Vanny turning on Glitchtrap is kind of reminiscent of Eleanor ditching the Afton amalgamation, both being loyal followers at one point

My head canon for the whole vanny destroying glitchtrap situation is that Gregory did free vanessa from glitchtrap but he didn't save her from vanny. Either A. Vanny has become her own identity separate from glitchtrap that is trying to claw her way back out of vanessa or B. (Which is horrifying) Vanessa secretly liked being Vanny. She was terrified at first but missed the strange feeling it gave her to kill. It's something we've seen in media and even theorized about William.
This is basically what I thought ever since I saw the Help Wanted 2 ending

I do think Afton did care about his children just not in a normal parent way. He probably "cared" but in a way of how he felt pride from having them or something similar.
He probably cared for them more as "tools" than children
My main thoughts were that he probably thinks a successful family makes him look good.
He wouldn't promise to put them back together if he didn't. He at least cared about CC but just because you care, doesn't mean you're a good person

So what is everyone's thoughts on how "Gregory" hears Helpi in Ruin?
Cassie speaks to "Gregory" through a walkie, and Helpi "speaks" through the VANNI mask (or through Cassie's eye, yikes). Not only would Helpi have to say things aloud, but Cassie would have to be holding the button on the walkie to transmit its voice.

Rye, just a thought... but, could Vanessa be so scarred/traumatized from her time as Vanny that she developed a distorted view where Glitchtrap is concerned?
Even though violence would be out of character for Vanessa, her visceral reaction to Glitchtrap could cause her to lash out at him, and by association, anyone he's possessing.
I actually love hearing the Tea on the croutons.(Kids) Hearing parents (who aren't constantly trying to one up other parents) talk about their kids is genuinely fun for me. Like be proud of your lil bebbies.

Maybe it was the “The death of glitchtrap” BUT not the death of the Mimic1 program. So essentially maybe glitchtrap is dead in a sense that the persona is dead and the new persona is Helpi for the mimic1 program to disguise itself. That’s what I’m thinking.

Yeah, Glitchtrap was killed, but he's more a root of the whole issue of the Mimic1 program, which also shows just how dangerous it can get with enough influence, you can even see this in Ruin with The Mimic and how deceiving he was to Cassie. Honestly they could go a lot of directions with it.
The way I interpret the Princess Quest 4 ending is that Cassie's Dad is intentionally giving himself up. Essentially, it takes place after his body has been destroyed by the STAFF bots, so he has nowhere else to go. The books consistently have someone's mind living on in a digital space, so I think that's what happened to him-he accidentally helped Glitchtrap, Glitchtrap betrayed him and killed him, his mind then moved on digitally in the VANNI network and started the Princess Quest 4 ending. In that ending, the 'trade' that is mentioned by the King at the end is that Cassie's Dad is intentionally giving himself up for Vanessa. Essentially, he is standing in for the Princess (who I still believe to be Cassidy) and trading his own life and freedom for that of Vanessa, since he has nowhere else to return to. That's why Vanny crushes the Glitchtrap in the end-it symbolizes how Glitchtrap is allowing the part of him in Vanessa to die completely, letting Vanny fade into darkness and disappear, leaving Cassie's Dad behind.
I think "I will put you back together " Is mike saying that he'll get his brother his happiest day, him getting friends, and going to the afterlife.
To me, it feels like you made a leap in logic for the prototype Freddy. It could be true, but Cassie doesn't interact with Freddy like the others and the prototype even disappears like the obstructions that don't exist when wearing the mask.
There is the argument that Freddy is in safe mode, which makes him not appear, but that clashes with why he would attack you if not connected to the network to be corrupted.
Aw I absolutely love hearing about papa Rye being a good dad ❤ the way you described horn honking to not knowing what the baby needs is so true and It's really great to see other people get that.
I think that the Freddy we see in ruin was just in a different shell , they more than established that they have different endoskeletons that they can put into any animatronic the shell from SB was destroyed so it would make sense for an endo that KNOWS that he's supposed to be Glamrock Freddy to seek out a new shell to inhabit.
I think the “glitchtrap escape” ending is the true ending because the protagonist becomes the mask bot. Feels like the most purposeful ending. If that makes sense.

