Thank you for explaining that extra power wire. I was so confused to why I had an extra wire coming out from the ceiling. The manual didnt say anything about a 4th wire. I will cap that extra wire.
Mine came with an optional low profile washer. It has a grreen spliced wire attached. Do i attach this to the copper wire coming from the ceiling as well as the green wire coming from the ceiling bracket?
Just installed the same fan but 48in also from Costco (bought last year and just installing). Everything seems fine. Then noticed that the whole fan flicks off and back on quickly every few minutes. Afraid to keep it on. Any ideas how to fix this? The bulbs are dimmable.
I hired an electrician to install this. But the speed is really slow. Is there anything I can do to make it faster? He suggested I skip the remote installation as I wanted 2 different wall switches to control the fan and light.
So the remote doesn’t function? I’m assuming they set it to low and bypassed it. The remote is the only way to change the speeds. I would contact electrician. Thanks for the comment subscribe for more!
@@EveryDayJay415 They told me if they installed the remote I can't have wall switch. So, I op[ted for the wall switch. Now I am stuck at low speed. Is there a way I can buy and instal a fan control switch to change this?
After running the fan for a while, I noticed that the motor the rod and the canopy get a little to hot, is that normal? I check the connection and everything looks good. Any idea why?
Is there another source of heat near it? Check to see if there is something stuck in the motor and the blades are on correctly. I’ve never checked mine but excessive heat is always a red flag.
@@EveryDayJay415 tnx, thats ir just the fan, I read on line some guy has exactly the same issues as me, he found out it was the reciver causing the heat and smell. I returned mine and went with a different brand.
do you have a solution for the smell? I have two fan hunter and after some time running on the maximum potency starts smell stranges... it is normal??? because is the same on both
Make sure the circuit breaker is switched back on and you didn’t mix match the wires this is easy to do even if you don’t think you did. Also the fan needs to be controlled with the remove even of everything is powered up correctly. Thanks for the comment subscribe for more!
Time to triple-check it! Make sure your remote is functioning properly as well. Thanks for the comment! It would be awesome if you could like this video, Subscribe for more and please use my product links. It doesn't cost you anything but it really helps this small channel out!
The instructions say the outlet needs to be rated for a ceiling fan? But you never made any indication on how someone could identify this. Your mention extra wires makes it sound like yours was designed for a fan. As well it looks like the design has changed, a lot of your installation is different now
@@eveliacampos1280 i resolve it, you have to get an extension, I put one of 12' with the same color of the fan, I found it in HomeDepot and now I feel the Air of the fan 🥳💨💨💨💨
I cannot believe they don't allow you to hook up the lights and fan to separate wall switches. That is absolutely unacceptable. Who wants to be forced to use a remote that you're probably going to lose?
yeah it is kind of dumb but it gives the fan cleaner look. the remote comes with a wall mount. Thanks for the comment subscribe for more it really helps me out!
Just saw this comment immediately before doing the install and after removing the old light I had in the room. Absolutely a stupid design and definitely will be returning the fan. Who wants to be reliant on a remote. If anything it should allow a fan switch while an addition of a remote
I have a different model installed, the manuals looked the same and mine is dimmable. On the remote hold on to the light button (don't let go) it will cycle from dim to maximum light output.

What size of the light bulb just in case I need to replace the light bulbs for this ceiling fan?
do you think the ceiling fan light is bright enough?

Might be the brushes on the motor just breaking in. Thanks for the comment, be sure to subscribe for more!
@@EveryDayJay415 Pretty sure its an induction motor.
I did it exactly the correct way but the light and fan don’t go on when I flip the light switch on wall

Try flipping the fan rotation switch so it blows air down in stead of sucking it up. Thanks for the comment subscribe for more!!
@@EveryDayJay415 we did try that but doesn't work :((
I have the same problem. Have it on high running the correct way and the little plastic bags from the packaging on my bed are not even moving.

How do you remove the glass cover to switch a bulb light?
Slightly lift the glass light defuser and turn it.
@@EveryDayJay415 do you have a video on this ?
This fan has a strange smell when I run it on high. Doesn’t push air down very well like my old fan
it might not be as powerful as your old fan, has the smell gone away? Thanks for the comment be sure to subscribe for more!

Maybe it’s going the wrong direction. Try hitting the reverse switch.
