Thanks for the video. I have been looking for a video like this for a long time. I have done the AS1796 test 3 separate times, and every time was just as nervous to pass!
Many who dare take on AS 1796 have nerves of steel, until they step up to the plate 😂. It is a nerve racking time for many but the job can be too. Still, the ones willing to put in the hrs have the most success! Thanks for watching.
depends on company mate, most smaller companies pay $29-$35 depending on age or experience, supervisors usually get $55 an hour, bigger companies probs pay more
@@michaeltyers7336 You have to be trade qualified to do AS1796 certifications, And each certification of which there is 9 different ones in total take about 6 months long and can cost a couple of grand for each
This is a waste of time for industry other than to expose you to the crap you may have to put up with if you go for a oil and gas job which will want a 6G weld test completed.
True, some work places will require a 6g weld test. Upskilling to advance ones career is never a waste of time through. Industry is massive. With the right attitude, you can end up working anywhere in the world.

I’m going for a mature heavy mechanic apprenticeship.
If your young….. don’t be a boilermaker
How much should people be paying for their qualification these days?

@@HAHA-lh7fu I actually meant the cost for the actual training and examination, not how much they'd get paid after getting qualified.

Is this a tig/stick combo weld test?
Not in this case, but you can choose to sit that weld test ( Certificate 5 ).
If you've done your Certificate 4 and Certificate 7, you are automatically awarded your Certificate 5.
