Can you remember what size the grommet is under the bonnet as mine is missing and got to order one and they are telling me there is three different sizes
Instead of a grommet I’d recommend using a 20/25mm compression gland or any size to fit the gables, no chance of any snagging, and will hold the cables in place I use them doing electrical work all the time
This will depend on the size of aux battery and alternator version, you should always do your calculations and fuse at each end, I have a 2x200ah battery setup and ive used 50mm2 cable with 125a fuses, I have a 120a alternator
The stainless steel sleeve is to protect from chaffing on sharp edges, yes you can use a rubber grommet but over the years the sleeve will protect from any rubbing., conductive yes, so is steel conduit and cable tray's again a form of protecting the cable from damage.
Thanks for this! Got the split charge on the way and was wondering how to route it!
Obviously there is absolutely no need to run a ground from the main battery.
Thanks for this - I was trying to figure out how to get wiring through and this is perfect.!!
Thanks! Exactly what I needed
Thanks, exactly what I needed to know.
Very helpful. Thank you

Stainless steel sleeve😂. Nice non conductive material eh 🤣🤣
