Now you might expect the average person to say "Hey woah, you mean Peach's castle?" But Mario DID IN FACT have a castle in the Mario land series (which would go on to become Wario land), so while Marcel may have misspoken, he whoopsed right into something equally valid
It's not that the tracks are there. But there's also life outside of the tracks. Shops and stalls, walking paths, other rides, and incredible scenery. This is a masterpiece.

Goes to show, this game, even being over 20 years old, still has a very active if not thriving community behind it. That's the most detailed map save I've ever seen.
yeah, it would have been awesome, and if you come in with a party, you could sign up for the Cup Tour, choose a cup and go to the specific go karts for each track. Now you can keep track of who is in the lead, maybe after the fourth race the winner of the "cup" could get a special Lego Mario Cup to build (it would be for sale as well, but would have to pay extra for customization, since the cup tour would include that in it's price)
I am lost for words for the amount of details they've added to the park and tracks. Whilst I use to try and recreate the more simpler tracks when I was younger, this map goes above and beyond.
this is so incredibly well made. no wonder it took a year to complete. my favourite is Shy Guy Falls, the whole Area looks god damn beautiful and the Minetrain Coaster is the cherry on top. just wow.
Actually insane edit, perhaps one of the most amazing ones too! I just really love as well that this park isn't just dimmed down to the kart tracks themselves but there's so much other things to do like riding rollercoasters, the merry go rounds, sky drops and whatnot, it's not just a park just for kart racing, it's a whole amusement park
Post-video comment: I am beyond amazed at this legendary masterpiece. Can you just imagine that this is an actual park? like imagine Universal Studios Japan Mario World but there are 16 iconic go-kart tracks where you can ride to your hearts content, without the danger of the obstacles? And if you wanted more than just go-karts, there are other rides that you can ride on? And the best of all, some of the "game assets" are actually rides that are set to test mode, and have all their entrances and exits (and some even having their entire track) hidden to become part of the scenery? Like the flying helicopter in Yoshi's Circuit, the flying space train and rocket that is actually the Rocket Car from Steel Mini Roller Coaster, the lone Virgina Reel that is used as the ring of Saturn, and the ENTIRE CUT-OUT of the mine where the creator has put a Lift, Ferris Wheel and a Wooden Wild Mouse Roller Coaster ride as scenery for a mine cart/wheel/lift? This damn game has been out for decades, but the creativity people have in this game is beyond anything. I am very certain that in the near future, RCT could might as well become the new Minecraft sandbox.
This is amazing. It's got the same feeling as a really detailed toy train set or diorama; full of amazing little things and really pleasing to look at, wherever you look! So cool.
Wow, I'm seriously blown away by this recreation of Mario Kart in Rollercoaster Tycoon 2! Like, seriously, it's incredible. The attention to detail is just insane. You can really tell that whoever made this put their heart and soul into it. I mean, the surroundings are just so spot-on, and the twists and turns are perfectly timed. I felt like I was actually racing through the world of Mario Kart! And the sound effects and music just took it to another level. It's not just a recreation, it's a work of art. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing rollercoaster with us!
This video is really well written. It's a perfect showcase of this author's work, for when it inevitably gets taken down by Nintendo from the exposure that this video has given it 😂
This track brings back nostalgia of growing up with Double Dash. I'm also amazed by the manipulation of mods to do things a game engine is not normally able to do. Who would of thought you would able to recreate Mario Cart Circuits in RCT2!
This is one of the coolest things. I would love if you uploaded more really creative park designs by other people. I love seeing the creativity and care people still put into this game.
I do have the question block assets in my OpenRCT2, but I never have the patience to make any Mario kart tracks cause there’s SOOO many things you can do in OpenRCT2, but seeing the inspiration made this video worth my time to watch!🏎🍄
I've played RollerCoaster Tycoon 1/2 only a couple of times in my childhood, I have no interest in ever installing it again, yet somehow I have managed to watch nearly every video on this channel. That's good content.
Wow this looks absolutely incredible, some of those race tracks are burned into my memory and I could tell they were accurate, especially the koopa beach one!
For a moment I thought that when you said "Mario's Castle" you meant "Peach's Castle", but... it does look more like Mario's Castle from Super Mario Land 2 than it does Peach's Castle.
I haven't been following Marcel for the longest time, but it's fun to see him comment more often on scenery and decoration. I feel really enticed to play around custom kart tracks now!
This is unbelievably cool! Can you imagine if Nintendo actually opened up a go-kart theme park where you could ride these kinds of elaborate and thematic courses? It could be Nintendo's Disney World
This thing is art.
Chuggaa in a Marcel Vos video? Didn't expect that today
Of the highest caliber.
This guy is alive! :D
I don't even want to think about the time spent on this project
Could not have said it better.
The Super Mario RPG art style for some of the details and hazards is so damn genius
The moles from SMRPG are finally in another game!
Well it is not hard to extract the sprites from the game, and they already exist in isometric view.
I was just gonna say the Peach model is from Mario RPG!
It's so good
Peak SOVL
This is honestly one of the coolest things I’ve seen done in this game

this is the kind of park that deserves the Trophy of "best park" and makes all of ours look like a run down carnival.
This is insanely amazing. The attention to basic details but...the information about each track. Just..so much amazing things.
Better download this track now before Nintendo threatens legal action.
They better not.
RCT fans kinda would rock the backlash game.

