietary, but there's enough clearance for any 3rd party USB cable to fit.
can't say the same for the huntsman as its USB plug is in a recessed notch with a very slim width that just barely fits the stock cable, and there's side rails that are supposed to slot into grooves on the cable plug. Those side rails will probably make it impossible for any 3rd party cable to fit, even if the plug was small enough. It's such a small subtle design feature that people won't realise till the day they lost their official cable and want to try sticking in a third party one.

this was a pretty unfair challenge as already with the specs you know that the Logitech one would win. I love razer products and think that they’re really good, but the Logitech definetely takes this one.

I had to return my huntsman, while playing video games my characters often moved to the left or right, i thought it was the keyboard that had a problem, soon i noticed it was the actuation time it was so fast that i didn't even notice i was pressing the key because pressing the keys is very smooth. That said i was unable to play with this keyboard. Keep this in mind.

Im still using G Pro X with custom White switches. Very responsive, very soft, zero noise. If something happen to your switch u can replace it with a new one and im using 7-8 type switches in the same keyboard too xd. Im changing it whenever i want. So you are not feeling its getting old. Still one of my favorite keyboards.

I DIY my own keyboards. I personally think that Razer products overpriced RGB crap and I would pick Logitech products if I have a choice.
But when it comes to picking one of these two keyboards, I would choose Razer Huntsman TLK.

I haven’t had good experience from Logitech from customer support not answering ever to the software crashing and crashing to sometimes when I change the function of the side button on my g502 to L, it stops after pressing like 10 times. I haven’t had any problems so far with razer

Just wanna know how much different is between clicky and tactile?
I'd say the only good switch on the Logitech board would be the Reds, which are linear. The browns are called tactile, but they are closer to scratchy linear as the tactile bump is hard to feel. The clicky switches have a more pronounced tactile bump, but they are very loud and annoying.
In general though, clickies and tactiles are close to the same, except clickies are much louder and higher pitched.
me having the g pro x , my brightness on the keyboard is low , is there any fix?

Using huntsman elite atm, indeed a very good keyboard. Cant say the same for razer trinity though. Keys bug out when i switch the sides

a bonus about detachable power cords is that you can charge you phone aswell.
Got my first PC back in April and started with Razer. Had the Black Widow V2, Huntsman Mini and now Huntsman TE. I love their product just one extremely disappointed defective problem. They all ended with sticky keys. The W on all 3 keyboard eventually sticks and only after a few weeks of playing. Just switched to logitech Pro. It's less noise, smoother press with less resistance and so far no sticky keys.
It really breaks my heart cause I love razer product but that one issue is not acceptable for me. And that's on all 3 keyboards.
Wow i still have my old G19 in a perfect shape on that meaning, even after a decade of abusive playing. In the same time i got questions to Razer products quality, since my very first purchase which was the ouroboros mice, it was creaking out of the box with both buttons and had trouble on charging over its charging dock. Now i feel a way more confident with 2 kits on 2 different pc's a G413 + G502 one, and a G900 + G Pro. Neither of it has the keycap issue you spoke about.
I just use hyper shift to change my lighting profiles, I have the application key as the hyper shift and all of the "ins" - "page down" keys as the lighting profiles

And sorry logitech. Razer hunstman is just better this time. It is just like it is more up to date and logitech offer reminds me 2015 - 2016 . Logitech needs to make v2 with update features standart bottom row and usb type c cable
The main flaw of the Logitech is the outdated micro usb.. Like what a way to drop the ball. Besides the standard layout too!

Look into foam mats to put into the case, or getting silencing rings. Not sure how they work out with the specific switches though.

I just ordered the Logitech G Pro keyboard.. And now there is a Logitech G Pro X.. But not in any of my national webshops yet.. (Netherlands) Should i return it before they wont accept it back? So i can get the newer one. Almost same price..
WoxiiPlz as far as I know it’s an online exclusive on their website. Not sure if they will add it to other distributors later. It would make sense if it sells well.
The g pro x and the g pro are just different keyboards, they have other switches so decide for yourself
i just bought the normal g pro keyboard but like really the romer g switches are so good could argue its better than the X if u dont care about changing them

So basically he said that if you want a keyboard that you buy once and feel good with it for a long time you should get the razer one.
It has better feeling switches, a bit too light and fast but good.
Logitech g pro x has a few minuses that razer doesn’t have, like a weird size bottom row- that means you won’t be able to get better keycaps for it
And micro usb instead of type c
Though you can swap the switches underneath each keycap.
In the end he says it comes down to personal preference..just know that the razer keyboard is not really for typing or for a work environment

I owned the Logitech g pro though not the X, with the go blue switch.
After a week of use the “w” “a” “s ““d” keys started to feel much lighter and easier to press than the rest which I found quite a nuisance..

Razer kills the Logitech in almost every aspect, better switches, better keycaps, better use of macros, better price...so there's no contest. Also, it wouldn't hurt to mention that the Razer has onboard memory.
And the Logitech kills in one aspect: hotswap. You can completely kill the Razer with a new set of caps and switches.
But then, both suck, really.
