All things considered it's wild this is something we have available for $8.00 now. As stated previously, the best we had before was the Don Post mask unless you wanted to outsource for a more expensive replica. Now we've got knockoff sculpts that look almost identical to an already insanely affordable 78' likeness. What a time to be alive.
Great video!!! I understand that Halloween fans want an affordable, good looking mask of the shape, but think that these days, with all the various TOTS Myers masks people have gotten spoiled . I remember in the 90's when all we had was the old Don Post Studios ''The Mask'', which was anything but accurate, but we were happy to just have something in the ball park. I see people moaning about hair lines, glue lines, paint apps etc, and they just don't realize how good we have it now.
I'm an 80's kid and you're right that there was no movie quality anything back then for fans. I would say though that TOTS has spoiled fans but has given them something great. If anything seeing the high-end custom masks from independent artists seeing that movie quality replicas are possible that's what they come to expect. They just have to know that comes with a price even with TOTS masks that mostly need repainted and rehauled to get that look.

I just find it kind of funny when some people buy a mass produced TOTS mask and then complain that every tiny detail isn't painted on just like in the movies. It's just an unreasonable expectation in my opinion. But thank Heaven there are artists like Nick that can produce masks that are amazingly accurate and worth the money.
Ayyy that's a pretty good-looking mask. Nick, may I ask, would you ever consider trying to rehaul the knockoff mask version? I'd say it would be a good experiment and I would really love to see you try making the mask look a bit better.
Perfect? No, but like you said, it'd be a nice base for someone (like me) to practice repainting with ((IMO)).... Nick, the photo montage, is that the TEMU mask?...
I got the Temu mask its ok but it has green marks on the forehead and the are on either side in the same place like it's been done on purpose. It's only slight so I may have to spray the mask
I will say that if this mask is $9 that's honestly not all that bad. That's what masks cost at dollar stores which their masks looks like something peeled off the floor underneath the registers LOL!

Don’t make fun too much, for $9 that’s a great mask. The dead ringer you sale for nearly $200 is a very bad sculpt imo “if it wasn’t white and had the cheeks” nobody would even guess it’s MM. I’m not trying to be rude just honest.
