im still amazed logitech or thrustmaster dont make a cheap simple handbrake system like this, if they did it would sell millions

Facts
As a g920 owner and FH4 player i dont feel like i really need a handbrake, and i drive manual so i dont feel like i need to clutch kick, sometimes in really sharp i just hold the button on the wheel that’s the handbrake
@@enzoferrari8441 that's the problem. You're playing fh4 lol
just a random educated human I enjoy it. Just accept that.
thanks, now i have 3 handbrakes and 0 pedals)
Alexander Jevdokimenko who needs pedals when you’ve got handbrakes
hahaha
@Boom Bitch where i can buy a single pedal? Btw the brake would be better
You can now make driving simulator for people who can't use legs now.
Man-Ung Yi Good idea.
I had the parts for the first analogue handbrake in my eBay basket for about half a year now and never got around to order and build it. I just build your new version today. Cost me about 20€ here in Germany and about 2-3 hours to find a solid setup on my rig. Thank you so much for the awesome idea and your Arduino code! It works like a charm
Just finished my handbrake build after following this tutorial. Used a spare set of G27 pedals I had laying around, and man, does this thing rock!
Cheers for the idea and guidance with this video!!
I want to see a video of the full setup with all the DIY things you made in your videos...
I agree, that would b e amazing.
Thank you!!!! I’ve been using your first handbrake design (the orange one) for a couple years, decided to learn soldering for a button box that you have on your channel and now I’m confident enough to try this with the arduino! Thank you so much for these videos!
One of the best channels I've subscribed to, well done again
If you made full packages of these I’d actually buy every single one of them
And you can even tune it by changing the spring or adding a rubber piece (like the G29 brake has) to make it stiffer. Great mod, as always!
I was just thinking about doing this today with my old pedals and now this pops up how cool... thanks for the upload!
I dont own a steering wheel, and i dont even like racing games at all... yet i still find your chanel amazing.
Now this is a good idea. I have an older spare set of pedals laying around incase my main ones die. I might have to make this one up.
Keep up the good work. I love your ideas and tutorials.
well if you haven't done it yet, give me about 2 weeks for all the stuff to ship and I'll post on how it turned out lmao
@@mountseven8295 did it turn out well?
@@mountseven8295 how did it turn out? A bit late from me haha
Just did this mod with my g25 brake pedal ! And I cant thank you enough ! Works like a charm, feels awesome! Made me save over 200$
Awesome Enjoy!
Very nice! Too bad I don't have a spare set of pedals lying around lol
That was simple, quick and easy. Very good you are the best DIY channel on RUclips, congratulations!!
Do you maybe have the arduino library for me?
This works great, made mine this past week and really makes games like assetto corsa more fun and realistic
How did you connect it to the pc? I get connection but cant choose it in assetto corsa for my handbrake
Very nice as always ! Thanks for sharing us your ideas ! AMstudio is the best simracing diy channel 👍👍
Thanks Yam!
dude, thank you very much! made from water pipes and adapters but with your recommendations for software. you are the best. now in Asseto Corso I drive with pleasure! all cost 30 euro
Great to hear!
3:25: It's a drone!?
Ur an Artist
You can do this for and wire it up to a rj12 cable and use it for the csp v3s
so i can use the logitech pedal as hanbrake and connect it to my v3 fanatec pedals? how? :)
Ready friend. I already got it in the description of your other video. A greeting!!
The Best tutorials on youtube
Huge thanks for this mod. I just did it on a T3PA-PRO brake pedal.
Hey man about to do the same. Gonna make two one for me and my mate
thanks. I just bought a broken g25 set just for the shifter, now I've got somewhere to use the pedals...
Nice tutorial ! 👍🏻👋🏻 I look at you from France 🇫🇷
Your one smart guy! This is awesome I might be getting a g920 to replace my current wheel and if I can source a pedal from Logitech I can make a handbrake for my pc that’s pretty awesome
What is the type of the wire, 20AWG ?
