The sun paid his parents mortgage for years. They thought they were paying the mortgage but they weren't, they were only giving a measly $600 a month for utilities but the sun was paying the entire mortgage and the only reason they got evicted is because the sun could no longer pay it. It was his house and he was gifting it to them but he couldn't make all the payments in the end so he sold it instead of the bank taking it

@@leeb.7188this isn't about the sons relationship with the parents, or the way they treated him. It's solely due to the fact that HE was the one who bought and was paying for the house, as it was HIS home, where he let his parents live there. He is now, no longer able to keep up with the payments of the house and is forced to sell the house before it is repossessed by the bank. He had no choice, and it has nothing to do with how he feels about his parents. If he could continue to pay, he wouldn't be making them leave. But he can't, so he had to transfer the ownership and the parent were refusing to leave.

I wouldn't doubt one minute that the son who evicted them is the son they favored more than the other kids or at least spoiled the most. The daughter they are living with now is likely the daughter they ignored and ignored the warnings she gave about her brother. This is an example of how not knowing the language of the nation you choose to live in puts you at significant risk of exploitation. This is one reason why many are against all the things done to make it easy to not learn the language. Spanish version of everything from ballots to ingredients on packaged foods. People who insist on this think they are helping but they are not. This is a selfish attitude which is about feeling good about yourself and virtue signalling. The money and emphasis instead should be put on helping people learn English and assimilate into our culture. Not only will individuals like in this story suffer but society as a whole. Sanctuary state and city policies make things much worse for all but a few who exploitate the situation and get rich.

Elder abuse happens often. The son realized the value of the equity in the home and that he could benefit greatly and decided to take advantage of that. Allowing family or friends to be co-signers on properties or guardians or powers of attorney is legally dangerous if you’re not absolutely certain that they have your best interest in mind.
I hope this couple gets an offer from a good attorney who will try to help them file charges of elder abuse against their son and the loan officer to recover some of their losses and help educate others. My mom always said it was a good thing she had daughters. Despite coming from a culture that favors sons. She’s heard too many stories of sons doing this to their parents. Not that daughters don’t either but it’s usually sons. I don’t like my mom but I would never steal from her like that. The trust my parents have placed on me to interpret o rtranslate for them is sacred. At times I didn’t know how to explain something in Chinese so they just had to trust that I knew what I was doing. I could never betray my parents trust. They’ve done so much for me. What an ungrateful dishonorable son.

The sun bought the house and made every single mortgage payment for them and allowed them to live their rent free. They thought they were paying the mortgage but they were actually just giving him a small amount of what the utilities were worth. When the sun couldn't afford the house anymore he chose to sell it and even tried to tell them but they wouldn't listen. He's not in the wrong for setting his family up for a large number of years and then no longer financially being able to do so. The house never belonged to the parents and they never made the mortgage payments for it. They were giving him $600 a month and that barely covered water and electricity but he made every single mortgage payment until he couldn't afford it anymore

There’s nothing a court can do….the house was in the son’s name…..it doesn’t matter who was making the payments all those years….he can sell anything in his name at any time. The son isn’t going to pay for this….he can’t be sued for it and he can’t go to jail for it….the house was always in his name. It’s very unfortunate and this is why you never put something you make payments on in someone else’s name….because they own it…you don’t. Hopefully they can raise enough to buy another house….but it will be hard in this market with interest rates as high as the government has allowed them to be.