Couldn’t it be Glitchtrap just get copied into a proper body in the Mimic(a la normal ending of Help Wanted 2) then, Vanny kills the digital remnants after(Princess Quest ending)
If Glitchtrap is actually gone and Vanny is still within the system could she be trying to keep Jeremy’s consciousness there and try to take over his body? It raises a lot of questions especially dealing with motive at this point, why work with the mimic while destroying glitchtrap

I submitted the last question, my thoughts were that he sees a happy family as a way to show success or something like that. That he’s be upset that his children die because it doesn’t reflect on him well. He seems very selfish to me
In a sense, Glitchtrap is a mimic of William, despite THE William being gone for good. Even though he’s dead, his evil and the effects of his sins still lives on. Glitchtrap is just a manifestation of it all. Even though William is rotting in hell, he always comes back, literally and figuratively.
Edit: When Vanny crushes Glitchtrap, a puff of smoke is seen. It’s similar to how Shadow Bonnie dies in FNAF AR, he explodes in a puff of smoke. It could be a coincidence m, but I thought I’d bring it up.
i just graduated and have been catching up on your context the past few days since i was so busy during the last few weeks of school i got so behind 😭😖 but a little random, i love listening to your toast-family updates, your kids are really similar ages to my siblings so it’s nice hearing stories and obviously i can’t relate cuz im not the parent but i can understand to a certain degree. love your videos ryetoast❤
I think instead of Cassie being possessed and corrupted into being the next Vanny, it would be cool if Cassie believes that Gregory was the one who dropped the elevator leading to her becoming a villain due to what happened to her and the other Glamrocks
Glitchtrap doesn’t feel like an old enemy in the franchise, in 2019 when glitchtrap was a new enemy William Afton felt like an old enemy five years into the franchise even though we only “officially” met him in FNAF 3. His actions permeated through ALL of the franchise, but due to the confusion of mimic or glitchtrap he kinda feels like more of a background enemy, not as important and like he hasn’t been around that long. Development has also shifted to quality over quantity with FNAF games, not to say 1-6 are bad, so that also plays a factor.

I've never really thought about it, but you're right about William's line, "I will put you back together." It very specifically is not something like "I will save you" or "I will heal you". He's not treating CC like a human son, but rather like a broken toy.
I think Jeremy didn't know helping her would make him lose his life.

Vanny is called an "Unwilling Follower"
So I think the glitchtrap ending with him coming out of the charging pod might mean that he was uploaded into burn trap and burn trap was taken by the tangle so he may control that now, corrupted helpi is Vanny, and the mimic is the Mimic. Maybe the vanny persona wants to free the mimic to use it as a body for its personality. Of course there’s holes in this theory
They just described what happened in the Princess Quest 4 ending cutscene. It never stated that is what happened in the actual story.
Also,what about Cassie? There was a voice in the pause menu talking to her before she put on the Vanni mask that I strongly suspect was Glitchtrap. Maybe they just mean the Glitchtrap in the system is destroyed? William could very well be a narcissist so maybe he (as Vanny) believes he is the only real William. Like Twice from MHA