I’m using my old thrustmaster pedals. Used a hacksaw and freed the pedal. I’m just waiting for the micro controller to arrive
J4DEE GAMING did you get it to work
Just finished watching the first video how to make a handbreak xd.Keep up the good work!!!
5 yers old video and stil come so handy😁 Thank you.
@amstudio would an xbox one register the Arduino
Just finished it, thank You!!!!!
nice work, just perfect second life for logitech pedal.
Can u plz make a vid on your whole truck sim setup??btw love the vids
This is genius, keep up the great videos. great hand break mod for sure.
Damn, this is huge brain plays.
This is awesome!! Perfectly explained!
Fantastic! Is there any chance you could do more handbrake stuff? I want to build one but i dont have much of the required stuff... Can you do like a really simple one?
julius jangelöv he has like 2 other ones on the channel
I have an arduino board, I think it’s the bigger one.
What can I do with that?
byGiNeSiToX Bananas the same
It will work too, as long as you're using the A0 port too.
And your arduino needs to be an authentic one, otherwise, some stuff in the code might differ.
@@imnota did not work with arduino uno.
@@DrivewithTony The arduino uno doesn't support the joystick library needed for this project, the pro micro, leo, mega, and others do however the uno does not.
Hey man. Great idea. Is there a way to connect the handbrake/pedal to a G29 wheel so a button can be asigned in a game to a button thats wired to it?? Theres videos with g29/G920 handbrake mods but your handbrake/pedal looks better. Its for PS4 also.
Can I use the ARDUINO NANO MINI USB V3.0 instead of Pro Micro 5V 16M Mini Leonardo ???
if you use a rj12 plug and not an arduino you can connect direct to fanatec v3 pedals or csw2.5 base :)
did this a few weeks ago with the logitech brake pedal :)
But my question is can I buy a completely different set of pedals and keep my original wheels in tact and it still work ?
hey there what a great genius u are,,,i have a stupid question....will the arduino work with PS4??i dont have a PC and since i dont play simracing every day i just chose a console(ps4) to start with!! thanks for the video
Doing same minus the circuit for PS4. Just assigned and attach a lever to the clutch pedal which I unmount from the rig and placed in a regular e-brake position.
I have a g25 so I have the sequential on the shifter which I know use as a handbrake and I bought the new g29 shifter for the h pattern
Thank you for the video I want to start building one , but we can use any type of sim wheel like cheap ones or we have to look for padel from logitech
THIS 1000000000000% WORKSSSSS! Earned a like and a sub man
Thanks so much! This was a fun project.
This was surprisingly easy for me to do myself, Thanks. Also why I'm I building all this stuff after finding this channel? send help
Nice work man!
Appreciate it!
You don´t need a Arduino neccesarly. Just use the normal Logitech cable and a USB adapter. That way the PC just detects the padels as normal G27/25 pedals without any comanding.
Hey thanks for the video. I just built one and it works fine on pc. I used my spare g27 pedal and an arduino board used long time ago to build a gimix for ps4... Do you mind telling me if you know how to make it compatible with ps4? I usually play on PC and PS4.
Does this work on ps4?
Awesome! Thank you!
awesome, will be doing this at some point!
Great video like always. Please more!
what can i do ? --- 'Joystick' was not declared in this scope
now could you do the tut on how to wire the single pedal to a rj12 plug to use along side my fanatec v3 pedals, i can send you diagram of the wireing to see what goes where for both the rj12 and the pedal, i just cant find rj12 crimpers to do my self,
just bought a standard thrustmaster t300 with the two pedal set, and the 3 pedal T-lcm set seperately, might do this with the shitty pedals that come with the t300, i currently just use a button wired to an old keyboard on a lever with rubber bands for a handbrake, lol. this looks like a nice improvement.
make one for thrustmaster pls
PS4, PC and PS3 if possible
+1 for ps4
Yes. How do I do this for PS4
Hey man I really love your work! Very creative.
Here's my question :
I have an old pair of pedals from a logitech driving force pro (or GT, can't remember now) that I'll tear open for this. My question is can I connect it to a USB encoder board (I have a couple laying around) to get a similar result?
