    Nice videos. We are in the process of a major kitchen remodel. A new gas range is part of it and Zline has risen up the list because of your review. An honest review by someone using the appliance holds more value than a sales video. Thanks!

    Hi! Looking at this Zline for kitchen reno. Have had a Viking for 20 years and LOVED it. The cost for Viking is crazy now though! Thanks for the fan noise input; I was really concerned about the noise level from other reviews! Great info, thanks again!!!

    Thanks for your 6mo update, it was very helpful. We just got our 36” Free Standing Range & Hood Combo. Absolutely love it. I had been going back & forth between the Zline and another brand. I am so glad we went with Zline.

    We have the 30" model and it's awesome. For those who are researching, it requires a 240v outlet for the oven and gas for the range top. We ordered in red, and have the stainless door and kick plate in our basement as well! We could be talked out of them if someone want to pay shipping, they are heavy. Lastly we have trouble with the back two igniters... they will intermittently not light. I saw some vids on calibrating the burners - might try that as there may be too much pressure. Great vids ty.

    I think your review was spot on and you touched a lot of good key points. I've read mixed reviews online about Zline but mostly the negative reviews were the same issues/concerns you mentioned in your video, which to me were small compared to some horror stories I've read about, including with the more expensive ranges.Your review gave me some clarity and confidence in purchasing a Zline range product soon, thank you.

    Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos! A new range is a big purchase, and since no stores near us have one to see in person, I very much appreciate your videos! One question I have is about safety features with the gas stovetop? Does it have any features that will stop the gas if it’s not ignited within a few seconds? We have young kids and have never had a gas range before and I’m nervous about them accidentally turning it on without me knowing!! Thanks so much for any help!

    On other sites people have complained that the oven temperature fluctuates and does not bake or cook evenly, requiring turning pans, etc. Did you have this experience? I have a super old commercial range and am losing my mind because of the reasons I just mentioned. I really want an oven that keeps the temperature and cooks evenly. I would think the convection component would solve the problem.

    The oven fan noise is a l little unsettling at first, but now we don't even notice it. I think it is a great idea since our previous ranges would get very hot when the oven was on.

    Thanks for the honest commentary. I'm really considering getting the induction version of this range, but reddit has trashed all over Zline. I'm not a heavy user of my range, but want something that has the look of Wolf/Viking at half the cost - this looks like it fits the bill.

    On the oven glass -- I saw in another review that there is no seal between the glass at the top of the oven door so spills went right down into the gap and now has drips INSIDE the glass. Seems like a big oversight by ZLine. Have you had that issue?

    We have the same range arriving Wednesday for our kitchen remodel.won’t be able to use for a few weeks but I’ve been reading a lot of reviews and this has helped. I have read that when the fan is blowing from the oven and you are cooking on the range at the same time it can get hot for the person cooking. Have you had this issue? Also, does it heat up the house? We live in Oklahoma and summers can be brutal. With my traditional oven we try not to use it to much in the summer so I’m sure we would do the same with this one.

    There is no comparison between this and Thermadore Wolf or Blue Star. Zline is not a top of the line range. It's okay but, people are all over the place with complaints about failures and btw having the fan only kick in when needed is a better option.

    Thanks for the very precise and informative video! I bought a house with a 9 year old all-gas Bertazzoni that is a leaker. Thinking of replacing "El Bombino," as we call it, with a dual fuel Z-line just like yours. Does the Z-Line oven vent from the top of the stove or from the front (like a Bertazzoni?) To me, venting from the top is better because your hood can vent the heat/fumes out instead of filling your kitchen with that pollution.

    • @LianeAlbertNC
      @LianeAlbertNC 7 месяцев назад

      Im here researching and Bertazzoni was on my list. Stove venting on the front?? That doesn’t sound good. I imagine it might things dirtier too. I live in NC and our summers are hot enough.
      Viking is on my list - we built a house in Dallas in 2008. The builder was using Viking Pro as their standard package and just after we purchased, they made it an upgrade so we lucked out.
      Thinking of also looking at Thermidor and my ❤ has always adored those red knobs lol. Really ? I can’t decide and it’s overwhelming.

    Thank you for this review of the Zline. Question - is there any heat coming out of the front where the door is? I was almost going to purchase a Thor and then saw multiple reviews from people complaining about the heat from the oven escaping out of the top of the door and right below all the knobs. That would be super unpleasant if you had to use the cooktop while baking something. Not fun to stand in front of! My old Maytag doesn't even have that problem. Can you let us know? Thanks again!

      There is a fan that runs when the oven is on. This fan evacuates warm air from around the unit to ensure surrounding cabinetry doesn't get too hot. This is not uncommon in a pro-style range.
      It doesn't bug me, but clearly, it does to others!

    When you are baking will your ovens blue pre heat light turn back on periodically throughout the duration of time you are baking? We have an oven thermometer and from what it shows the temperature in our oven seems to be slightly off wanted to see if you have experienced that at all with your oven?

    • @kevinmoon4148
      @kevinmoon4148  2 года назад +1

      The blue light simply tells you that the element is actively heating the oven, not really a pre-heating light. It will turn off when the oven reaches temp, then will come back on when the element is on to maintain temp.

    • @ZLINEKitchen
      @ZLINEKitchen 2 года назад +1

      Hello Christiana,
      Thank you for your comment. Kevin did a great job explaining our pre-heating light. The light will turn off once the oven reaches temperature, and turn back on once the lower heating element turns back on to keep consistent temperature.
      If you believe your oven is not heating at the correct temperature, please send us all the information you have on the readings from your thermometer to zlinekitchen.com/contact and we will happily investigate this for you, and assist you right away!
      Thank you.

      Well, we finishes that place and moved to Sonoma. Bought another Z-Line in same black and stainless, but the smaller 30" unit.

      I don't know about this range but with all ones I've owned, the hi and low has to do with broil and not bake. When you have the oven on high broil the upper coil is on etc. never heard of this applied to bake. You set your bake to a temperature and it will cycle itself through hi and low according to the temp so that item is equally cooked on top and bottom. Also, my convection ovens had a fan that operated all through baking time if I was using convection feature. If not using the convection feature , the fan just came on to cool when needed. The stove in the house I just moved from was one of those large commercial looking ones with 5 or 6 eyes and two ovens. (It was not commercial because commercial stoves are way too hot for most homes and would be dangerous to have. The home would have to be built and vented for it. But it had the look of a commercial one.)
