I usually like getting these boxes, but my most recent order was the worst I have ever received from any company. Not only did I receive 24 cheap Men's Wearhouse separates (blazers, pants, shirts) in one box, but the majority of them were so altered I won't be able to sell them. As in a pair of pants listed as 30 w 34 L altered to 25 waist and 23 length. ALL of the new white dress shirts had stains. The other items in the box that were not damaged were Goodfellow pants, really worn Brooks Brothers pants, and American Eagle tees. My other box was just as bad. I got exactly 4 items over and above the 15% that could be considered outside of their defect acceptability so I was refunded those but realistically I may be able to sell 10% of each box. After ordering so many boxes from them, I now know to expect that they will knowingly put damaged items in each box up to their 15% rate because typically all of the damaged items are together at the top/bottom/middle. So before buying, instead of calculating COG at 40 pieces, I calculate at 30 to allow for damage and I will only purchase if they are on sale.
They also put outdated horrific items in all of their boxes. I seriously do not think they should be in business. Their boxes all smell horrible, outdated old items(knowing we are sellers) The good stuff is always stained and well it falls within their 15%. I dont know how anyone makes sales with their boxes I wouldnt even want to sell their items. **I have ordered many boxes and lost so much money**
I think if the LL Bean stuff is in good condition, they are worth listing. Especially the lambswool sweater. I have had decent luck with LL Bean especially the older pieces. If you get newer pieces from them that are Supima Cotton those have a pretty good sell through rate. P.S if you ever find vintage LL Bean robes or sleepwear those are $$$.
My Plato's Closet is always looking for men's clothing, if that's an option near you. That's where my lower value men's from the Thredup rescue boxes used to go. Of course, I can't buy those anymore SOB. I think you will get to $40 to $60 for those Theory jackets. Make take six months, but Theory business wear is a great category. The "Ripping of the Levi's!" may go down in history LOL. But next time if wondering whether men's or womens pants or jeans, just slip your hand into the front pocket. You'll know immediately. I’m surprised you got so many LL Bean pieces since they have an LL Bean box (which I’ve gotten once, and it was actually awesome). I live in New England so LL Bean is very popular here mostly pullovers, boots, and other outerwear. Definitely has a following!

@@Ohyeahrachie I think it’s an excellent deal at $124. I have only purchased one box and did get cashmere and NWT. Of course the boxes are variable. Not all LL Bean is created equal but I would love to see you do an unboxing! Definitely not all women’s pieces in that box.
Sooo.... I recently had three items in their designer box returned from the real real because they couldn't be authenticated. And they all had the little ties on indicating that helpsy had authenticated them. I'm less inclined to order from them after that. I can deal with getting wrong brands and damaged items-- but the fakes is just too much.
That’s interesting, when I visited the warehouse last year they told me they don’t authenticate anything/ they don’t sell brands that need to be authenticated. So maybe something changed.
@@OhyeahrachiePrada, Miu Miu, and Zimmermann were the brands I sent in and had returned to me. I didn’t suspect a thing until then, though. And they ALL had little zip ties on their tags (as have all of the bigger brands)
My two boxes I ordered from these were trash , there were so many button down , a couple of jackets , one boss ( small) and one bar II , then a bunch of jeans , which were ok but nothithg great, Ralph Lauren tees , Everlane tees , and one all saints ( ultra Pilly and with a hole on the sleeve) as stated I do not buy more second hand , as have to re donate 50% of the box or trash with the deflects , so at the end it’s only 30% of decent items with nothing crazy , fir which I wouldn’t pay more than $6-$7.
Goodfellas is a Target brand. I would reach out to Helpsy and they should credit you $$ because most sought after is not Goodfellas. Also the fake Jeans and the other damaged items.
I just sold a Goodfellow grandpa cardigan for $17. Paid $4 for it. I don't know the brand. I bought it for style and the quality seemed good. Not a great profit but I'm newish at this.
Super interesting. None of this stuff is a good style for the brand imo. I was just at Target today and I saw Goodfellow in the men's section and I totally cringed lol
Goodfellow is Target unfortunately. So sorry that this box was a bust. My box had a few good things but probably about 1/2 to 2/3 aren't worth listing. A few things have sold though that may pay for the box, but I haven't calculated that yet. You could do Ok with the LL Bean wool, Orvis, and Lands End. I got an official NASA jacket which was weird, bunch of Goodfellow, dress shirts, and grandpa blazers LOL.
Ugh of course it is 😞 I knew I had seen it somewhere before. The orvis ended up having a giant hole in it. This box has such potential for an odd assortment.
Ugh this one wasn’t good. I got one back in December when they were running a sale and I think I got the box for like $99. I don’t remember off the top of my head but I did amazing. I got so many good pieces including a Sandro 100% cashmere sweater that literally paid for the entire box plus a few dollars profit. I’m just afraid that was a one off experience with these boxes!
I think that’s a horrible box. I’m not sure I’d take the time to list any of it. I’m super picky about what I list and I don’t list items with wash wear. Sorry but I think that was a bust.

Last one I got from them 60% had business logos monogrammed on the clothing.

Orvis is a good outdoors brand with their own standalone stores and catalogs. Usually worth listing.

I don’t think theory blazers are as good as brooks brothers blazers…but I’ve just been doing this a couple years, you might know something I don’t
I don’t know a darn thing about blazers except that theory retails for a ton! Doesn’t mean it’s worth a ton on the resale market though.
