Thanks for editing together these 'go-around' highlights. Great filming yesterday. I think the highlight of the livestream was the ATR and Dash-8 landings. Must've been rough for the passengers though! The 380 of course was great to see too!
@@WalksInCamera you are more than welcome 🤗 and yes 100 💯 agreed on ATR + Dash 8 landings were top class piloting skills on display. I am working on editing the landing video and will start with those Props for sure 👌

Absolutely agreed, hats off to the pilots and crew over all. imagine those pilots having responsibility of over 200 people and even more on the 777, 350 and A380 🤩
Absolutely! What skills and nerve of steel these pilots have. The crew probably going through the emergency drill, the passengers sweating and holding on to their seats. Glad I wasn't on any of those planes.
Thank you so much for your kind words, honestly they mean a lot. I have posted new video check it out and also the whole 6 hour live stream in uploaded in Live section
Hi Mate, that catch in your video was epic! Would it be alright if I included few clips in my next video? I'll credit your channel in the description and link back to the original. Let me know. Cheers
That’s right! The go-around procedure can vary depending on the aircraft and the situation. Some planes may initiate with gear down and full flaps, while others might retract the gear and set a lower flap setting like 15 to optimize climb performance. It’s all about the aircraft’s design and the pilot’s discretion based on the conditions!
@@paulinecrawfordvilleneuve2077 trust me it’s was literally OMG day. These are only few go around that I edited. Watch the live stream and you will find out 😃. But the skill of these pilots to make such huge decisions on such short time is just amazing
@@micheleelliott5175 EK15 A380 was still okay in my opinion because the pilots decided toga a lot earlier but I knew that it will happen because right before it was lined up I was hit by Proper Gust 💨 and I was in open field so I had that feeling that he might find it difficult. What did your Sister and family said about the go around experience from within the plane itself.
The tire marks centered exactly on the 1000 footers shows just how gnarly airline pilots are. At any given small, GA airport I fly into…the tire tracks are pretty chaotic and scattered. These big class B fields…lots of tire marks but *totally black* at the 1000 footers.
@ I’m mostly RV-12 and RV-12is nowadays…but I’m thinkin about getting checked out in my clubs 150 to get back into that world since it’s been so long since I’ve been in a Cessna or a Piper
@ RV 12 is a cool looking plane. Imagine if you had to land at Gatwick on RV 12 . What a challenge it would be. I did ask this question during live stream that does it make it any easy if you are flying/landing a big plane like A350 or B777 compared to a small plane ?
@@RankupAviation With weather like this, for me, it would prooobably be a closed casket funeral. As far as the big jets go, though…I actually fly out of KPSM which is lousy with 767s, freighter 747s, etc. We even get an AN124 in there on a pretty regular basis which is mindblowingly cool in person.
Just a question I was wondering, I take it there's a marker or something on the runway like a point of no return, so if a plane is coming in to land if they're past the marker they go around because there's not enough runway to slow down?
I *think* that it's a case of markers for distance on the runways and the individual pilots know what the requirements are for their own aircraft because all the aircraft are different. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but that's my understanding :)
There are markings on the runway, the sets of white painted rectangles, you should be landing within those, if you are going to go beyond them you go around. The ideal landing point that they aim for is the largest rectangle. You can see clearly the ones at the opposite end of the runway in the footage.
@@Pailhead33 I am no expert but I think there’s no specific ‘point of no return’ marked on the runway for landings, but pilots rely on their training and judgment to decide whether a safe landing is possible. As they approach, they assess factors like their speed, height, and alignment with the runway. If they realize they can’t stop safely within the remaining runway distance, they’ll initiate a go-around maneuver. This decision is usually made before the wheels touch down, though in rare situations, a go-around may happen shortly after touchdown. Weather, runway conditions, and the aircraft’s capabilities are key considerations in this process.
Appreciate your comment! Totally agree that go-arounds are part of normal procedures, but for many viewers, seeing these maneuvers during a storm-especially with an A380 involved-can look pretty intense! The title is meant to highlight that excitement. Thanks for watching!
@@fogums thank you so much ☺️, 💯 % would have been scary for the passengers and we have to appreciate the pilots and crew what an amazing job they did in 50+ miles/hour winds

Some of them are gear down and full flaps, others with gear up and flaps 15 ?
