Thanks for the great videos. Sorry bit off topic today used 2 AA Eneloop pro in my Map 65. Did 2 SOTA summit hikes with around 6hrs of GPS on time walking Routes and the the GPS is showing almost full bars on the battery graph. Lot better than any other AA 's I have tried. Regards vk5cz Ian ..
I got the solar version thinking it would be a great unit for using for geocaching, and for on my bike, both daily and on longer tours. But is has one major flaw. The info boxes are tiny. So even with minimal information the current speed was far too small to read easily when riding on a bike when using the handlebar mount. Such a shame, as the endless battery makes it a perfect do everything gps for bike commuting, hiking etc etc. Hopefully the solar with endless battery finds its way into other garmin models soon.
Hi thanks for your message on our full training videos that customers get access to as part of a purchase from ourselves we show how on the trip computer you can select under the more options using the OK button less data which makes less boxes but the boxes large, we hope this helps, Kind regards GPS Training
I'm thinking of upgrading from an old Magellan GPS unit to the Garmin GPSMAP 67 with UK 1:25k OS map but wanted to know if the micro SD card with containing the maps be backed up? Just concerned as I've had several micro SD cards corrupt. Thanks
Yes, it can be backed up, but only put back on the same micro SD card. But, Garmin will charge you a very small admin to reburn your existing card if it becomes corrupt.
The unit I used to own, (lost it off of the bike) would turn itself off quite regularly. And I would have to go through the boot up procedure to return and find my course again. Is that a feature or a bug, or was it just a lemon I ended up with? Before I shell out my hard earned on another one, is the software still buggy?
Hi that is not an issue we had come across on our demo units, albeit I have not used on a bike before just handheld for walking, generally if a unit was shutting down we would look at any GPX files being used for navigation at the time for possibly causing the issue
I am looking at the eTrek SE. The only thing putting me off. Is the silent navigation. Does it actually have a speaker, if so could Garmin add the beeps via a future software update ?
I could not agree with you more. I am not aware of of any updates that will change things, maybe somebody else may know differently? No speaker on the SE at all
I use a etrex 20x now, for trail logs, when i metaldetects on fields. I get the logs out using Basecamp software from garmin. Can i do the same with eTrex se?
Can this device be used without a smartphone? I mean no smartphone at all for anything, like the good old etrex. Is it possible to create Routes (waypoint to waypoint) or is it just Courses? Thanks in advance.

You are not wrong, the Eneloop batteries are truly superb.

Yes you can, you can see me using it in this way on my ‘walk and talk’ with that unit - ruclips.net/video/DhLmOy1zji8/видео.htmlsi=yp_Ag0O4lKiW1M82
@@ukgpstraining Thank you, I appreciate that.
