I wouldn't even class this in the same bracket as "folk metal" at all. Like you say, it is completely unique in its approach and as such really can't be compared to anything lol

I loved listening to Crocodile Moat!!!!!!!. "Siege Ubsessed" now is a little more complex, leaves more time for interludes, but still remains raw and super catchy. Adding a female vocalist is always a gamble in my opinion (in terms of changing the character of the band), but in this case it worked brilliantly. The variety of instruments, the harmonies and the multifaceted nature of the compositions make this an exceptionally good album for me. 👍
I don't think it remains raw at all, far from it. What separates this from other Curta'n Wall stuff is that this is really well produced and thought out. Almost as if this is the culmination of what he wanted from Curta'n Wall all along
