Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos!!
Thanks Dave for explaining the difference between the two and to me they are both great vehicles my preference is the RST love it and the colour.
Great review of the Chevy Tahoe! Thanks for sharing!
3 Days in a row!!! Dave B with the Vids!!
As always another awesome video Dave B I would choose the RST but with gold Chevrolet badges I’m not crazy about the black badges 👍
RST is really a very nice package, I think most buyers would step up to the RST thank you for comparing them. Great Video as usual!
Thanks for watching!
If I had to choose between the two, I would go for the white LT. I prefer chrome trim as oppose to black trim. As sporty as black looks, chrome makes it more luxurious when done right. Too much of it makes it gaudy. This one has just enough. Plus, it's something more to polish when it's time to detail which I like. Black shows too much dust and dirt. Plus, if you have a dark color, it blends in too much. Chrome is a nice contrast.
thanks for this, exactly what I was wondering. In the end, I think I actually like the LT better. I do prefer some of the black trim, and the 22" wheels upgraded to black rims are nice, but the LT interior looks better to me. It's close and I'd take either, but not for 3k more...
Great video as usual Dave. I have a '21 LT and love it, but two things I would add - a grab handle for the driver. My driveway is sloped down and it was dodgy trying to get in when the running board had ice on it. And rear door sunscreens. My wife has these on her Jeep and they're a nice touch. Good to see a physical button for the camera though, and I have to say, the surround view is superb.
I agree second row pull-up shades would be nice - surprised they don't have them
Totally agree with the sunshade. Adaptive cruise control and heads up display would be nice too.
That red is a beautiful color and looks great on the RST. Thanks Dave.
I bought a used Volt very very close to that color. Looked so nice my GF drives it all the time now....guess I could accurately report it stolen..
I just bought a 2023 Tahoe LT with luxury package 4WD in sterling grey metallic. Love it!
I'd only buy the RST w/ the all black 22" wheels. I really have never liked chrome trim on anything.
1000%. GM should make RST standard trim, gorgeous
I love the steelie on the RST. at first i thought we can option that one.
Those would be awesome winter wheels.
Great video thank you
Very welcome
I have a 2022 Tahoe RST on order. Can't wait. I've had Tahoes and Traverses in the past and I thought you could select a theme on the center screen like you can now on the 2022's driver screen. I could be wrong.
There were certain models that did have 4 themes in the past.. I remember the Impala and C7 corvette had the ability to do that. I can't find any settings like that in this new system.
I like the RST I love that red. Great video Dave!!!
Right on!
Love to look of the RST
Both are nice but I prefer the RST. You're doing a great job. I've never been a Chevy guy but am starting to question that!
Thanks for watching! and definitely check out the Chevy's at your local dealer when you are in the market for a vehicle.
The RST is my favorite and BTW, they can keep on making this vehicles without the auto start/stop feature. I hate it myself
Totally agree with you about the auto start/stop . Feels like the transmission is dropping . Dumbest feature.
@@johnhachie75for a second I thought u can mess with that auto start and auto stop feature not sure I think I heard something like that .
“Correct me if I’m wrong”
thank you .
@texas8107 you can press the button. But you have to do it every time you start the vehicle or once you put in park you have to do it again. Just you could disable it for good.In my other vehicle I don't ever have to press it because I figured out a way to press the brakes a certain way that the feature won't engage.
Thanks!
Great job!
Great video on the 2 vehicles mr David
Thanks Adam 👍
Yes sir your very welcome
My wife thanks you for this video...I lost out on my RST, to the LT
Haha, sorry my man.
For me, the reason to get the RST is to get the 6.2 with magneride. Really transforms the truck. That, plus the cat exhaust and brembo breaks really makes the package for me. I just wish you could get it with adaptive cruise and the head up display.
Keep in mind the cost to replace that magneride
Very cool looking vehicles! I'm shocked by the price tags! Yikes!
Suburban 23 MSRP 62k RST 65k.... got LT instead and loving it.
I love both, but I think I would take the LT.
I really like the RST. Very nice! Do you ever get tired of the "new car smell"? To me that would be a perk of the job. Thanks for the video Dave B!
haha, I think I am so used to it that I don't even smell it anymore.
@@DaveBsellsChevy hi, does this have a valet mode? How is it accessed?