My theory is that the Vanny persona realized that what she was worshipping the whole time wasn't actually Afton like she had thought, but was actually the Mimic-01 program, so she removed the Afton persona from the Mimic, which is what was displayed in the HW2 ending. Just a thought tho
Craziness warning: what if Ruin DIDN'T actually happen? The PQ 4 ending also has Charlie implications, with the green Theodore plushie, a Nightmare Puppet plush behind a pillar, and the Puppet's face on the final door, and Charlie was a part of Glitchtrap, so it would make sense for her to die alongside him. This is the canon and good ending. Meanwhile, the bad ending is Ruin. I mean literally, Ruin IS the bad ending, because that's where Cassie's dad fails and does the opposite of what he's supposed to in HW 2. That, in turn, brings his daughter down. In Ruin, you also see more Puppet plushies, meaning the Charlie virus is till alive. So my hunch is that since PQ 4 is the good ending, it would be the canon one unless Steel Wool is doing something weird here.
Also, can we just talk about how Ruin adds NOTHING to the story? I mean, it gave us information about the inner workings of the Pizzaplex, but overall the plot is just: kid goes too deep into building, gets killed in elevator, is down there forever. That's how it is with every ending. Brazil Ending: she puts on the Mask, then presumably gets killed. Scooper ending: she gets the Mimic off her tail, but has no way of getting back up to the surface. Everyone thought Steel Wool was going to build on that ending, but nope. Instead they've been focusing on the PAST of the story, giving us info about Fall Fest and with the Into the Pit game, but nothing related to Ruin has been teased. I suspect that Ruin's whole point was to give the information necessary to understand HW 2, as if we had gone straight into HW 2 without that info, we'd be completely lost.
This is probably also connected to the fact that at the end of Ruin, you go too deep down and end up at a red lake, which COULD be the OMC lake...? That would be a parallel to how Ruin is the CONSEQUENCE of Cassie's dad's failure. It's probably also connected to the Candy Cadet stories. The one about the witch and the girl is probably talking about the PQ 4 ending, but the other one about a family dying because they didn't buy the pizza is the bad ending. Cassie's dad misses the most important opportunity in his life (killing Glitchtrap) and because of that, his whole family is demised, because his daughter dies later on in Ruin. You can't have both endings be canon because in one, he takes the opportunity and gets the memories, but in the other, he does the opposite, setting himself up to be taken by Glitchtrap. So overall, my take is that PQ 4 is the canon and good ending while Ruin is the bad ending and not canon. Pls don't call me slurs in the replies🥲
Also, I think Vanny killing Glitchtrap in HW 2 might be symbolism? Like, it's not her, there in real-time, killing Glitchtrap, it's just a metaphor for her finally being free and victorious after years of her struggles with Glitchtrap and the Mimic1 program?

Mini theory when vanny killed glitch trap he escapes into the real world from the other ending because he always comes back
My take on it is that the first ending happens at the start of Ruin, creating Glitchtrap Helpi and turning Jeremy into Mask Bot. From there he stays in the code for an unknown amount of time and with Mystic Hippo’s help he does PQ4 sometime after Ruin but before whatever the next game is, killing Helpi

My thoughts on Help Wanted 2's endings was this:
HelpTrap happens first which leads into Ruin, then the Vanny ending happens after Ruin.
I believe this because of a detail in Help Wanted 2's Vanny Ending - How it starts.
You start off locked in a room by Glitchtrap that the Princess frees you from.
I think it's clear that Glitchtrap locked you in there because of the glitchy key and green lock. Glitchy green is something I think calls back to Glitchtrap.
This means that some point before the events of the Vanny Ending, Glitchtrap sealed you in that room. This also isn't the first time he's done this because if you think back on the original Help Wanted, it ends when you assemble Glitchtrap, he gets you, and then locks you in a room. This room later gets unlocked by the Princess in Security Breach's Princess Quest III minigame.
Considering Glitchtrap has you locked in the room at the start of the Vanny Ending of Help Wanted 2, this implies that prior to the events of that ending- you assembled Glitchtrap i.e. The HelpTrap ending- The ending where you assemble him and he attacks you with Nightmarionne S.T.A.F.F. Bots.
When I first saw that ending I didn't notice, but that ending is still in the AR World despite LOOKING like it's in the Real World. You can tell because the Recharge Station just magically manifests in front of you, as does the Nightmarionne S.T.A.F.F. Bots around you (+ Glitchtrap as far as we know so far doesn't exist in the Real World).
The reason why I think the Vanny ending is after Ruin as well as just the HelpTrap ending is because I just think there's less issues that way.
Helpi in HW2 is almost definitely Glitchtrap so when you see Mask Bot give the V.A.N.N.I. Mask to Cassie, I think it's a safe assumption that the Helpi in that mask is also Glitchtrap.
That would mean Glitchtrap is still around by Ruin which itself would mean him dying in the Vanny ending either does not happen or has not happened yet. Considering the recent interview I think the latter is more likely.
Vanny and Vanessa both use “he” and “it” pronouns for Glitchtrap, if Glitchtrap was truely Afton or at least a part of him, then the Afton side of him is gone, or maybe Glitchtrap entirely. We see the purple coding in RUIN, and MXES looks and acts a whole lot like Glitchtrap, has same poses ect. So, it’s sort of confusing. I still believe that Glitchtrap is both Afton and Mimic, sort of fused together. (Remember steel wool said respect others opinions), it just depends on what your views are. That leaves one question though; they didn’t specify if that was the cannon ending though. We see Cassie being handed the mask in RUIN which is one of HelpWanted2’s endings… So Glitchtrap still being around might be a possibility. Controversial but as I research more about MXES I really think he’s not just a program but possibly Glitchtrap 2.0 but instead of being stuck in VR he’s in AR now
I like that theory on b72 and this would explain the different cutscenes in security breach where vanny and vanasa are together.
I would love to be in on the Steel Wool brainstorming sessions before Ruin and HW2. Even if I couldn't tell anyone else. I just imagine they have a full compete story on postit notes and they all agree. And then they go and flip the order of all notes, take some off, and add some new notes in random spots that say "Monte calls you 'friend'" or "Glitchtrap eats an ice cream cone" just to mess with everyone.
Why would they kill him off,It's going to make it harder for them to explain the events in ruin without glitchtrap,God i hope they just meant hes dead IN THIS ENDING alone and that the glitchtrap coming out of the recharge station is canon.Also i think the reason that people are calling Glitchtrap a new villain is that aside from the books and a few cameos here and there in different games,We never really see what his personality is like,Nor do we see the iconic mascot suit again.Also dont even argue about it being an AI making it impossible for it having a personality because he was threatening Vanessa 24/7.
Dead in that ending or in Jeremy perhaps?
The achievement at the end of the PQ4 ending implies that glitchtrap was a virus of some kind that's controlling the mimic program. What if Helpy is the mimic program as a whole, with Vanny (who I suspect may be a mimicked version of Elizabeth transferred out from baby via that chip) being the original dominant personality? What if in the glitch trap ending, the glitch trap virus exports from the mimic program into a new physical body, AND THEN Vanny destroys the virus in the original program. This way, "Glitch trap" as a digital Afton is gone, but the entity formerly KNOWN as glitchtrap takes on a new form as a new PHYSICAL villain?
"What was Jeremy Fitzgerald's last willing action? And where was the control lost?"
I feel those are two direct questions that could shed light on so much of the context to HW2

