Came directly here from your tips for transitioning video. Girl. Girlllllll. You're saving me right now. I decided to transition back to natural after 10 years of relaxers and I've been all over the place frustrated to hell with my hair. I had no idea what to do but your videos have been helping me out greatly. We don't have the same texture and right before I decided to transition I cut off all my hair in a pixie cut so I had negative length to work with but your tips and info on products has been invaluable. Thank you so much!
Seraphic Lunacy that's so great to hear, I'm glad the videos could help! I know it's frustrating at first but hang in there and your hair will start working with you, it just takes a little extra TLC on the front end 😊
Seraphic Lunacy This is me right now like I swear I've been through a lot of videos but these videos are saving my life. My hair has been through a lot of heat almost 7 or 8 years.
Thank you, Amina Marie, for your very clear and concise perm rod tutorial! As a heatless hair style this technique is serving me well. When air-drying my air in the past, fizz-free and defined curls have always eluded me, you’ve truly changed my hair game by recommending the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie and the Eco Style Olive Oil Professional Styling Gel. Having watched a few of your videos since the pandemic started, I have to say that I truly appreciate the clarity in your tutorial explanations, your tips on hair care and product selection, and your positive energy. Can’t wait to see what you post next ;)
Gorgegous! My stylist recommends sitting under the dryer for at least 30 min to dry the roots and then you can finish air drying. Just a tip I thought I should share since it worked for me.
I’ve watched this video 20 times and finally tried it and it worked!!! My hair looks so good! Thank you so much!!!! I’ve never known how to do my hair and now that I’m transitioning it’s so frustrating!
Yay!!! Happy to hear it worked well for you! I know it’s a struggle at times and the little victories go a long way! I used to wear this style OUT, it can last for two weeks if you refresh frizzies through the week 🙌🏽
sadly, I didn’t pineapple very well and it was a hot mess the next morning. Would you be willing to do a video on how you make a style last? I have plenty of scarves and head wraps but I sleep like a maniac and they don’t always stay on my head.
Thank you!! I did the big chop and went from waist length hair to shoulders because of damage and also change but I love it curled and noticed some heat damage so this video helped me so much! Thank you!!!!
Yaaaaas,I love this tutorial,I in a I have low porosity hair so when I use a lot of products It weights my hair down and it doesn't dry in the mornings when I leave it overnight so this is a great method I am going to try Just the two products instead of all the products that I use. Thanks for the tutorial😘😘😘
I'm glad it could help! :) A pineapple is just a really high ponytail to keep your curls from getting crushed under your head at night. It's also a great way to keep your hair off your neck if you're working out!
Thank you! 💕 Make sure you do this on damp hair and not wet hair! It takes a while to dry and get the roots under control so doing it on hair that’s already becoming dry gives neater results!
+Emma Torres all I do is part my hair how I like it to fall and do 1-2 inch sections. I'll style the rods so they fall the right direction at my part but otherwise no real sectioning method needed 😊
Tried perm rod yesterday and they didn't turn out good . So I'm gonna try them again cause the way I rolled them wasn't right . Cause in trying to natural and I need some hair styles
+Ashanti Brooks this color is just a grown out color lift! I've never applied bleach to my hair - the couple of times I've had it colored I've just had it lifted which is a much safer option :)
+Whitney Young I love how flexi rods look because you can get more of a stretched curl on day 1 but I found the results of perm rods lasted a little longer so I got hooked on the perm rods. Both are honestly great though, just depends what look you're going for
Im still transitioning and still learning how to manage my hair. It has been an interestinf journey lol...anyway, im praying I am one of the five IG giveaway winners. my IG name is sha627 #20kgiveaway 😊

This came just as I was getting frustrated with twists. Thanks.

Lisa Gonzalez Are you my sister Lisa?!
This is wonderful in u 💖 and I love ur hair color too 😍
I’m trying to perfect that roll.
Very helpful video for transitioning!❤️
But what is this pineapple you were talking about?
I'm glad it could help! :)
A pineapple is just a really high ponytail to keep your curls from getting crushed under your head at night. It's also a great way to keep your hair off your neck if you're working out!
Love the video!! It came out perfect !
It came out so pretty ❤️! My perm rods come out floppy and not tight , any suggestions?
Thank you! 💕 Make sure you do this on damp hair and not wet hair! It takes a while to dry and get the roots under control so doing it on hair that’s already becoming dry gives neater results!
I like the colors at the tip of ur Hair how do u do because I heard it's make the hair weak especially for hair going through transition process
I have tried perm rods and they just did not work out. Imma give it another go! Great video tho! :) Subbed
Thank you! They definitely took me a few tries to get the best results but it's worth the hassle because this style lasts! Good luck 😊
Never thought to use gel...as I'm allergic to mousse. Thanks a bunch!
Gel is a life saver! A staple in my routine! 🤗
Can you please do a video on how you section your hair for perm rods?
+Emma Torres all I do is part my hair how I like it to fall and do 1-2 inch sections. I'll style the rods so they fall the right direction at my part but otherwise no real sectioning method needed 😊
so cute! did u use any leave in?
+sevenaka7 thanks! In this style I used the Kinky Curly Knot Today leave in
Hello, I love this video 💙. I was wondering what kind of moisturizer in your spray bottle?
+Andrea Nieves thank you! And just water in the spray bottle 😊
Obviously love your hair! I also love your lipstick! What is the brand and color?
+Erin Wilkins I believe this is Colourpop's Beeper. One of my favorites!
do you colored your hair yourself? what color you use thanks
Tried perm rod yesterday and they didn't turn out good . So I'm gonna try them again cause the way I rolled them wasn't right . Cause in trying to natural and I need some hair styles
what highlight you use ? love this brown coppery highlight, please answer I wanna stylish my hair same🌸 thanks
+Paul Vienneau this is just lifted hair colors growing out, hoping to find a way to replicate it soon!
Why gel before cream & not the other way around ?
Amina is this on damp hair or completely dried hair?
+Jordan Wilborn damp hair
what color is your hair (tips) dyed? did you have to bleach it to get that color?
+Ashanti Brooks this color is just a grown out color lift! I've never applied bleach to my hair - the couple of times I've had it colored I've just had it lifted which is a much safer option :)
i love your videos!! what editing software do you use?
+Naps Of Nature thank you! I use Final Cut Pro now but I believe I used Adobe Premiere for this video :)
Amina Marie thank you!
Love!
About how long did it take you to do your whole head?
Really nice but you did not use the Garnier gel tho
what are the measurements on the perm rods??
Perfect! Just what I needed (: And my middle name is Amina 🙋🏾
Do u put a leave in before u do anything
Yes! Great way to prime your hair
Niiice!
the links to the perm rods are wrong
do you prefer perm rods or flexi rod sets?
+Whitney Young I love how flexi rods look because you can get more of a stretched curl on day 1 but I found the results of perm rods lasted a little longer so I got hooked on the perm rods. Both are honestly great though, just depends what look you're going for
omg does this hurt?and does it hurt to sleep in them
Was your hair wet or dry for this?
+Sarah Lewis it was wet but not soaking wet, I prefer to do these on damp hair.
Cute