Dave B I love the Rst one Good
I’m currently waiting on my 2022 Chevy Tahoe 2LT COLOR (AUBURN METALLIC) add ons are all weather floor mats , molded splash guards , Roof Rack Cross Rails & 20 inch wheels .I opted for the black out kit lol so I get all of that with out the extra $$, I also opted for 2nd & 3rd row bench seats & my sticker price was $66,000 the only difference between my Tahoe (which is still pending dispatch lol ) and that RST is the badging and I don’t have the black ice trim, red stitching, or 22 inch wheels . ( I’ve owned 2 Tahoes !! My last one was on 280,000 miles when it was wrecked or it would still be running !!! That said I WOULD GO WITH THE LT! Better bang for your buck !
hey from cincinnati love the videos
Way to much money you watch truck sales will slow way down next year people will get tired of this bull shit of dealers doing what they are doing wake up people e
Hey James! Thanks for watching 👍
Once its wheels are put on that red RST is going to look absolutely perfect.
Just traded a 21 White LT for the Cherry Red RST!
If we got them here in New Zealand in right hand drive, it would be a difficult choice. Having 3 young children (oldest 11, youngest 8), it would be difficult to pick. Dirty fingers, finger marks etc. Then playing with buttons, trying windows, air con knobs, that sort of thing. Then, a fight in who sits where. Or, just go for the 8 seat model and miss out on a lot of extras until kids have moved out of home. By which time its time to move to a smaller vehicle
I like both models. The factory shipping wheels is an idea that should have happened decades ago because of theft of wheels on vehicles at the dealerships and at the railyard waiting for truck transport. Back in the 1980s and the early 1990s when GM vehicles were easy to steal, the BNSF railyard in Memphis TN was hit hard with stolen new GM B-Body and G -Body cars in the ditch behind the public housing projects with tires, radios and numerous parts missing. And several Chevy, GMC and Cadillac dealers were hit for the wheels off the 2000-up Escalade, Denali and especially the 2006 Suburban LTZ .
The RST looks better but I can't justify the price difference for that. LT is the way to go.
Do the 22 tahoes still have the lifter issues?
Just got the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Seems so much more sophisticated than the Chevys. Chevy just doesn’t have that classy interior yet. Seems like an interior for a much younger buyer. I’m in my 40’s, not crazy old.. Always been a Camaro guy. Interior compared to the mustang, ford is way better right now. You even mention the screen in this video again. Just seems more “toy like” than other makes. Take a look at the GC L Summit for $70K, it blows these away. Being a car nut, I love your videos! Keep up the good work!
How much did you pay for the Cherokee L? I heard they were going for over $100k
I agree.
isn’t Wagoneer the direct competitor to Tahoe? GCL is not BOF
You’re right, the Wagoneer is BOF, GCL Overland is what we purchased, $59K and to me, more refined, capable and nicer. Wagoneer is competitor to Lincoln Navigator and Cadillac Escalade. Aside from the large screen on the Escalade, the Wagoneer is more advanced than both in my opinion.
Cherokee L in unibody, Tahoe is body on frame a true SUV 4X4
Dave, you know your stuff on this here 2022 Chevy Tahoe LT
The elegance and sophistication of the LT....
I prefer the LT. I would not pay thousands more for black accents and extra stitching. Shouldn’t chrome cost more than black anyway? I do prefer the looks of the RST grill over the LT however. Same for the Silverado’s. I really dislike the LT grill but love the Custom grill design.
I like the z71 package but the Duramax engine not available . Looking at the RST SPORT MODEL IT CAN BE OPTIONED WITH THE DURAMAX ENGINE
Would you think the Ls/Lt trim would offer a smoother ride on nice and rough city and highway roads than the Z71? I know the Z71 has upgraded suspension but Idk if it's stiffer and the Ls and Lt have smaller wheels which I would believe absorb some of that ridgidness.
You know everyone will always pick the higher trim lol I'm ALL about premium, trust me look at my RUclips, but I change things up anyways so my LT with the luxury package is a a head turner with the new wheels 👌
I know I am going to sound strange, but I think Tahoe is the most beautiful perfect SUV in the world. 🔥
The old ones, yes. The new ones 🤮. That goes for the Silverado too. I like the old 90s square bodies so much better. That goes for ford too
Wouldn't you have to reprogram the wheel speed sensors because the Tahoe was calibrated and shipped with the steel wheels? Or is the diameter with the tire on the steel wheels the same as the 22in wheel with tires?