The non-Vanny ending is actually Vanny coming out of the pod. The disembodied Vanny persona kills Glitchtrap and uses his plan to escape into the VANNI network
The discussion of the Vanny ending mirrors the Ruin elevator ending. Having to leave someone behind, in an elevator, to prevent the release of a monster.
I still think you are just hearing recorded audio from where the wet floor bots (pat pats) were standing at the time. You are as we know in the digital world of the pizza plex after all.
It could mean that what we were calling Glitchtrap has transformed into something new
William wasn’t even at CC’s birthday party if he was the bite would never have happened he would have stopped them from putting him in fredbears mouth surly

Maybe we are thinking of it as two endings when in reality, it's 2 parts of the same story. Roll with me here. We DON'T see how long is in between Jeremy getting jumped by the staff bots and becoming Mask Bot. What if the time line is as follows:
Jeremy, trying to fix this mess, goes into the system and screws up. He gets caught by Glitchtrap (who is still in the Pizzaplex systems) and is infected by Glitchtrap. With the Vanni Mask still active though, the Jeremy personality is in the system and continues the fight inside, eventually finding the poppets and unlocking the new Princess Quest, all digital manifestations of Afton's past (since Glitchtrap seems to want to be Afton in some way). We get through to THAT ending, and we see Vanni, a personality on it's own now (as established, if the SB Princess Quest ending is cannon). She kills Glitchtrap because now, she isn't Vanessa and Vanni, she is JUST Vanni, and Glitchtrap is competition. She destroys Glitchtrap, maybe subsuming some part of him, before leaving Jeremy STILL trapped in the system. THEN, we see Jeremy flipping through Staff Bots until he comes to Mask Bot, and what does he see? Vanni, the evil personality that she is, is convincing Cassie to put on the mask, to help try to give her a new body to possess, just like Glitchtrap did.
If the idea for this new set of games is possession, viruses and AI personalities, it actually makes a lot more of the games before make even more sense. Jeremy IS the game tester. The reason for Gregory being so confused, his true personality only just got back to himself. The mimic is an AI personality on its own and we know why it doesn't like Vanni, because these AI personalities DON'T like each other. These new games are technological warfare between AIs with humans as pawns and bodies as needed.

