Thanks for this informative interview. Would it be possible to do an interview with a dental therapist? One that has not done a BDS, but a Bachelor’s in hygiene and therapy? What they earn as a therapist? Pathways? Role? I honestly think NHS dentistry could streamline its costs by utilising dental therapists more, to do the less complex-more routine dentistry, leaving the more complex stuff to bds qualified dentists. It would clear the backlog too. It would be cheaper and easier to train therapists compared to astronomical costs of bds.
Sir do I need to do 18 months dental nurse course to become a dental hygienist and then to become an orthodontist therapist?
