I tried these today and honestly they were so good. A taste of autumn,i would call. I took someone's in the comment advice to lower the sugar and i thank her so much, she was so right. Cut the sugar in half for the butter. So if you like apples in desserts this recipe sure needs to be tried!
I just made this recipe and its really good! Don't skip on the crumble on top as it gives this really nice 'crunch' to the whole cake which is really soft. I would decrease the amount of baking powder by half teaspoon

These turn out delicious BUT a warning they are very sweet. So next time I will decrease the sugar at least to %60 of the recepi and I will not make crumble or make it 20% of the recepi.

Best muffins i ever tasted, and the recipe was halfed, i only used oil for the crumble instead of butter, and i used 3-4 tbsp of coconut sugar for the apple mixture and 3 tbsp for the crumble, the crumble was really sweet, i did not use an entire apple for the apple mixture. These are my go to muffins.

just a little tip for anyone reading! the muffins taste better after a few hours or even a whole day since baking. I tried one when it was warm, and I had one the next morning, and the difference in taste was clear. the muffins become structurally better if u wait, which includes both the muffin itself and the crumble topping. ik for a lot of muffins, eating them still hot is the best experience but not for these ones (I think!)
Great recipe, but cut crumble recipe in half and was perfect. Also used 1/2 cup brown sugar in the muffin batter and they were plenty sweet. Might even want to cut back to 1/3 depending on how sweet your apples are.
I made these to go with brunch, it was amazing. Except for the fact that my brother added too much butter and fiddled around with the crumble too much, so the crumble didn’t set properly. But even so it was delicious
Just finished making these and they came out perfect. The only thing i did different was i added some nutmeg and baked at 325 for 20 mins. Will definitely use this recipe again!
Tip: cut the sugar in half for the actual muffins if you are still putting the sugar on top!!. Still tastes great. Also it’s nice to make a crumple topped pie on the side since the there is so much crumble. Or just store the crumble for any other desert

@@dianaganda40 I'm not sure, maybe try using very cold margarine and mix it in with a fork, so it doesn't melt from the warmth of your fingers...

I made some and they're goooood! Chewy and soft inside. Don't worry if it's not dry like usual muffins. One tip is to select the tastiest apples!
