Chinese people have a lot of ways to call their close/loved ones such as doubling first name (chenle -> lele), putting “little” (chinese: xiao) in front of the last name (chenle -> xiaole which means lil le), putting “old” (chinese: lao) in front of the first name/last name (chenle -> laole/laozhong). Personally, i find doubling the name is the cutest way to call others. The letter “le”/乐 in his name means happy, so when you call him “lele”, i feel like you’re doubling the happiness :))) Besides, the word “乐” has two pronunciations : le (in kuaile 快乐which means happiness) and yue (in yinyue 音乐 which means music). Girl, that just deepens the meaning in his name tho. Like, he and music are meant to be :)))

The one child policy in China was probably established after his aunts were born? I'm the same age as Chenle and my mom has four older siblings, but our family is not wealthy by any means. They probably had to ask the government to have Chenle after his older brother though. Right now, I believe it is a two child policy in China.
