Nice. The battery life on these things is amazing! When I first got mine, it had a habit of restarting after I powered it down (something I think they've fixed since). But after playing around with it one night, I found it was still running the next day (almost 12 hours later). The battery level was basically unchanged! That was amazing. My Oregon handheld would have been dead by then I'm sure 😏
I have Garmin eTrex SE and solar. Which is better? Maps What about maps? What is the MDS system? / The writing may be bad because a translator is used. / 1. MicroSD expansion slot, 2. MDS&MGRS, 3. Inquiry regarding map use(image map, google Maps, data), 4. How do I use the map? (Is it not available?)
I don’t see a Notes field on the waypoint screen. I use that extensively on my GPSMAP units. Is it buried or just non-existent on the eTrex SE and Solar?
Yeah, it’s sneaky, when you create a waypoint, lets say by press & hold the OK button, you gotta hit OK again to get into edit mode, then you scroll down and you see the Notes field.

Option for distance units are: statue miles, kilometers, yards, nautical (nm, ft), nautical (nm, m). I see « kt » unit under Wind Speed

Yes, it’s one of the many cord format options you can choose.
