- I highly doubt anybody will pull this strat off in an actual game but hey... It is plausible. Also to my knowledge the only way to instantly kill chipp in strive. I don't think another character has a high damage, single move and can also buff their damage to make it an actual one shot.
Edit: After seeing some comments and doing some testing, I found 3 other characters that can oneshot Chipp: I might make a short video soon detailing each way, so make sure to subscribe :p
- Nagoriyuki with Zansetsu (his blood rage super)
- Goldlewis with a 720 OR 1080 degree Down With The System
- May using Great Yamada (Requires difficult setup with PRC to make sure the clone gets hit as-well)
I didn't find this combo myself, instead I found it from a video by Mr. Unc: • Definitely ""practical... But when I saw this interaction I knew I had to make something out of it.
As for the damage calculation it is pretty rudimentary but somewhat accurate, with the damage counter in strive I got 434 damage with this combo which does make sense considering the natural guts damage reduction. Despite the video this also can be done with zero RISK. (The Mr. Unc video shows this well)

I'll be honest. This is 100% my favorite Guilty Gear video of all time.
Arkon KNEW what he was doing while editing. Freesia, the syncing of various actions and edits with it, the mods, the fast and easy explanation of how it all worked, and the magnificent ending that required so little editing yet added so much.

No chipp in the right mind would actually throw out Gamma blade vs an install bed or a blood rage Nago

Yeah but I tend to avoid risk if possible but there are quite a few things that do oneshot that I have found and their requirements:
Alone: (no wall break or RISK)
- Goldlewis 1080p
- Goldlewis 720p (requires cutscene hit)
- Bedman 632146H
- May 236236S (requires precise setup and timing to hit both at once)
- Nagoriyuki 632146H (blood rage)
With wallbreak:
- Ram Mortobato 236236S
- Goldlewis 632146P (requires cutscene and the ball break)
AFAIK or at least remember from when I did try these, there aren’t any one shots that only occur with risk or with risk+wallbreak. I don’t remember Leo tho so might be worth trying again, a lot of supers like Testament’s and Sol’s come quite close but no matter what it never was enough

To be fair if you are throwing out Gamma blade so recklessly you deserve to die like this (also the oneshot ONLY works in install, it barely doesn't kill outside of the install)

Are you sure in practice? The extra drone strikes aren't counted to hit the gamma blade clone. Also hitting both chipps with that super would be really hard. But who knows
I did test it and you are correct! Turns out not only 1080p but also 720p can one-shot. The other two I found from comments and testing is Nagoriyuki's blood rage super and May's great Yamada (but that has some complex setup)

There are a couple more reversal supers that oneshot if you factor in a wall-break but I don't think I consider that a oneshot since it's damage from two different sources. Same thing with RISK being something I don’t wanna count

Yup, that and goldlewis down with the system (base, with cutscene) are the only two I’ve found that one shot with wall damage

These actually aren't the least practical in application because gamma blade is a common meaty or pressure reset for Chipp. Having the install active is basically never going to happen, but Mortobato, the other famous reversal for 1 shotting chip, Has the range that you can threaten to do this as soon as Chipp does the move while poorly spaced.
In actual games this means Chipp typically just won't do the move while you have 50 meter otherwise he risks dying.

You'd be surprised... Arcsys made it so most high damage reversal supers ALMOST kill chipp with gamma blade. I've found 4 one shots so far including this one

Yup, improves the 6E specials and gives a 10% damage AND defense buff for the duration, oh and makes the 6E projectiles not disappear on hit/block

To be fair this is very unlikely in a real match and XRD isn’t exactly a low damage game either. The overdrives are just more tame since you don’t have a wall break as a guaranteed combo ender
