    Congratulations on your baptism. The blouse is gorgeous!
    That black jacket you thrifted gives me Ralph Lauren vibes. It might be a great piece to style with boots, jeans, a white t-shirt, and a fringe leather bag, even though it is not the most obvious choice.
    Your patterns are so good!

    I’m so drawn to your aesthetic! Love the neon trim on the quilted jacket, and the kiss print is adorable! I actually own several jackets myself that are cut this way, love the pattern because it goes with just about anything.
    Aaaah, the fur trimmed piece!!!! Chef’s kiss!
    All your pieces are beautiful, thanks for sharing!

    Welcome to the Church, Christine!!! Congratulations! The blouse you made is so sweet and fitting for the occasion. You should wear it again for Eater 😊
    Love all the little jackets and I might get that pattern cause I love jackets. I used to be a cardigan girl, but I find light jackets serve the same function but look a bit more put together.

      Thank you so much for the warm welcome and kind words! I'm glad you liked the blouse. Wearing it again for Easter sounds like a lovely idea 😊 Light jackets do add a polished touch to outfits-I'm glad you're considering the pattern!

    Hey girlfriend, I can see why you snatched up that Thrift Jacket! 😍 LOVE!!!! I also love all your other bits, especially the quilted jacket with the yellow trim. I've always been frightened to buy quilted fabric, because how do you cut it without the stitches coming undone? Is there a special technique? If so please let us know, or even better do a video on it!! 😆 Thank you hun. Xx

    • @SewingandtheCity
      @SewingandtheCity  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks a bunch! Thrifting can lead to some amazing finds, right? 😍 As for quilting fabric, cutting it without the stitches coming undone can be tricky. One technique is to use a rotary cutter with a sharp blade and a cutting mat to minimize fraying. Additionally, you can use a stabilizer or interfacing to reinforce the fabric before cutting. I'll definitely consider doing a video on this topic-thanks for the suggestion! 😊👍

      @@SewingandtheCity 🤗 You are most welcome my darling, and thank you, coz no one else seems to have done a video on it yet, so I'm looking forward to it. 😊

    Love your Manhattan dress and downloaded the pattern, but I think my fabric choice (a viscose print from Mood Fabric) has too much drape. Do you think lining the sleeve with cotton would help? Or should I choose a fabric alternative?

    • @SewingandtheCity
      @SewingandtheCity  8 месяцев назад

      I think lining the sleeve with a cotton would definitely help! It will be fairly drape-y though but it will defintely work! This one was from a poly silky, probably a similar drape: instagram.com/p/C0e_O_YMo0D/

    Wow! I can’t believe the inside finish of your seems on the jackets. So awesome! I don’t think I can aspire to that but I wish I could. Wouldn’t really know how to do it. Is done on the machine?

    • @SewingandtheCity
      @SewingandtheCity  9 месяцев назад +3

      It's really easy, Sharon!! All done on the machine, basically just wrap the cut edges with bias tape. I want to do a video on it, now you've inspired me to do it ❤️
