The Matoran have been rebuilt and the Manas Crabs moisturized and energized.

Another crazy find! I don't think I've ever seen these in any lots whatsoever.

...and then super disappointed to find how many bits were actually missing, lol.
Great stuff, but use a soft towel (rubbed against soap) instead of a tooth brush. Tooth brush REALLY scratches the pieces from my experience.
interesting fact! the Blue robo-rider head is rarer then it should be, partially due to its inclusion in the now Canon toa Helryx model, which, considering it already was featured in just one set, made the piece a bit...pricey
Ah, that would definitely explain why it's so elusive! Didn't realise it was used for Helryx.
I would love to see a video on how to restore the inside of the Manas motors, or at least a detailed view of what's inside and how to open them properly. I've had some issues with one of my Manas motors years ago but since I don't have any experience in restoring electronics I've been too scared to tinker with it, Bionicle sets are too expensive for me to mess up ahahaha
I sold my bionicle collection a few years ago and really regret it. I got about £80 for:
-6 toa mata
-4 toa Nuva
-nui Rama
-nui Jaga
- Boxor
-3 rahkshi
- several rare masks
-1 Vahki 1 priaka 1 inika
- 3 stars & hero factory sets.
I regret it now :(

nice find, I've been hoping to find some working Manas motors for cheap but I'm always worried they simply won't work. What did you do to them in addition to giving the contacts an acid bath?
A loose wire inside needed resoldering, the motors needed some oil and the metal contact beneath the signal control dial needed a clean. Fiddly but not too difficult. Luckily none of the small circuitboard components needed replacing; I think it would have been a different story if something like the Infrared sensor was damaged.

@@brickthumb Good to know, that's about all I'd know how to repair too. Nice videos as well, it's all the fun of lot opening without the hours and money spent on my part, though I am very jealous of the rare stuff you've been finding in the wild. Are you in the UK by chance? It seems like they're having a huge Bionicle heyday on Ebay lately

You monster! Although I guess they deserved to be released after being trapped in there for so long.
@@brickthumb Well if any bionicle set you would want to open sealed it would be that one as you would want all of the bit to be working properly. And its not everyday you can be transported to the golden year of bionicle.
