The roses are going to look beautiful and add lots of color and structure in that garden bed. Roses are pretty tough plants, I think they will do great.❤

Good morning. Wow I feel that now the roses will well especially where you planted them. Really looking forward to seeing how they do and what each of the blooms will look like. I really love the earth angel rose. Enjoy the job you did and watching the roses growing.

🌹Beautiful addition to the medley of plants in that border.
🌱Bougainvilleas are perennial in zone 9-11. Annual in lower zones if not taken in during the winter ❄️. 🌱Bloom best when kept on the dry side. Protect from harsh wind.

Hi Amanda, it looks like your roses will bounce back and you may have a few blooms this fall. We all have our weak areas even with the best of intention. Mine is fertilizing regularly, the weekly annual application? Spotty at best, even though I can see a big difference, it makes NO sense!

LOL Now you have done some gardening that I can completely identify with! Late planting of potted plants. I bet your rose will bounce back and reward you for getting it out of that pot. 😁 I still have 3 drift roses in pots. Luckily they are a smaller variety and are doing good. Hopefully will get planted out this fall. Love those double coneflowers and phlox!! 😍. I’m still amazed at some of your plants that do so well on that west side.

I have a red petite knock out rose in a pot that is thriving, to my surprise. I also forget and leave plants in nursery pots too long. I cant keep shasta daisies alive!😊❤❤❤

Seeing your cone flowers lets me know I need more of them in my life. I have a drift rose I planted in a large cement container envisioning it cascading down over it. Its looking really sad lol. I'm thinking about cutting it way back and transferring it in the ground. I've never had much luck with roses in pots but they grow great in the ground.

I bought most of these roses because the varieties are supposed to do well in containers … not so much!

"Survival of the fittest," right? I'm rooting for them! I'm trying to get a Rise Up Amberness PW rose to grow in a container. Now I'm wondering if I'd have better luck in the ground. This will be the trial year, then I'll see if I change course.
    Good luck with the roses!!

Your roses will probably loose their leaves. I did the exact opposite of planting as you did. I moved mine from the ground to pots. I’m moving and I want to take them with me. The leaves are coming back and the first one looks great. Just moved the second one so the jury is out on that one. Salt is one thing I gave them in the pot. They love salt. You can still give them some epsom salt if you feel the need. I think it’s a great idea to do that though.
Good luck and when I move back to Ohio I will still follow you.

🤞 fingers crossed for the roses. They would look fantastic in their new homes. Coould the bougainvillea be getting too much water? I know they don't really like to stay too wet🤷‍♀️. Happy gardening! 🌻🦋🐝

😁😁😁😁 I saw in a comment that you may be watering the bougainvillea too much. I agree. I think I see a drip line to the pot and that will be way too much water since they do best in hot dry climates like Arizona etc. Most people water only once a week, or even once every two weeks. I’m finally having some luck. In the past my bougainvilleas went through a transplant shock so I would compensate by given them a bunch of water and they would always die. This time I just let the leaves fall off, water it only once a week and now they look great. All colored up again. It’s soooo hard since I tend to over water everything!!

Good luck with your roses. I have had zero luck with PW roses. No matter where I planted them in my yard, they began to decline sharply. All I can figure out is that I must have salt in my sandy soil. I am on the southeastern NC coast, so salt is not unlikely, although I am not on the beach. Gardenias don't like my soil either. I can grow other roses, just not PW ones.
