Wayne Haddix was such a great corner in this game…man, this brings back awesome memories
He was crazy fast all season. Fun player to use.
Haddix had supersonic speed in Tecmo Super Bowl. Ronnie Lott was another one like Haddix.

Awesome seeing someone playing with the Buccaneers. I’m a lifelong Bucs fan. Enjoyed Listening to you call out all of the old Bucs players by name.

My buddies and I played this daily. I got to a point threw 63 (max) TDs with Marino AND Scott Mitchell separately same season. Max passing yards I think were 6000 something. Timed curl routes were unstoppable.

Wow I used to play this back in the day but I was only good with the LA Raiders with Bo Jackson & the Miami Dolphins with Dan Marino lol! The Fact that you managed to get the Buccaners of back then to a Superbowl in Tecmo Bowl blows my mind lol! I am a huge Buccs fan that had to be like in 1991 or something when they had Vinny Testaverde & if I remember correctly I think that team had a real record of like 6-10 or maybe worst lol! Testeaverde had troubles seeing his Wide Recievers because he was color blind & the flare bright Orange made it difficult for him & he threw tons of Interceptions that year! But Mark Carrier is the only offensive player from that team outside of Testeverde I can remember & I just cannot see how you thumped the dog doo doo out of Joe Montana & the SF 49ers? 😂 you have to be very skilled to score offense like that in a championship game against the 49ers! I am amazed that you were able to mount such offense in Tecmo Bowl with one of the worst teams probably on the game at that timeframe lol

@@brothercharlesjohnson I know I get it. I realize how it’s looked at. I probably used it 5 times in the entire season. Nose tackles do occasionally blow up plays in the backfield in the NFL though.

Michael Carter (SF) and Jerry Ball (Lions) were super quick at the nosetackle position. You could select one of those 2 when you were on defense and make a quick move to beat the center and sack the QB on almost every pass play.
That is called lurking.
The best one at that was GB Packers Bob Nelson.
I use to play wit the chargers.....Tampa Bay......but my #1 team was the giants

One thing I never understood is why they made the ball white. There's no explanation for that. I love this game.

I still play this with the rosters updated to the present NFL.
I do have the updated roster version as well. It’s awesome that this game is still being supported by the community.

You got lucky that the COM continuously threw to the backs and not the receivers. Otherwise they would have caught a bunch of passes on you. Plus, Ronnie Lott was in bad condition. I can tell by the speed he was running. When he is on excellent condition during the later parts of the season, he runs at a blitzing speed on normal plays. lol He was not doing that during this game.
I was waiting for them to go deep with the ball but they never really did. It would of been much closer.

Lurching with the nose tackle is weak .it's not allowed in most league play.
@@keithpeterson6108 I agree especially playing against someone else. I still do it occasionally against COM just to mix it up. D-lineman do get through sometimes in the NFL.
Vinny is not a scrambling QB no movement straight statue
When he is in excellent condition in this game he’s not to bad but anything below he’s slow.
Oh for sure this game, IRL testeverde is a statue.... He moves better than QB eagles (Cunningham) which is ludacris to think lol

Ah I loved that game was my all time favorite game of any genre or system, what system was tecmo on super Nintendo? Where could I find the system and this game to buy that would still work good at the best price?
You can pick up a copy for NES or SNES on eBay fairly cheap still. I have both versions plus the Sega Genesis version. You can by systems that will play multiple different console games from that time.
I have the original in my Wii. How are you getting this version of updated teams players ect. ??
