Allright! Another day and another Tuktuk ride! This time we go with Mr Joy to visit his local marked, pagoda and then to have lunch at his house! Another one of Babel Guesthouse wonderful tours that take you on the inside and let’s you experience what life is like in Cambodia!
Having our kids experience other cultures and learn from other people is one of our main motivations for traveling. Excursions like this is perfect for just that!
Joy really has so much to show and tell, and to us Norwegians that just have
chicken, pork and beef in our shops, this is truly something else!
Fish, ducks, bugs, crickets, frogs, snakes, eel. At the market you can find whatever you can imagine, and at Joy’s farm there is also an amazing variety of foods growing and living.
We want to thank Joy for having us in his house and teaching us so much about Cambodia and how him and his family live their lives. Your are a good man, Joy:) We are so happy we got to know you while staying at Babel guesthouse.

One of the best videos I have seen about local culture and local food. I appreciate the sensitive way you did this video. By this Joy became a very authentic ambassador of his country and I could feel the proud when he explained his life. And we western people can learn so much from them......

Lotus root is my favorite as well. Have it now and you may only find it in Cambodia because it is very labor intensive to harvest. Btw, thanks for visiting Cambodia😊
