    Neil is a good dude. I’ve been supporting his companies since back when he had the Sintercore lever-less takedown pin. The gel earpads are amazing too so I expect the pano bridge is another home run.

    Neal is such a good dude. Way back when he released the gel cups, he straight up surprised me and sent me a set for my howard leights for free, back when I was struggling a bit more financially. All because I had supported his company, That was 3-4 years ago and I still use them haha I had bought a set for my flight helmet for work, and regrettably ended up having to send them back because the ear piece was bigger than all other gentex items. But Neal walked me through all the different ways to try to get them to fit, and when it just wasnt gonna happen, he was more than happy to refund me.
    I reckon Ill always support and recommend his company and products to anyone, just because hes a such a stand up guy. and cause what he makes I truly believe in.

    One thing people talk a lot about with Dual tubes is the added sense of depth of field (walking through physical space). When you have the added FOV does that contribute to more spacial awareness?

    • @francism9782
      @francism9782 3 года назад

      For me it does. Going from 40 to a little over 60 degrees fov with both eyes open makes navigating much easier. When running the panobridge like a traditional dual tube set up I did also get the depth of field but I was surprised how limited the field of view was (not much better than a single tube set up really).

      I thought the same at first but the shock flexibility and weight savings of polymer is nice. I’m really not worried about durability it’s a very solid product so far. Even got bumped around a few times

    Do you get that venn diagram effect when actually looking through the unit as compared to viewing the camera?

    • @GunsandTactics
      @GunsandTactics  3 года назад +1

      A little bit of overlap but it kind of goes away or becomes less noticeable once it’s adjusted right. There is the venn but you sort of forget about it if that makes sense

    • @francism9782
      @francism9782 3 года назад +3

      It really is all about hitting that sweet spot. The overlap becomes much less noticeable when you start using it. I think of it like both eyes being able to see the side of your nose in their peripheral...it's always there and you can see it if you want to but we don't notice it a lot when we are busy.

      Update. I modified the oculars to get a bigger fov, which bc i couldn't get one clear pic with both eyes. So i undone the mod and it works again

    • @GunsandTactics
      @GunsandTactics  3 года назад +1

      For passive aiming I preferred both forward in a true binocular. Wasn’t hard in pano mode but not quite as fluid if that makes sense. That’s what I really like about this though, can easily do both very well. I look at this from different realistic uses and am really happy with it

    You'd be better off buying binos for the same or less money and a lot less weight. Looking through the sides of the glass is not ideal with the pano bridge. The clearest portion of the glass is always going to be through the middle of the lenses. At night there are so many more things to worry about in a dynamic situations while trying to remember you have to move your 14s back to bino mode so you can use your RDS pistol. The 500.00 cost of the pano bridge alone makes the geewiz factor wear off rather quickly. That and the short duration of less than 5 mins you can comfortably wear them makes it a solid pass.

    • @xXsniperXxDF1
      @xXsniperXxDF1 3 года назад +1

      You can get Panobridge pvs14s to under 20 oz, quite comparable with other modern dedicated dual tube systems with redundancy in the system as well!
      No need to ajust the Panobridge to shoot red dot, simply turn your head ever so slightly and BAM perfect aiming through the optic.

    • @GunsandTactics
      @GunsandTactics  3 года назад +2

      Thanks for the comment. Good points and things to consider for sure. In a dynamic situation yeah you could easily run them both forward. Obviously some situations evolve quickly but there are many times when planning works out. I’ve been very happy and worn them for hours on various calls since the video was recorded. They might not be the best for everyone but I’m still very happy with them for the reasons I talked about in the video. I’m trying to find some binos to do a comparison video for the future as well

      @@xXsniperXxDF1 By the time you buy new lighter weight battery housings to get the weight down you'll be well above the cost of brand new NVD BNVDs. I guess I'm more in the KISS camp where I don't have to worry about turning my head to use my RDS sight to shoot passively. IMHO the cons far out weigh the pros for the pano bridge. Also the overlapping of images I find to be very distracting and after a short period of use can cause headaches.

    • @xXsniperXxDF1
      @xXsniperXxDF1 3 года назад +1

      @@munnyshot8301 It's not always about total about cost, sometimes it's about performance to cost ratio and these things have a boatload of it!
      Less weight VS a quad tube system, option for nearly DOUBLE field of view VS standard 40 degrees, ability to fit into a cargo pocket, redundancy within the power supply.
      PanoBridge is user adjustable to match the individual, the distance between the eyes and their individual brain via the adjustable field of view to match their comfort level, any headache should usually be user correctable via the adjustable FoV as well.
      I think about it like this, do you aim passively more or do you scan more?
      I'd rather make it easier/less intensive to do the thing required the most for best situational awareness.
      For me that's scanning and not passive aiming.
      Still, if your particular brain doesn't jive with it I can see how you would think it sucks..

      @@xXsniperXxDF1 To me it's more strain on the membrane using the pano bridge, so it has no functionality over cost. For a main pair of goggles it's definitely a no go. To answer your question do you carry a gun more then you shoot it? Since it's safer to carry it unloaded would it be a hindrance to you if you need it right away? I'm not a nitch person I'm more about functionality. For me the perceived gain is actually a hindrance. Also looking through the sides of the lenses is less then optimal. I guess we'll see how well this product does, but just like the 1.93 LPVO that are all the rage. Precieved great for dynamic room clearing, but sucks for prone. Hence all the 1.93 mounts for sale on the used market. All the while all the vanilla 1.54 standard height mounts working just fine without hindrance any shooting positions without modification to making it work.

    Seems like a pretty rad product… being someone who hasn’t been able to get into NVGs yet financially… let alone duals…. Can someone justify the $500 cost for a polymer mount???? Looking for genuine education, not smart comments.

    • @noisefighters
      @noisefighters 3 года назад +9

      Since you asked: Panobridge is the lightest weight bridge on the market and makes dual PVS-14 setups as light as some dedicated bino goggles (like the PVS-15). It's an indestructible, engineering-grade polymer that was verified through testing to be tough enough for use by LE and military service members. It's the first night vision product to ever offer the Adjustable Field of View mechanism, which presents up to 87.5% more field of view to the end user, though we recommend angling it out around half way for the best compromise in performance and getting a 50% wider field. If you upgrade your PVS-14s to include the NL914C Power Pack housings and RPO ultra-lightweight lenses, your Panobridge setup can weigh 19.9 with two batteries, which is less than a DTNVG and only ~1.5 oz heavier than a DTNVS with batteries installed. We are selling a solution, not just a hunk of plastic. TL;DR: if I priced it lower, people would not necessarily assume it was designed and rated for duty use and may not appreciate the extra value in its feature set. -Neal, owner

      Everything retail in the night vision world is expensive. Surplus is the only way to save money. Most other standard dual pvs14 mounts are around the same price.

      I pulled the trigger on the panobridge setup because I liked having the flexibility of running my 14s both in a traditional bino manner or as a panoramic viewer. After seeing the panoramic mode, I can't go back to a bino or single tube setup. It might cost a pretty penny, but I recommend it.

      @@GuamGuy Its all about finding individuals or smaller companies that make these without the high price tag. I know guys who use CNC to make the same thing for less than $100. One even took a few of the features from this design and incorporated it into his own. It doesnt take too searching much to find someone who can make you something stronger for a far better price.

    • @DaveSmith-cp5kj

      There is no justification other than this is the only guy with the design commercially available. Clones of this are already out, but out of respect for the OEM, no one is selling them online. It can be made for $20. The thing is, there aren't enough night vision users to support a $20 product line which is the main reason why it is so expensive. A company has to make their money on less sales than say ammunition.
