I, for one, would be interested in a video on working with vintage textiles. Your use of them is elegant, unlike many that go over the top. Your insights of the ins and outs of working woth tablecloths, doilies or table runners would satisfy the curiosity of this frequent viewer. Anyone else with me?
thank you so much!! I will be uploading more soon!! On my website lindy lindy you can see many of the latest designs I have made with vintage linen or cotton pieces 💜
I saw you posted and immediately hit play. Yay! And you didn’t disappoint. Wonderful makes. I especially love the panther outfit. You got it to work and it’s lovely.
I was so excited when I saw your new post! Your previous post inspired me to use lace from a bed skirt onto a skirt that needed a bit of length. I’ve received so many compliments on it! I’ve made the Manhattan dress from a bedsheet. Waiting impatiently for your new pattern!!
Your blouses and use of Battenburg lace and embroidery of vintage tablecloths is truly inspiring. Always motivated to try new things despite my 50+ years of sewing and designing. Thanks for sharing ☺💖
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! I'm delighted to hear that my use of Battenburg lace and vintage tablecloth embroidery inspires you. It's amazing to know that even with your extensive experience of 50+ years in sewing and designing, you're still motivated to try new things. Your passion for the craft is truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing, and happy sewing!
Everything is so beautiful! I really loved that linen embroidered set for Lindy/Lindy. That was just stunning. I had to chuckle when you had that cardtable size cloth you were able to make your top from, that would only make the front of a top in my size/length. I end up having to find a good coordinating fabric to piece together with small cloths when I make something for myself. You are so clever with pattern layouts to make the most of the linens. Im having a hard time with a tablecloth right now, cant work out the best way to use it to the best advantage. I put it aside for a while since I was going a bit crazy, lol. I took in an abandoned stray kitten a few weeks ago which has consumed so much time and energy. He was so young, under 3 weeks, so feeding every 3 hrs around the clock and odds of survival arent good at that age but hes doing well. Uses a litter box but still bottle fed. Just wont eat/drink from a bowl yet but hes getting bigger and I found him a home once hes old enough. Youd love his coloring, Christine, hes a long hair, black on top and grey tabbly underneath with two grey stripes on his head! Ive never seen a combo like that before. Im just getting way too old for animal rescues, too much bending for my bad back, lol. He is worth it though and he does make me laugh. So happy to see so much of Owen and loved the heart shaped thread on his head. ♥️
Hi Charlotte!! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the linen embroidered set for Lindy Lindy. It was indeed a beautiful piece to work with! I understand the challenge of working with smaller pieces of fabric; it can definitely test your creativity and patience. Your solution of using coordinating fabrics sounds like a great way to make the most of what you have. As for the tablecloth, sometimes taking a break is the best way to come back with fresh ideas. I'm sure you'll figure out the perfect layout when you're ready to tackle it again. How wonderful that you rescued a stray kitten! It sounds like a lot of hard work, especially with feeding him every three hours, but it's heartwarming to hear he's doing well and even has a new home lined up. His coloring sounds unique and absolutely adorable. It's amazing how much joy and laughter pets can bring, even if they do make our lives a bit more hectic. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and experiences. Sending lots of love to you and your furry friend! ♥
It’s mind boggling how creative you are!! I love everything but all the white blouses/ shorts are gorgeous!! Your last outfit turned out just perfect!!!! Wow!!

hahaha thank you!!
That last outfit, if the pants were a very slim cut clamp digger. Type, it would be a better balance to the puffy top and not look pajama- y!
Hi. Do you use tablecloths as fabric for your garments
Yes I do! 😍
PS...Patterns that used? Just curious.
They will be available soon on my website 💜