The steel wheels the trucks are shipped with are the same size as the 22s so there is no calibration needed
Personally I love the way the vehicle looks with those factory temp wheels. I'd leave them on like that. Makes the vehicle look suspicious as a undercover car.
If those wheels were on a black truck it would definitely look like an undercover
GM only put ACC to Premier and High county which is really bad. It’s 2022 and every car should have this as standard!
@@enthalpyyan Thanks for pointing that out. That's a big miss, I agree.
I thought there is a difference also in optioning for Adaptive cruise. I heard you can only get it i. RST and up. Is that the case?
Do they still do 2500 Suburbans or Tahoes? If so, does it ride worse like 2500 vs 1500 trucks? Do they have leaf springs instead of shocks? Thanks and love the videos!
They haven't made a 2500 Suburban since 2014.
No, not for the public.
I’ve actually been wondering, do you know when GM will stop making the V8 and what are your thoughts on that?
They need to go ahead and stop putting the active fuel management in the V8s. They were actually reliable before they started that junk
Does any of these trims have adaptive cruise for 2022?
Available in the Premier and High Country models
$71,000 is way too much to pay for a Chevy.
Too much for any car/ truck. The average person can’t afford to buy it or most vehicles today.
By 40,000 …
I’m going 22 z71 tell me I’m wrong
They don't have the start stop because of the chip shortage? Do they need that to meet EPA requirements? Can the customer come back to get it added later?
I'm 99% sure it cannot be added down the road.
Do the 2022's still have the Alexa app in the menu? I know Google is the primary go to platform but hoping Alexa is still a thing on the 2022's.
I don't see one on there.. Seems to just be google assistant app
Time for the 22 trucks redesign interior and exterior these old dated models are a thing of the past soon! New interior is fire
Why does the factory put on temporary wheels? Doesn’t it cost a lot to ship the temporaries all the way back to Texas?
I like both but I prefer the RST look more.
RST the only I would change is put on some 80s spook hub caps
Which Tahoe trim has the foot trunk activation??
LT models with the Luxury or Signature Package, Z71, RST, Premier and High Country
Is there anywhere that shows how much is normally charged with electronic start/stop? I feel like they probably charge more when they're not having to leave it out.
I think I remember them saying they’re giving you a $25 credit for leaving it out. And you know they charge hundreds to put it in hahaha
It is a $50 credit for omitting it. There is no breakdown of what it costs because it was just a standard feature built into the base price.
RST, love my new Tahoe
cool stuff
I love this Chevrolet SUV
What’s different? The big markup over MSRP.
Imagine paying $70,000 for a Chevy
Chevy needs to do all black bow tie on every single car they make. The yellow has been getting old. Black looks great any color .
I agree, I like the black better as well
Dave, why didn’t GM give the TAHOE fog lights?
The drl are basically the fogs
My 2018 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid Advance front camera comes on automatic when you come to a stop and turns off at 10 mph. The Chevy does not even do that for 60K?
Every stop? I would think that would get annoying for all the times you don't need the camera.
Actually, I like the black steel wheels on the Tahoe.
How do you get 64k from 58k for the LT?
I prefer the RST between the both of them.
i need that RST in white sooo bad.
my dad sold chevys my entire life so my family always drove tahoes & suburbans. naturally i now need one 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Nice! Go for it 👍
@@DaveBsellsChevy Hi, do you know if the 2022 Tahoe comes with the lift glass? The glass portion/ rear window and can you open that?
@@chaosinshadow yup, they sure do. Standard equipment
@@DaveBsellsChevy thanks, I am looking at the LT Luxury package. Why does it say that certain things like heated steering wheel, front and rear park assistant and steering column not available when building on Chevrolet website? Does this mean we won’t get the features at all? Heated steering wheel is is necessity here in the north east.
@@chaosinshadow they just dont have the modules so the truck with be built without it but will be later retro fit with those options when the parts become available... heated wheel should be in August and park sensors not until around December
What color is the RST? Auburn Metallic?