As for why Vanessa would leave the HW2 protagonist behind, maybe Freddy and Monty aren't the only ones who are too far gone. Not to necessarily say he is evil, but more like how Freddy is too beyond repair but he was a good guy
We have seen Vanny and Vanessa as two different ppl in one sb. The ending when you collect (I think) all the collectibles
Finishing PQ4 shows us that after a certain point, getting rid of the starting influence doesnt work anymore. Even if we get rid of glitchtrap, Vanni leaves us. Shes too far into her serial killer position, and Gregory is with her. What if they became a serial killer duo as a dark reflection to Mike and his sister in the fnaf movie, or like William and his daughter in that movie
Edit: I just realized if we go along these lines, the story of Security Breach is this: Gregory was already taken over and operating in the Pizza Plex. Vanni gets into the system via glitchtrap, but she must have been planning her own mission. Lets say Freddy's glitch is to crank his helpfulness to 11, even though Gregory is very obviously bad and keeps destroying the animatronics. I feel like Vanni was trying to do a full reset on the system, but Gregory escaping means that theres a part of glitchtrap still running amuck trying to escape

I feel like people think of Vanny wrong. Like a lot of talk about Vanny as something attatched to glitchtrap. But I feel like she exists as a result of glitchtrap, but not directly correlated. Vanessa compartmentalized the trauma related to having glitchtrap in her head, acting on his whims to avoid the pain, but separating it for her own sanity. Getting rid of glitchtrap (in my OPINION) wouldn’t get rid of Vanny. She still exists in Vanessa’s mind, but no longer working for someone else
Complete different theory, have we considered help wanted 1, then sister loaction, security breach, then help wanted 2; as a separate contained story standpoint.
Help wanted 1 ending being stuffed into "the one, the only, the only-ly-ly---" might not be Freddy. Possible it's golden since we have the one scene of crying child storage room fnaf 4,
However, we see one major character with a mic in this series.
Security breach, comedic styling of - STAFF Bot!
And in ruin, that bot has disappeared, with a random giant endo clawing from the screen and stage to the audience.
Hit up help wanted 2, the only time we see through a STAFF Bot, is to give a mask. I know Scott doesn't do coincidences, steel wool is pretty on it, just makes me question.
And for sister location, of course, you get scooped. They thought I was you, as Michael states.
If this is what's known, Jeremy has a solid chance of being the developer to have a face chopped, stuffed into a staff bot, and help his daughter.
Questions arise though, mainly,
Jeremy may be help wanted 1, and or 2,
Would line up if he got stuffed from help wanted 1, was comedy bot, and then in ruin to give Cassie her mask,
But sister location would have no meaning since it's Michael, and very clearly Michael we play as.
How would Jeremy have any connection to sister location, unless he was one of the fazbear technicians that was found hanging on one of the last nights there?

