This was an excellent sermon on marriage. I always learn something different each time I hear anyone speak about biblical marriage. Thank you pastor John!

Actually, there is nothing in the Ephesian verses that say that the husband makes the final decisions or is head of the house (head of the wife, yes, as in relationship). That's something from the culture that's read into the text. Consider this: only Christ can make doctrine; Paul can only explain it. Paul cannot add in anything extra. So, all of the Ephesian verses are an example of Christ's teaching on how to love one another that includes aspects of femininity and masculinity. There is no hierarchy there, no who is the boss, etc. If Christ said so, then maybe, but he did not. This is only about relationship and not decision making or being the boss.

Ephesians 5:21... is for the church... 22 is for the house. To use 21 for the family is the same as Satan wanted to have his thrown as high as God. The church in the last days have made this scripture heresy at the expense of the husbands authority in the home. God help you understand His ways of authority.
