Every once in a while I'll read a comment on YT that says something similar to yours.....about the young playing rock and all. I agree totally because it's so important. Playing instruments is so important and the art of it is too. I'll always give a "like" for comments like yours. Peace. You Cant Kill Rock & Roll. Nope! Never!
@@JamesReynolds852 I think it's a combination of things, taste, getting noticed and money to do things, record, produce, my son (23) has given it a good go (he's in the garage/drum room ,singing as I write this,)he's on it 24hrs a day almost. Rock doesn't do well these days as you will know, unless you are Slash and his new band etc,(by the way Slash and Lemmy both lived within 10 miles of us, and Ozzy Osbourne a little further. In fairness had my son not have had meningitis at 18 he may have been in a different place now ,still, that's life.
Considering I haven't been to any live shows since this joke of a pandemic for old folks and those with compromised systems, and hardly anyone else, this would be one group I would love to see and experience.
These kids wrote a big check with their ambitions here...and their collective asses were pretty close to being able to cash it👍🤘 The double bass drumming was not too shabby.
All of these musicians sounded great, creating MUSIC by playing as a BAND in front of an AUDIENCE. No second takes, no perfection, no do-overs in their rooms at home, they were putting it all out there in front of a live audience. I clicked on this channel and watched quite a few of the videos from them. They did Van Halen proud, it's easy to mess up these songs and they didn't. Germantown SOR has some talented players. Keep up the work, y'all.
Awesome!!! All around great job!! Sounded great!! The fact that kid even has on the overalls gives me the biggest smile. I feel you young man!! NEVER STOP PLAYING!!! You and the whole band are extremely talented!! R.I.P KING EVH!!
YES! Yes, Yes, Yes! So much going on here, the guitarist is a BEAST, at first I thought this might be an old Deraps video, he's that good. But watch this one a second time through and focus on the bassist... ALSO a friggin' BEAST. Drummer is awesome, great job on the breakdown in Light Up the Sky. The girls' harmonies were very good on that song. And song choice, these are deep tracks, and excellent ones at that. Loved this performance. And now I see 10 other Van Halen covers in your video list, but also Whitesnake, Zeppelin... Yes. Liked and Subscribed immediately.
Vocals on various School of Rock, and School of Rock All-stars always tend to be the weakest links in shows and productions, and yes, that is usually down to how they are so low in the mix. But the same can be said in most guitar driven bands, and even bass driven bands. I was at an Uli Von Roth show, and people were complaining they couldn't hear the vocalist. To which Uli stopped the show to say, "Did you come here to hear him, or to hear me?"
@@luvyesmusici4886 yeah well....with ME going to see a band I may have NEVER seen nor heard.... I would like to hear ALL of them....not such a hard concept if yer in the biz right? I mean...jimmy page was a KILLER guitar player....BONZO was a KILLER drummer...John paul jones was a MONSTER bass player....WHAT if they had lowered the mic of Robert Plant?.....please explain your theory NOW?
The Power Trio playing in the beginning were sweet! They were on it. Lead guitarists should never care what anyone thinks of them. I saw some video interview that featured the guitarist from Twisted Sister/J.J. French? ( not a big fan of the group, btw), and he was talking about when he got his first Marshall amp/dpeaker as a young man. He was several stories up, playing it loud, with the window open. After a while, he hears knocking on the door of the apartment. Young guy at the door who said he first followed the noise of the guitar after first hearing it from two New York City blocks away.
After DLR and VH parted ways, Eddie was really interested in having a female lead singer. Great hearing females sing these songs to give it a new "twist".
Not just a female lead singer, but Patty Smyth of Scandal fame ( who was several months pregnant at the time when Eddie asked her). She is still a top notch vocalist, who just happens to be a woman. Very powerful singer, right up there with Anne Wilson of Heart. My favorite musical moment on Letterman back in the day, was when Patty sang a Led Zepplin song with the house band. Look it up. She KILLED it!
Unfucking believable. Been following Halen since 78, saw them a dozen times and never heard ANY one play that cover… More importantly….you three did it close to perfect. Keep rocking guys…dam glad to see you
On a scale of 1 to 10 I rate these kids at 50. Great job! And then the girl came out with the zebra spandex, I Love it, bring back the 80's, best music ever.......
Great guys play that rock - you have good technical qualities all of you. Keep on. Still have my band formed in school nearly 40 years ago - we made our own songs, add a new one every fifth year or so. We all play a little and then we get together to try out before we have a gig. This is having a band and still spending most time to excell as a man
I was lucky enough to see every Roth era tour except the 1st! Awesome to see kids who appreciate raw live music! The 3 piece is tight! The girls weren’t loud enough and lacked energy. Guitarist also lacked showmanship but the chops are definitely there! A bit of work and I see a money making tribute band!
Women and Children First, one of my favorite VH LP's, this guitar player loves that album as well as they have covered many tunes for the album. BTW, the drummer is getting it right, great job with the double bass.
It's good to see young people playing Rock n Roll
Hell yeah...and do it well !

It's good to see young people playing Van Halen.
and absolutely nailing it!
And playing real rock N roll at that !
Damn that drummer is killin' it, especially during the bridge section.
Man, that bass player was kickin it great too !!! Fist bumps from Canada :)
This video is a prime example of Rock and Roll never dying!
It is built to last forever!
Rock will live on thanks to wonderful musicians like these guys ! Im an old 70ish guitarist and i am so happy these young musicians exist 👍🏻
"The force is STRONG with this young EVH one..."
It does my heart good to see young people paying homage to one of the greatest of all time and done in such an excellent manner!!!👍
Wow ! Great job 👍 and great song selection 👌
R.I.P. EDDIE we Love you ❤❤❤❤❤
Got to give a shout out to these kids rocking the classic Van Halen.. 100👍
There is hope for the future and it’s these kids!
Not when it's up to the record companies sadly.
@@chrisbell5032 Because of the internet record companies no longer have as much power as they once had.

VH's most metal song - Loss Of Control - you guys nailed it spot on
I think Honeybabysweetiedoll is more metal
@@wob6776 yeah man tough call - I wonder if this is one of the tunes written before VH1

You guys rock!!!! Nailin the EVH tone!!! Your drummer is badass too!
I was just gonna say, give it up for tha kid on the kit!
MAkes me smile to see some long hair kids ripp'n-up the tunes I did in my youth!!
Bass player is wicked. And of course guitar man too. Y’all are tight 🤘🏻 great job
Excellent versions young people! That guitar tone is righteous. God Bless Ya ll.
I have no words.... Just amazing!
This restores my faith in the future lol❣️👊❣️ Young lad playing non mainstream old VH is gold🔥
Very cool. They brought it and that young fella playing guitar was on point!!!!!!
I grew up on this man I totally appreciate it thank you

My God these kids are good, the musicians are on point, love the extended version of Tora Tora ... Going back to listen to it again 🤘
As a Van Halen fan of FORTY YEARS…. I have to say:
BRAVO!!!! 👍🏻

Nice choice of songs, tough ones and you executed it quite nicely. Eddie is proud!
Those guys are amazing! Kudos to the guitarist that was able give a superb rendition of Van Halen!
Emociona escuchar a jóvenes manteniendo el espíritu vivo de los años dorados de Van Halen.
La verdad!
Kids did great. They have great taste in music.