Thanks
The result will be the same or similar but it work with both
Personally I have no intentions of making this but this is so sick
Intro of Subie 😍😍😍😍
that game where u drifting was Asetto Corsa?
Bite17 Human it was
Would any Arduino board work for this or is it just specific to the board in the video?
It looks great!
Fuck yeh, that's a great idea.. just need to find a donor pedal lol.. ive been using a 350z handbrake I modded with a switch to my g920 a while back.. I had a spare from my V35 sedan 6mt swap. works great but it's just an on off switch and a spring feel not hydraulic. Awesome vids mate!!
I've also got a spare master & slave cylinder. A diy sim hydraulic hand brake would be dope content..
do something like sequential shifter
Hi! Very interesting video! I'im wondering ifit is possible to extend the idea of this project in order to make and analogic accelerate anf brake system for wheelchair people? I'im thinking something like two analog paddles maked using the electronics of the brake and acceletate pedals...
I have been watching your vidoes for a long time, and i really like your ideas. Do you think you can try to make a diy h shifter that dont require 3d printing??
why not just buy a new g29 shifter for like $50 bucks?
because then i need an adapter couse i got a thrustmaster wheel
What drift pass were you playing on in assetto corsa??
Drift Playground
Dude u just made my month. Peace bro legend.
@amstudio can you make an handbrake for Xbox one or PS4
u can do it like this, without the arduino but soldering the wires to the joystick cardboard, i put the board outside the wheel than connected the e-brake wires to the °change view° button. U can do the same with an external shifter (i've some photos on instagram @deccus_beccus).
Is there any difference between arduino nano and micro? I want to make it with nano.
Nice one mate, outstanding, love it. Is sacrificing a pedal the only way to add a handbrake to a Logitech? Got a G920 heading my way and I'd love to run a handbrake.
Thanks for that mod! I been thinking for a while to build one and your solution seems very easy to replicate and cheap.
How do you attached to your Sim rig?
Very nice idea!
If I would like to do this project, would I normally use these pedals on the manual gearbox without a clutch? And would everything work in forza horizon?
I just didnt understand the connection part. I've to have an usb cable male male alright? to conect the arduino with the computer
i still use the wheel just got better pedals .could i not just disconnect the brake and gas leave the clutch and wrap the wires up im not using and plug in to the wheel ?
what is your shifter?
My setup is in the description
Do you think you can link the file for the 3d print so I can print it?
If so that would be great!
nice! and nice drifting :P!
Nice idea
Another great video!
Do you think it can be made out of other brand of pedals? I do have an old wheel drive from Genesis that I don't use. Thanks and keep up the good job!
im sure its possibe but would most likely require different software and possibly a different setup or arduino board. another guy in the comments said you can get the g27 pedal pots from ebay for $20. you could probably adapt the g27 pot to your pedal without too much modding. you would have to pull yours apart and see
Cheers for this video and all the others. I’ve got a pair of thrustmaster 2 pedal set from the t300rs would the same code transfer over from this?
Amazing!, but does it work on Xbox one and Logitec g923??
If we were to do the same thing but for a brake mod with a load cell and an amplifier (INA122), I could still use the handbrake sketch right?
Where can I buy just the pedal module?
Just hope you can find a faulty g27 with functioning pedals and you should be good
TheGTGeek I’m using an old set of thrustmaster pedals now
Ever thinking about selling some of the stuff you make
So, I´ve bought an Arduino Nano and I cant compile the Sketch because of that.
Is there any way to change the code to make it work or do I have to buy an Arduino Pro Micro?
What's the car that you are using in ac?
thanks for your videos, although I am from Russia, but for me they are understandable and interesting
Will this work with the dual pedals the t300rs comes with by default? Should see the same stuff if I open it up?
Hi there, first of all nice tutorial!
Would it be possible to run this handbrake and the LED gear indicator through the same pro micro board?
Thank you for this tutorial. Do these pedals have to be connected to 5V signal? I was asking because I'm waiting for a servo motor kit and it has a 3.3V signal only connection which I could use without the arduino board.
Please make a diy steerig wheel controller!!!