I think that I might be going crazy but while playing hw2 bonk a bon hard mode, I hear glitch traps hello from hw1. Not sure if I’m just hearing things but I have not heard anyone else talk about it.
The robot Helpy has the chip you remove from Baby, right? So maybe that's a hint that the virtual Helpy is Baby somehow? idk
I respect that you put a giant disclaimer before you start talking about the "too far gone" comment, but I just don't think that was implied. The emphasis was more about how Cassie's nature contrasts to Gregory's and how she implicitly tries to heal/help rather than she is just "undoing" what Gregory has done. When Jtop said Freddy is too far gone, I feel he's just saying she can't help the Freddy animatronic (or the Monty one) that she encounters.
The way I always interpreted the Vanny/Vanni stuff in Ruin was that post princess quest, Vannessa reclaims the Vanny persona for herself and for good (or at least her own means). She still has Vanny "powers" (what ever those might be) and she uses them with Gregory to capture the Mimic and repurpose the MXES computer to guard it. MXES is possibly where Glitchtrap "lives" and Vanny uses her Vanny powers and Gregory's hacking skills to turn Glitchtrap into the MXES rabbit we see. Now instead of doing Glitchtraps bidding, Vanny is the protector of the pizzaplex.
It's also possible that Vanny separated from Vanessa, and the rest of my theory still applies. Vanny is the digital caretaker still in the pizzaplex, and that digital entity of Vanny is the "friend" Gregory refers to at the end of Ruin. Either way, in HW2, Vanny is using Jeremy as a tool to get rid of the aftony virus part of Glitchtrap and repurpose it for their goal of guarding the Mimic. It's also possible that the game play of HW2 is actually retraining the Mimic ai (Mxes) to be "good". The Vanni mask connects the technician to the digital world in MXES and Jeremy replaces Glitchtrap. He is a rabbit after all....
Hey i wanna point out around 22:40 you talk about scrapped dialog from help wanted 2 where you say vanny is talking to the player. Tetra bit gaming the guy who said he found that later made an update video where he admitted he didn't know who the text dialog was for and just assumed it was vanny. And he apologized for the confusion so we don't know actually who was gonna say that stuff
I disagree with William. If CC died first, I don't think there's anything against William being a loving father who completely spiralled out of grief. That's more compelling than him being terrible all the time.
I think Vanny in the destroy glitchtrap ending is just the vanny persona disappearing, not actually a real person or entity
Yeah, in both the Silver Eyes Trilogy and the FNaF Movie, William is characterized as manipulative, abusive, and, perhaps, even neglectful. I will not hear of any William apologia, and I'm glad Rye agrees with me on this.

At this point, I don't know who to trust with theories. It's so overwhelming because literally someone from Steel Wool said 'bye bye' to glitchy, well, this isn't 100% confirmed about the fact of getting rid of him permanently IMO but if it should give us a clue that, yes, it's over with him. Look at this direction, but this direction where glichtrap is nomore literally doesn't exist is just exhausting. We see Glitchtrap's shadow in Vanny's room and also his PQ monster look. We literally made a simple conclusion with the Mask Bot ending from Help Wanted 2 and we are 100% certain that Mimic and Glitchtrap are the same, so how can one life without the other?
i know that FNAF SB was rushed and changed a lot but i am tired just still don;t know what ending is real from sb becuase vanny still somewhere, glichtrap still somewhere, burntrap is somehow now a mimic. What is the point of cutscenes if they don't represent what happened !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it;s so frustrating how they treat thier villians, i like help wanted 1 a lot most becuase it;s just simple, after completing the game, I can tell what happened or what will happen
And also a little thing that I saw on the internet: the theory that the Blob looks almost identical in size, limbs, and eyes position, like a Glitchtrap version from Princess Quest 1 from Security Breach. What if the blob is connected to him? Because, come on, I can't just believe that after Glitchtrap's great presence from Help Wanted 1 in FNAF Security Breach we literally don't see him, in Ruin only shadow and in Help Wanted 2 he dies xD

We don't know when most of HW2 happened so it's possible BOTH HW2 endings are canon with a time gap in between. Cassie's dad probably went missing BEFORE the pizzaplex shut down so it's possible that the HW2 Burntrap ending happened during the original events of Security Breach and then the Vanny ending happened post-ruin. That would allow the Helpi we see in Ruin be Glitchtrap after its attempt to escape into a body was foiled by Gregory and the Tangle. It makes far more sense that the version of Cassie's dad we see fuse with PQ4 and inside the claw machine is the digital imprint of him that was uploaded into the Maskbot.

What if Jeremy’s body was already gone with the transformers ending? What if Vanessa had no choice but to leave? There would be nowhere for him to go. Thinking that both endings happened
When you said helpi might be Vanny, I thought about the confusing SB fire ending with two Vanessa and in HW2, we see Helpi running away from a fire (if I remember correctly) sooooo? Idk 🤷🏻♀️
I don't wanna spam this a bunch or anything, but I was hoping to get your opinion on this idea and so I'm copying my comment from a previous video.
Could Help Wanted 2 have been a game recreation of Vanny pulling Glitchtrap out? Isolates the virus by collecting all the plushies, gets the Glitchtrap plushie, and gives it to Vanny. And if that's the case, where does that place Help Wanted 2 in the timeline? Or could there be two tracks? The first ending chronologically being him helping isolate the virus for Vanny, and the second ending being him getting put into the rabbimap bot.