This is the Cherry Red Tintcoat
I built an RST suburban I’m looking to order. My tundra is too small for a family of 6 and two dogs lolChrome is definitely not my thing.
I strongly recommend you order these vehicles with the bench seat in the second row, NOT captains chairs. When you have captains chairs, that leaves a big hole when you lay everything flat. Two things I don't like about this vehicle is unlike Toyota, every time you start the car you have to shut off the Daytime Running Lights. Also watch out for the university loathed engine start / stop technology. I don't like anything google in my car. Fortunately, this vehicle has Apple CarPlay so you can use Apple Maps which is vastly superior and does not spy on you. Thanks for doing the video.
Do any Tahoe or suburban models come with fog lights?
No, not anymore
@@DaveBsellsChevy shame 😔
Agree- my 19 RST has fog lights. I swapped the bulbs to White LED’s. Looks great and much better visibility. This is a miss on GM
What happened to all the 21’s that were awaiting chips? Seems like they are pumping the 22’s
They've been recently arriving little by little.. We only have Bolts, a few Traverses, and a few Silverados left to come in.
RST baby!!
TVs? Heated and or cooling seats?
These models have heated seats. Ventilated seats are only in the Premier and High Country models. There is an option media system that can be added. Here's a video on them ruclips.net/video/H3VSl3PHLig/видео.html
@@DaveBsellsChevy Thanks!! 🤩
Out of curiosity, did you ever sell a Chevrolet Spark?
Yup, I've sold a few in my days here. Right now we don't have nay in stock
My first house was 71k, holy smokes. I like the RST better
Best knock 10k off the price.
Those steel wheels like 1500 hd slivrado
What engines were in those Tahoe’s
Extra charge?🤪
The 5.3L V8
@@DaveBsellsChevy hopefully you start getting some with the 6.2 litre V8 now it’s available on the Z71/RST/Premier
How do you get those shipping wheels back to the factory?
Parts dept ships them back
I detest sunroofs. Why cut a hole in your roof and risk something that could whistle, rattle, or leak? I wish the car manufacturers would stop offering it as an option. I would like to see a video on the Tahoe Z-71 as well.
You can it’s called getting a low trim. Sunroofs are usually reserved for higher end trims.
I don’t do sunroofs either.. it’s a future headache.. and if it leaks, there goes your headliner!
Are leaky sunroofs that big of a concern? I’ve probably had a dozen from Honda, Toyota and GM back to the 90’s. Zero issues from any of the 3 manufacturers. Enjoy having the sunroof open for fresh air and well Sun 😎
Ever since you pointed out the icons in the main radio cluster are not consistent, its all I see now, and it really bothers me...
Haha, Right! If I get a Silverado EV when they come out I assume it will have this same system. I'll be rearranging the icons for sure to line them up better
Z71 for the win!
I like the RST with the cherry red....not a fan of white
RST for sure just in the satin steel color
RST looks better. Can a client keep the steel wheels? Just curious.
No, they have to be sent back to be used again in the future
@@DaveBsellsChevy Just wondering why it didn’t come with black alloy wheels? I know you gave an explanation regarding this on a different video.
@@erichmercado most likely to prevent transport damage to those pretty gloss-black wheels.
Is the Chevy Tahoe LT the base model?
No, there is the LS model below the LT
@@DaveBsellsChevy So that means that the Chevy Tahoe LS is the base model and probably costs a lot(a fortune);
RST all day 😍🖤
Man Chevy should get rid of Good Chevy logo in favor of black ones. The black ones make Tahoe and Suburban absolutely gorgeous. How is leather quality in RST compared to LT and High Country and premium please?
Leather quality feels the same to me.. I did fail to mention that the RST has perforated leather and the LT does not.
70k without ventilated and perforated seats? Wow.
You totally skipped the 2022 totally new digital cockpit!?!
I had that in a video a couple days ago. Here's a link incase you want to check it out ruclips.net/video/NQciCKdRQZc/видео.html
Chevrolet Tahoe compares exactly the Same Size to Ford Expedition
RST!
RST but too bad it wasn’t ordered with 6.2
RST all the way but $$$$’s....that hurts...
I'm not a fan of dashboard. Hate that looks have a ipad in front of me..that took away the chevy interior 😒 ima keep my suburban for awhile 2018
