Top 10 movies from the 80s. These are the movies that people where watching in the United States from 1980 to 1989. A quick disclaimer. I did a ton of research to find the numbers, and I found that there are so many different numbers. I used box office numbers I felt were the most accurate.

Amazing that 5 of these movies were straight up Science Fiction, 2 more were technically Sci-fi, but it was more peripheral, 1 was a Comic book movie, and only 2 were set in "the real world".
