You can't prepare a kid for life by allowing them to always be comfortable, life unfortunately leads you to uncomfortable places and without exposure to it you leave them defenceless to it.

This is surreal. When I was in school I had a teacher yell at me and tell me I would be a failure because my older sister was really disrespectful to the teachers. They labeled me from day 1 because of my older sister. So.... I quit in grade 9, ended up in trouble, a runaway, homeless and drug addicted. I don’t blame the school for being right but I wonder if I had been nurtured how my life would have been different. Teachers impact kids lives. Positive and negatively. These are amazing teachers.

Kieran Bartley Reminds me of when I was in Year 8. This globally known workshop led by the Young Americans came over to my Secondary School. I didn’t think too much of it and for a while, I was hoping to just chill and not do anything throughout February Half Term. Or so I thought until my School’s SENCO at the time then recommended that I go join in that workshop. Still didn’t think too much of it first time around. But it was not until I auditioned for Grease later on in the same calendar year when I did start to appreciate Performing Arts as a whole. But at the time of that Workshop, I didn’t really want to do it but I felt like I was forced to at a time when I wasn’t that keen on performing.
I've been watching all these video's for the past couple of day's now, and this is the 2nd video that got me choked up & shed a tear. The staff & teacher's are amazing! Well done.. all the way from the U.S. 👍
Coral’s performance was amazing she did amazing she was so brave to stand up there and do a solo I cried and ran off stage many times but it should never hold you back if anything it shows you’re even stronger than you know!
