Minecraft - Wood Generator (PATCHED)

This trick has been PATCHED. It no longer works.
This video demonstrates how to build a simple, on the spot wood generator. Breaking boats in this way makes them release 4x the normal amount of wood and sticks (12 wood and 8 sticks each boat). It costs 5 wood to craft a boat, so you earn 7 wood and 8 sticks profit.
You can use lava instead of cactus if you wish. I use cactus in this design because I think it is safer for the player. Fire does not work.
