This game was groundbreaking back when it came out. Just being able to run around a fully open 3D world that was so big and be able to do whatever I wanted was just mindblowing. Wasted a good many a days trying to survive as long as possible through 5 star wanted levels.
My first gta was san andreas and then I tried 3 and Vice City and unfortunately never liked them. I felt the AI exceptionally bad in 3 and Vice City compared to San andreas, the controls extremely clunky, the gameplay limited, the shooting system confusionary and imprecise and missions objectives often unclear or very tedious due to the bad AI or game's mechanics and I only completed them out of stubborness but couldn't really understand how would anyone have fun with such broken games and couldn't believe how much San Andreas was a step forward to those games even though it didn't come out that far after them. That said I liked the story and atmospheres of Vice City and I think a remake of that game would have been great to play these days but Rockstar instead just gave us the same clunky and broken game from 2002 with the DE just with a slightly better graphic and a few checkpoints system as the only improvements same with gta 3, without even bothering to make those game reach at least the same technical level of San Andreas that despite feeling kind of outdated today, it is still playable and enjoyable for todays' standards unlike 3 and Vice City.
GTA3 was incredible for its time. Going from top down to 3d took the series in a fresh and new perspective, and the series is still setting new standards decades later. great game!
Fun fact: Original gta 3 was even more graphic. There was a dismemberment system.(you could see body parts on the street after explosions) In definitive edition they took it out.
They actually took it out on the original Xbox version way back. It's where how models are made were changed. DE is based on the mobile version, which, in turn, was based on the Xbox version. Though the city itself in DE is based on the PS2 original.

to be completely fair i replayed this game on an emulator and it was always BUSTED. Such a raw game in a great way
For as much as people shit on gta3 definitive the city sure looks great for being so old.
gta 3 with the boi kevduit
That intro was a bit too spot on lmao well made I can tell you are a true rockstar enjoyer
Bro in Saints Row 2 I can end an Enemy gang member and the police will give me a thumbs up as opposed to being wanted, multiple interiors and customization, spinning rimz...
It actual feels lively in that game
If it had VR you'd never see me again aha
2:45 " get in the car , get in the car no not you
4:14 i have never laughed so hard i my life! hahaha
Kev you’ve never played Vice city?!?! That’s what u need to do next 🙌🙌🙌🙌

5:59 dude got launched lmao
An absolute classic this, the only time i got to play the original was when i went to my uncle's and begged to play gta3 🤣
5:58 - Holy shit, the pedestrian straight up flew into oblivion! I love GTA 3's physics, and also the crunchy sound while driving over people was always kinda satisfying in a weird way (I know how this makes me sound!)
Flew straight up out of skyrim
Love your videos and wish you the best of luck for the future 🖖👽🛸
If you haven't played the OG trilogy, then you should find and play the modded versions of the trilogy made by Updated Classic. They're the best versions of those games
15:50 somebody call a MEDIC!!!!
Speaking of "GTA clones," you really should play Driver: Parallel Lines. It's definitely one of the best pre-Saints Row non-GTA sandbox games. (And the cars in the intro not having drivers was also a thing in the original versions; you just wouldn't have seen it then due to the graphics.)
this is making me wanna play Sleeping Dogs again
I’d highly recommend trying GTA IV. (And Vice City and San Andreas, can’t leave them out.)
I plan to get through all of them before GTA 6
Gta 3 was my first gta game this feels so nostalgic and funny too
I played this game when I was a kid, my mom tried to hide it but I always found it
As simple as GTA 3 was, I had a lot of fun playing it when I was much younger. When I wasn't getting frustrated at how clunky it could be to control. Hey, things like climbing ledges and manually aiming with more than just a few weapons wasn't a thing back then. It was a different time.
I also had fun with it but out of all 3D gta's it's the most outdated one.
@InevitableOption-ic2vx I even think they could remake gta 1 and 2 maybe. Would be interesting.
"gta 2D remake! Includes gta 1, london expansion packs and gta 2. Coming soon to *insert platforms here*"
“do i create patients”😭
Maybe it's my 10 year old self inside, but GTA 3 is the Morrowind of it's genre
This game looks haunting AF at night
3:47 is legit probably every gta player ever
Kev I need you to pronounce “vigilante” for me one more time 😂😂 it’s vigil-“auntie”m
Her saying "I'm Yakuza" whith the most batshit crossed eyes I've ever seen, had me dying! I'm so glad I didn't pay money for this trash.😂😂