Not only is this park beautiful beyond words, now I know how Marcel pronounces "bobomb" and "thwomp" which is beautiful in its own regard.
"Mario's Castle"
Peach: "And I took offense to that."
Super Mario Land 2
It has both castles though.
@@kyaban5192
Mario's castle from SML2 has a different design compared to Peach's, and never actually appeared in a Mario Kart game.
Goes to show, this game, even being over 20 years old, still has a very active if not thriving community behind it.
That's the most detailed map save I've ever seen.
Makes me wish I had kept on gaming RCT2. 😢. Stopped when I had kids and got busy with other pursuits. Now I enjoy YT and videos about RCT2. 😆
This guy should have been in charge of the Mario Theme Park.

What a fantastic crossover map. Props to the creators effort for making this map.

As a Mario Kart fan and youtuber I absolutely love seeing this. Love all the little details. So much work went into this, it's simply amazing!
The amount of detail that went into this is just absolutely stunning.
This is awesome!! I love the art style of RCT2 so much. Will never die on me
This is freaking crazy! The resemblance of the race courses with the actual ones is uncanny. Hats off to the creator of this park, just amazing!
This is easily the most impressive thing i've seen in this game.
got to love the random janitor walking into the abyss at 0:58

This is amazing. Major props to the creator of this masterpiece.
As someone who grew up on Mario Kart 64, this was awesome. Thanks for covering this Marcel.
An ambitious crossover that absolutely pays off!
This is amazing. I love that they included the mini-games. Those are such a hidden gem in the series.
This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
I could absolutely see this as a MK8 or MKWii mod where the entire park is modeled for each track. That would be incredible to see in action!
ive never wanted to play this game before as much as i do now after watching this video
This is one of the coolest things I've seen in awhile!
Just amazing 😮
This is absolutely incredible, the attention to detail is immaculate. I wish this was a thing in real life
Please do more park showcases like this one Marcel! I love hearing you dive into detail the way you do!
This genuinely might be one of the coolest things I've ever seen made in RCT2.
This is actually the coolest thing I’ve ever seen! Every track is so recognizable!
Seeing a track that’s wider than two lanes alone is a treat. No more sudden throughput-loss due to guests bumping into each others’ rears.
I like the use of Super Mario RPG sprites. They fit right in!
This is incredible. I love showcases of the community's talent like this!
man, that is some crazy attention to detail! love this, glad you featured it!
Absolutely stunning and beautiful!! Great story telling to boot too!
How did Marcel know i recently developed an obsession with playing old mario games???😂😂
What a cool park. Would love to visit something like that in real life.
Imagine a real theme park filled with mario kart tracks
That would be awesome
3:36 I like how the Launched Freefall is here because its motion resembles that of a Thwomp :)
Amazing detail, looks like I just switched on Mario Kart...I love it...Congrats to the designer for the time and effort that went into this...

This is a great RCT and Mario Kart crossover, Even if you have Mario Kart you appreciate the effect.
I don't normally like fantasy style parks like this. The game's more interesting to me when it's played as intended. But this is incredible. 10/10.
oh my goodness I'm getting flashbacks to Mario Kart, the tracks perfectly evoke the old feelings of playing Mario Kart! WOW!

This map creater deserves huge cudos for this level of detail and time spent creating the map.
This was an instant click. Was halfway through some other video and immediately came here
Wow this looks absolutely incredible, some of those race tracks are burned into my memory and I could tell they were accurate, especially the koopa beach one!
I liked seeing all the Super Mario RPG sprites used, I loved that game
Love seeing some great NE submissions reach a new audience. Gangland (with its murder mystery puzzle) is one of my semi-recent favorites
2:08 these cows are from the game Harvest Moon: Back to Nature for the original playstation. I loved that game!

How long before the party poopers at nintendo send a huge cease and desist to a game made in Assembly
yeah lol... Nintendo getting as bad as Disney (remember when they stopped a dad from putting Spider-man on his sons grave)

This is amazing, the attention to detail is simply incredible.
Looks great! Hopefully someone will do the same for Crash Team Racing!
the question blocks! amazing, all of it.
This just angered me... the attention to detail and creativity needed to deliver on this. Jeez dude.
I'm speechless. This is absurdly well done.
I too enjoy light blue, white and pink themes
those are indeed the best themes :3
