Orange Tree Samples' Evolution Texas Twang is such an inspiring VST to play, and I can't thank them enough for the opportunity to try it out! I highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for an electric guitar VST--it's my favorite one out there! UPDATE: When I discuss my method of "drop D" tuning, I've been informed by Orange Tree Samples that you can select "alternate tuning" from a dropdown menu in the Setup window. They really thought of everything!
I always love it when you single out each instrument during these walkthroughs. Whenever I listen to it afterwards, it’s so nice to be able to pick out specific things after knowing what each sounds like! Also, it’s cool to see that the Texas Twang has so many different things you can alter to make it fit.
Great job, Zach! Orangetree’s guitars sound so good and the ui is very intuitive. One just has to spend some time with observing demos and then playing around with the presets or even tweaking presets and this guitar is very fun and great sounding. Oh, you do need some keyboard or programming skills. No product is just going to make you sound in a way that you don’t have the musicality to bring out. If someone is a super duper beginner, be very patient with yourself if it doesn’t seem to get you the results you’re looking for right off. It’s not the product. It’s you. ✌🏾
I have found this is a really complex tool that requires many hours to learn. Do you know of anywhere to get more presets or anywhere to get midi tracks where the chord inversions are typical guitar chord shapes?
I will say this about Orange Tree Samples. Their customer service is the best in the business. I've also bought from Ample Sound and Ample Sound's installation is far more complicated and yet their customer service after the sell is nonexistent. Ample Sound just flat out won't respond.
