Similar in size to a Nissan Patrol, it's your typical 5-10 million VIP chariot in the PH, beeping and flashing their lights through MMDA Manila traffic with a senator in the middle row. In the US, this is 40% cheaper and used as a "soccer mom" daily driver, used to drop off kids at school and runs to Walmart. For it's price and rarity in the PH, it makes it especially interesting for rich people to own, sets them apart from Patrol and LC300 owners.
The lowest variant of the suburban goes as low as PHP 3.5 million in the United States, it's insane.. If you opt in for an RST with a turbo diesel duramax engine it goes for PHP 4.3 million... If only import taxes don't exist amirite

It's just a Chevy Silverado 1500 truck with extra seats. Step up to the higher trim model High country or GMC Denali and a vast difference in materials are very noticeable. Can be equipped with a 6.2 liter V8 as well. This is your finest review to date! You guys are the best! 😂

I was lucky to have rode a silverado before going to Lake WInnipeg. So comfortable even if my host has upgraded his wheels to 22’s and we are travelling on a slightly rough road. And it’s so quiet even if it’s travelling at 120 KPH because of the 5.3 Liter engine. THese vehicle are made for the freeways and long travel
I love my chevy cruze 2020 model deym its doing 23kpl highway 10kpl on the city i love it, bought the car at northedsa with 300k plus discount 😅 im around 35k and 2and half year of usage only replaced brake pads and regular change oils

That trim level is supposed to be more off-road focused. Good for streets in Manila. There are hired trims with much nicer interiors. Not to mention more powerful gasoline engine. I don't know if they sell the more appropriate 3 L turbo diesel here.
I love my Chevy Captiva 2024 7 seater 1.5 L turbo Budget family suv.
I'd rather pick the new traverse Z71 over this. The size difference hindi na nalalayo but the traverse price and fuel consumption is better. Hope Caco will do a review of either traverse RS or Z71.

Caco is right mejo yun leather quality ay hindi kasing top notch ng competitors given the price tag. If you are 8 digit above net worth, kung gusto mo maiba sa road you can buy this since mas madami naka LC at Patrol dito sa Pinas. Pero IMHO imported Escalade or Sequoia still best choice for a budget with great features and interior with same body structure.

the most expensive 2024 Chevy Tahoe High Country 4WD with 6.2 L V8 starts at $80k( almost 5 mil php) here in the US.
But you forgot that here in the homeland, this baby has over 2 mil in taxes, thus the 7.7 mil price tag.

@@lx0922 i also forgot, Tahoes are also cop cars as well; I recently saw the latest video of American RUclipsr #CleetusMcFarland, in which he acquired several ex-police cars, including three Tahoes, one of them a K-9 unit, as well as a pair of Explorers (or Exploders as he likes to call the Explorer).

The selling price of large SUV vehicles with high engine displacement such as Tahoe will include tax in excess of 50% that’s why it’s so expensive.

Why is the Tahoe selling for over php 7 mil? Before anyone says ‘taxes,’ the Z71 sells for around $65k in the US. The Ford Expedition Limited, BMW 530i, Mercedes E350, Lexus RX hybrid all sell for about the same USD. But in PH, all of those cars are Php 5.2m or less (based on Autodeal). Even with their promo discount Chevrolet is either getting way overcharged by the BIR or they’re quoting way too much for their vehicles.
Sadly our taxes are doubling the SRP of these American SUVs the moment they step on PH soil. Plus add to that the hidden charges that come with an imported vehicle and you get a 7M purchase price for a 3-4M car elsewhere. 🤦♂

With the LC legacy there's no need to market it. It has a niche of its own. Imagine paying millions as downpayment and still pay atleast P130k a month for the amortization.

They cannot get a locally-sourced unit from their contacts from Toyota. Also, they might have vehicles that they've loaned for a review that are on limited time that some vehicles tend to get pushed back in filming schedules.

But seriously, car companies should make more of this spacious suv for much affordable price. I love how it looks and definitely love how spacious it was, but let's be realistic the price is for the most fortunate people.
They don't have to. The likes of these full-size SUVs are tuned for the American market hence their enormous size compared to our local SUVs. Even European full-size SUVs are smaller in all aspect despite being in the same category (compare the BMW X7 vs this Tahoe).
