I just wanna say two things. First, this one was on the best cars I've ever sprayed with n20. It just doesn't care. low bottle pressure, high fuel pressure, the thing just keeps on ticking. And, Jacob Davis is the Ginger Stunt Double.

Very cool. My first drag car was my '74 AMC Hornet Sportabout 258 automatic. I added some Clifford Research parts - cam and manifold, some Chevy push rods because the AMC push rods were too short with the cam, dual Hush Thrush exhaust, and a 350 CFM carb from a Chrysler 318. It ran low 18s. Without a torque converter and gears, it took SIX SECONDS to come up onto the cam from launch. It had a lot of untapped potential. But, I had a lot of fun with it!!

I watched the original videos for this when you guys found it and started to build it. Yep, I had a 75---Screamin' Yellow Nutless wagon too---except I yanked out the 232 1(/2)bbl, no hp, black smoke spewing six and dropped in; from a junkyard for $200; a Built 258 4bbl 260 hp 258ci into it. Beat the HELL out of it, bent the frame after it hooked doing a burnout and launched the front windshield about 30 ft in front of the car, startling the cop in his squad. He laughed all the way to my house as he was following me. Twisted the frame so bad, I never checked to see How rusty it was, that the front left wheel was completely off the ground. Every right hand turn had to ne done slow enough to bring the front end down but keep enough speed to complete the turn. Yah, he kept his mic open ALL the way. At 8pm on a summer Friday night, Everyone, and I do mean e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e, come outside as I was passing by because the cop was literally dying of laughter in his squad! Funny now but the MOST embarrassing thing to happen to Me....EVER!

Absolutely love it! I have a 2 door 71 hornet. 360v8 top end built 727 tf with a shift kit. Never stuttered over the factory redline. The underdog for the win. Oh I'm from kenosha wi.

LOVE IT. That motor will likely surprise you at how long itll last. Keep in mind that one tire is doubling speed VS if a Posi!!! Safety 3rd. I got a 75 Gremlin X258 with Clifford stuff and 4.o head....Itll melt both 255/60s even shifts to 2nd doing it . Are u running the Jeep 4.0 head? itll give a sizable gain in flow and bolt on...and im thinking itll be decent compression at about 8.8 or so and it takes a ton more timing without detonating compared to old head. Some dude in Midwest had a Rambler American (the 2 door that the Scrambler was based on) and he bought junkyard 232 s for spares. He never had to use one even after detonating the hell outta its oe 232. Any old AMC runs great with just more aggressive mechanical advance (best to buy the GM hei) and richening the OE carb or upgrading carb to a Motorcraft 2100 2bbl. They, as all all cars back then were hamstrung with smog regs.

This Hornet Wagon is a TRUE rat rod custom. I just watched that Icon DeSoto Wagon video. Although it was an amazing build... the owner handles the car like a Queen would. I mean he wont even share the experience of it with his son. It's a douche-rod. This AMC is so badass its unreal dude!
