This vocho si so crazy, muy chingon. The color, the big pair of carburators, the porsche turbine, really ingenious details. Está muy mamalon, soy hi from CDMX, Mex. 🇲🇽
@Kbrusky15 not bad all things considered, its gotta come out for a new pressure plate. All i had to do was modify the flywheel for the pilot bearing thats usually in the gland nut of a type 1 because the bearing is in the crankshaft on these engines.
@dpsilver1 aw you don't like my custom made grill!? It was hard to make.. and i made the hole a hair too big :( I just repainted the OG grill for that side to match the other one, but I don't want to cut it up really... i need to find the hole saw.. haha. No tranny work, but suspension and brakes have been done. I'm *dreaming* of putting some porsche 944 disks in the rear. They swap right in. Just don't have the money to drop being a poor college student
Next motor for my Ghia I want a type IV Porsche fan, the Bergmann ones look ok, but I know the DTM shrouds work great, just not my favorite look. Are those 914 gauges? I am thinking of running those in my Ghia. if so do you have any advice for hooking them up? thanks!
Chip Baumberger sweet! Ya the gauges are 914. I ended up removing the speedo, cuz it was reading so far off... the dash looks cleaner with the tach only. I just figure the rpm's/gearing to get exact speed anyway - good luck with your project!! Post some videos!
@dpsilver1 I cant really say, because i had to leave my car at home while i'm at school in San Diego, but the little bit i drove it was lots of fun! super torquey, but the carbs probably need different jets and I haven't gotten the opportunity to tune it at all. I come in about 3 weeks, so i'll make more videos then!
the easiest is a porsche 914 engine (the same one in this video and also the same thing as many late model vw buses/vans) but you'd have to convert it to use upright cooling. otherwise the porsche flat 6's... well you'd have a hell of a time doing it without chopping up the entire rear end if it's going in a bug. there are people who do it with buses though! search youtube! it can be done
Redskins Pride WGIL I'm not too sure, check out Jake Raby's website though, he's pretty much known as being the best I think. And I think he's located in an eastern state. Not sure which...Maybe Georgia?

Pretty sweet!
@BryanKeenanMusic yup! early porsche 914 tach, also porsche speedo, but not sure if it's from a 914

Hi can some one please guide me here, using a Porsche Shroud gives more power?
Hey buddy ive got a 71 bug with a 1600cc motor do u know wat porsche motor i can use if i swap it
How much cost one of this?
Looks like there's a hell of a lot of clearance between the blade tips and the shroud, you'll be losing an awful lot of efficiency that way.
John Warner I know this comment is years old, but it's another reason I switched to the DTM shroud
TYPE 4 PORSCHE ENGIN I.C.E. VS 200 BHP E. V.
Does anyone build Type 4s on the East coast?

I've been building them for over 40 yrs. Up in Canada .
Jake Raby is pretty much the type 4 godfather, think he's in Georgia. Not really the east coast, but closer to you than me.
bueno
Oh fuck that's delicious. how hard was it to stuff it in there?