Something similar but far worse is happening right now to an elderly couple in my nursing home. She is in a wheelchair, paralyzed from a stroke, he is 89 but fit. Their son claims they have advanced dementia & his father caused a tear to her anus from sexual activity prohibited by the doctor & that the doctor told the staff their door must be open at all times. They keep it closed all the time because their room is between the nursing station & dining room, the noisiest, busiest spot in the building. No one deserves to have dozens of people looking into their room with zero privacy! The mom gave her son a POA for health when she had the stroke. Now he wants a POA for property. He claims his only concern is protecting his mom but he doesn't give a da*n about her. They own a lovely house with a waterfront side lot on an island with gorgeous views of the city, sailboats, kayaks, swans, & ducks. He wants to sell them. He'd quickly get over $1,000,000 for them. One brother is backing him for a share of the 💰, the other knows that he & his wife (he's her 4th husband 🤦) are horrible, but he lives in California & parents are in Maine, so it's hard for him to get involved. The stress on them is awful & it's also hard for the staff here who are caught in the middle. She does have a wound on her anus but they think it's a pressure sore from sitting all day. Still, they can't take sides. I know the horrible details because he showed me & another resident the legal correspondence, asking for our advice. I'm a retired psychiatric social worker & he's a retired lawyer. We felt sick to our stomachs & didn't know what to say beyond urging him to leave it to the lawyers to deal with & his son won't get away with it. We try to distract them at meal times & keep the conversation light but we truly fear for them.

Was he just stealing the money from his parents that was suppose to go to the mortgage? His parents have lived here in the states for 20 years and have not learned English? This is strange because the father knew it wasn’t right that his name was not on the deed….why did he not learn English so he could ask questions for himself?

Possibly something bad has happened to the son and this woman took advantage and forged his name?
This happened to my ex I was with for 20 yrs. We've been broke up for 8 yrs. But he started hanging with sum shady folks, one being a junkie dope fiend. These scumbags sold him some fentanyl and he OD'd and they let his body lay there for 6-8 wks while they went thru and stole anything of value and applied for multiple credit cards, took important papers like car titles and deeds to forge them to sell. But luckily, her addiction got her put in county jail for the hundredth time and the postman reported smelling the body. So she never got to transfer anything. But that's the kind of human scum that is taking over our communities these days. So sorry this has happened to these parents..

If I were the person he transferred ownership to I would transfer the property to the parents. If I felt like I would be out money that I couldn't afford, we would work together to raise funds or at least reduce their rent and allow them to stay.
I wonder if he was in some type of trouble and owed someone? He knew exactly what he was doing before he moved out and ghosted the family.

They should seriously think about leaving California and utilizing their minimal Social Security income on an affordable rental in another state. It's unclear why a child would make such a decision, knowing how much it would harm their parents. However, there's a distinct afterlife for individuals who do such things.

She does say that the other son and family members have been trying to reach the brother that owned the house but haven't heard from him since April. The house had been made over to the actual person, female, who served the eviction to them. Sounds like there might be something fishy going on. They have asked for a welfare check on the son who owned the house since they can't reach him. This woman might have done something to him after getting her fingers on the house. Who knows? People are crazy. Sad for the family either way.

It could just be a scam and when the property is sold, they split the profits 50/50 or the son gets a share. Never attribute a mystery when greed and heartless is the real story.

Set aside the family betrayal issues for a moment.
Facts: In the month of April:
    1. Home owner says "not feeling well."
    2. Doesn't sell house, but signs it over, for free, to "some woman."
    3. Owner hasn't been seen or heard from since.
    A. Get handwriting expert to confirm/deny it's owner's signature on deed transfer.
    B. Search his current home/property for a crime scene.
    C. Any recent phone/credit card/ATM/activity?

Yes the son could be a victim of foul play.
Lottery winner Abraham Shakespeare was mentally slow and was taken advantage of by a con woman then later murdered. When family and friends try to contact him, this woman would lie as to where he was. He was buried in the backyard after being swindled out his lottery winnings.

The house was in the son’s name…also the mortgage. The parents were essentially paying rent to the son.
For whatever the reason, the son couldn’t make the monthly note and was in danger of being foreclosed.
The details are slim, but he transferred the title to a woman but there is no record of money changing hands.

Someone needs to teach the son and the selfish user that he was dating a lesson. Especially the woman! I.have a feeling something happened and she talked the son into transfering the deed to her and she screwed him over for the money. Most likely, he trusted her as much as his parents trusted him and she screwed them all. I also think Power Of Atterny should be AT LEAST 2 ppl who arent married. Like a 2 of your kids or something so ppl are less likely to be taken advantage of because I have heard of a lot of ppl gettimg ripped of legally by their POA. If 2 ppl have to discuss and sing for every penny spent as POA ppl would have more protection unless they choose 2 ppl who are demons.
