Right now I’m in a bad way I don’t engage in “adult” things because truly I want what Jesus wants for me. It’s easy to say but I truly desire to be the person Jesus saw while nailed to a piece of wood. My heart feels broken. I know anger I know temptation I know all the sin I’m failing In knowing love. I’ll say to myself today, maybe if I submit harder to the god of Jesus this might happen or that might happen. But when no fruit comes I get thirsty. I don’t know what to say or do as well or even how to act. I want to be the person Jesus died for and rose again for. But I also want to give back in the form of a family dedicated to Jesus. Be an example for Jesus. But it’s me I’m failing and I can’t understand why or how or what. I’ve listened to this all year and end of last year Please who ever reads this, may god bless you with what your heart desires. If I’m unfit to be what my heart wants so be it but don’t let it get you down. My days aren’t over yet even if it feels the sun hasn’t risen. My faith will continue. And looking at the 9 prayers for the single people on desiring god I will continue. I’m Jesus name. To Jesus god. Amen
I have a sense that the outline 0:54 is a model of relationship that connects us to each person of the Trinity. Wives and husbands, as the love Christ has for the Church. Children and fathers, as the Father loves the church. Slaves and masters, as the Spirit loves the Church. An intimate, familial, and fellowship of love that is also expressed between the Godhead.
I was miserable about there being no sexual intercourse and no childbearing in heaven for a very long time, even to the point of renouncing my faith and pledging my allegiance to Satan. So this is what I told Jesus: "Jesus, you are my King. Please hear this prayer of mine. Whether I die right now or at 120, please do not let me go to hell. Please save me from the fires and worms of hell. Please do not ever let me renounce my faith ever again. Please do not let me ever pledge my allegiance to Satan again. Please wash away all my sins including the ones I am holding onto right now and help me let go of them. There will be no marriage, childbearing, or the sea in heaven so heaven is not a paradise with sexual intercourse, childbearing, and the sea. Please let me let go of sexual intercourse, childbearing, and the sea and to appreciate all of their replacements in heaven and everything else in heaven that is improved. And let me never again fall into belief or consideration that there is sexual intercourse or childbearing in heaven, and for that manner, never let me fall into false teachings or belief at all. John Piper is absolutely right in what he says about wives submitting to husbands. It is true that v. 21 implies that there is a sense in which wives and husbands should submit to each other. But verses 22-33 also makes it very clear that there is another sense in which wives should submit to their husbands, and in which husbands shouldn't submit to their wives. Modern Western culture thinks it is so clever when it takes out its hammer and chisel and tries to chip away as many differences between men and women as it can. But it is really being very foolish, not respecting God as the Creator.
Agreed, most scholars view verse 21 as this: Their mutual submission is to Christ in their union (marriage) Verse 21 sets up the next 11 verses for each husband and wife to be lead by and as John points out at 10:30 in the video that it's both (husband & wife) serving one another as God has directed. My lovely little wife and I are blessed to be walking in and practicing this each day as we serve the Lord.

I believe that in v. 21 the submission of Christians to each other is not referring to the husband-wife relationship specifically, but to the relationship of all Christians to each other. I would see this submission as being about having an intention to serve each other. Then in v. 22 Paul moves on to talk about specific relationships, i.e., husbands and wives, children and parents, and slaves and masters.

There is no sexual intercourse or childbearing in heaven and we will not care about it at all. In heaven we will enjoy the non-sexual companionship of each other and not desire or miss sexual intercourse. We will enjoy being a family in Jesus and a name better than sons and daughters and not be able to or desire reproducing biological children. We will enjoy the marriage to Jesus more than sexual intercourse. We will enjoy all the joys and pleasures from Jesus with everyone else in heaven without the desire for sexual intercourse or childbearing. This is how heaven will be like.
Should be real beautiful teaching it isn’t an old terrible teaching even if it would be they don’t hear it right I’m not married no kids I’ve listened for 60 years and they don’t even love the kids I just look at them you can sing to it hopefully it will help it’s gross it’s worse than the whole world to go they don’t love each other come on let’s be a list that’s gross you should be first
