- I went over to the Tokyo Games Show 2023 for the two business days. It was amazing to get to visit Tokyo for a second time this year and the show did not disappoint. There was plenty of cosplay, booth babes, amazing statues & display models, and some truly great and bizarre games for players to get into. In this show, I give you a quick tour of the show floor and share my thoughts on it.

Nice to see a games show back in full in a post covid world, I cant believe you didnt swing anything on business expenses ;D
Now E3 is officially gone, its one of the few left.
Mike, this video you made is what broke the news to me about a Brawl Brothers revival. I have not heard anyone else mention this game at all. I love beat em ups and am loving the current revival of the genre. thanks!
no worries.
Mike you'r RETRO COLLECTION look's Immersive and magnificent by now, I'm proud of you, keep it going.... Of course you wilt!!!
Your game show is good!
Thanks 🤘😝🤘
Thanks for this video Mike, it's really good to see the insider/lucky only views. Some of those games look utterly insane, it's a beautiful thing to see! And those massive promo statues are amazing... I wonder if there's a fight over who gets to keep them after (and then have to deal with storing them!)
Most of those statues get broken down and destroyed. If it was my ame I'd want it in the office.
Awesome tour of the show and thanks for the shout out on the book Mike! :)
You bet!
How cool did the Sandland tank look 👌
It was huge, I miss these big figures from game shows. It's like Tokyo Games show is one of the few places that still make them.
Looks like fun 😂 I am sure you had the time of your life there.
Cheers
It was great, I loved it.
WOW! What an event Mike. You must've really had fun for sure bro. But you know what's more amazing? That Sega Master System II. I love that redesign model and would make a great upcoming video discussing about it 8^)
Anthony..
I always preferred the original. So much was cut from the MSII, no RGB out, no card slot.😭
I had Pacman from Coleco when I was a kid. My first videogame on a tabletop format. I literally burned the ac adapter special batteries gimmick inside the tabletop by playing it.😅
🤣 amazing
Very cool!
It was awesome
Though it would've been so cool to check this out, when you said no A/C, that's when Lady Laci would be like "NOPE!" ha ha
More ladies--show more...or, nab one of those cardboard cutouts and send it our way. HA! But for real, I love seeing the booths and setups that take me back to the days of E3; I miss gaming times like that. Some fun looking pieces of memorabilia; are those little acrylic figure standees? You should've had Sonic give the middle ring to Sega Head! We need to get you the head controller to review.
It's taken me three weeks to catch up with comments. Work is a pain.
@@RetroGamerBoy If you ever need a place to hide, 100% nobody will look for you in Missouri, just remember. Got a bed and guest room and all for ya.
@@DoYouNerd sounds like a good option. Is it less than an hour away?
@@RetroGamerBoy Take a whiff of this ether and you'll not even know what time it is!
Ai sayama 😮😍😉
😁👍
Looks like an amazing time! What game was that at around the 5:10 mark? Looks sort of like a Mighty Symphony of The Night.
I can't remember, but it was in the indie zone so it will probably never make it over to the west.
Dragon's Dogma II i'm really looking forward to.
It looks super cool.
Hope you came home with the tower of power
But Mike said this would lead to his doom (divorce) 😱
@luigiardingo I think divorce would be a streach over a tower of power, a few weeks in the dog house.. I've been banished to the lounge room over MVS games before, it was all most a double win, I got the game wanted and got to play it while I spent my time in the bad books kicked out of the room, probably even do it again lol
Not the Japanese Tower of power, but maybe next time.
…you couldn’t pull the trigger on that Japanese Tower of Power. I can’t pull the trigger on a regular 32x so I get it
It's so expensive now it's hard to buy more than just one thing.
Great video Mike, but footage is quite low quality and shaky when you pan around 😢 Curious what you use to record on?
The camera, had major stabilization on, and it was dark in the hall so the footage struggled.
Welcome back. Did you punch Johnny Somali while you were there? No AC?! That had to smell like a Smash Bros tournament.
I had to google Johnny Somali. I still have no idea who he is. I have no sense of smell anymore which is a blessing and a curse.
Hi bro.
Nice video of the show.
Just to ask. Would you know what has happened to Pixel Heart website. I can no longer get in. I'm not sure if it's gone down or if still around. Any help is appreciated.
It's still up, have you checked again?
@RetroGamerBoy hello thanks yes that day, I couldn't access it. Maybe they were doing maintenance that week.
Thanks all the same, and keep up the great page. It's amazing
