It’s especially brilliant because Bea Arthur’s career was off to a rough start initially because she was considered - in todays terms - to be too masculine. So they either intentionally or unintentionally worked some of that into her character, obviously they already did so with Dorothy’s overall personality. The actual Bea Arthur, according to just about anyone in the vicinity was a very timid, reserved person, whereas the roles she played were these tough no-bullshit women. It’s quite interesting, actually.
Dennis Van haarlem no Bea Arthur was awful to Betty White she used to leave old food for her on the table, she ignored her constantly, she used her trailer bathroom and didn't flush and called her mean names to her face and called her a cunt constantly behind her back

I loved every character in their own special way Blanche was the sexy southern Bell , Dorthy was the sarcastic smart ass, Rose was the dim witt but had a kind heart & of course Sophia the wise cracking story teller
lauren ralph she got it from her gangster mother Sophia. Loved when they accidentally ordered a 400$ bottle of wine when Dorothy found out what her illness was that was making her so lethargic and Sophia puts salt in the wine and yells out “swill” and the rest is history... they ended up getting their whole meal paid for!

Her doctors openly doubt her as she struggles to find an answer. Eventually she is diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (also known as myalgic encephalomyleitis). The final scene of the second part is the girls celebrating in a fancy restaurant where they accidentally buy the wine. Dorothy also gets in a great monologue against one of her doctors she sees there and it's awesome.
My favorite Dorothy scene is when she was getting aggravated when trying to explain to Rose what Spanish fly is. Rose: "How do they know it's Spanish?" Dorothy: "Because it wears a little sombrero!"

I think you should have included the time when she and Blanche wore the same dress,and Blanche asked since when does she care how she looks. Then Dorothy said she thinks it started when she climbed down from the bell tower and had her hump fixed. Lol. Hilarious. :) this is a good video though. Dorothy is my favorite. :)
