- Hydro excavation of watermain replacement, Just Three of us trying to Install a 6" tee with Valve into the existing main to connect to a new main on the right we directional bored in earlier in the week. The leaking Lead Line / Corporation was an old blowoff installed from maybe 60 - 80 years ago that was unknown and was dripping when we found it, and once got disturbed by our digging started to let loose. Also a gas main was between the Clay Storm sewer pipe and the watermain hindering us digging recklessly. It was pretty cold, probably 20 degrees out.
Hell ya brother, what tip you have on that wand
Must be union guys. .. I swear I’ve never seen more guys standing around doing nothing that union work
They're not working very smart either. I would've had the bucket over the break in the main instead of letting it saturate the side of the hole. Granted the tank would fill a bit quicker, but the vac would be much more efficient and you'd move a heck of a lot more material.
No not union, but the two guys to the left that walked away are union inspectors. It was a crew of 3 going to install the tee, valve and tie into a new main to the right you cannot see.
Very Cold Out out no one wants to get wet yet that early in the day from the over spray, but ya I agree other than that, but the ground here is hard as hell, old river clay with stones in it too btw

What bucket are you referring to?
Looks like the leak is at the saddle for the corp-stop
