    Great job and explanation! Only suggestion, save your knees and add a valve for the hose at the end so you don't have to go to the spigot each time.

    I learned the hard way you got to rev the engine after shutting up the water hose. make sure you do otherwise water stays stuck in there and corrodes your sensors. Had to replace both O2 sensors $185 a pop! ouch!

      That is correct, the blow out is shown in the video just for that reason. Thanks for the comment. Never let water rest anywhere, not just the engines.

    Flushing is important when running in salt water. I only do fresh water, so it is not as important. I just have to make sure all the water is out for the winterization process.

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  Год назад

      Remember to still flush in fresh water too. Sediments and organisms in the water that sit can also cause issues after a while.

    Hello,
    Just had a great day on the lake. I got home and hooked up the house and nothing came out the pisser. Water was coming out through the pump though.
    I am now receiving an engine overheat alert. Any helpful comments and next steps are welcome.
    Best,
    Jeff

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  Год назад

      This is usually caused by low water pressure from the hose. Try hooking up to a higher pressure spigot somewhere else to test.

    May be a really stupid question but first time boat owner and just got our 2021 FSH 210 sport. Question is I understand water can’t be introduced to engine until engine is on etc when cleaning..but what do you do when launching? Do you start boat before you put it in water from the trailer? Hoping you can help with the best practice on this. Again apologies for a dumb question but total beginner here.

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  2 года назад +1

      This only applies to flushing. Do not start the boat before putting it in the water for launching. Start it after it is in the water. Otherwise you’d never be able to stop your boat if you think about it. Flushing forces water into the cooling system with or without the engine running. The water intake for the engines only forces water when the engines are running in the water. If you run the engines out of the water without using the flushing ports you will overheat them.

    Dude.. Where did you buy the spare tire mount for your trailer? I ordered one like that and the frame brackets were not wide enough to mount to bracket.. Also, did you install the vertical gide poles yourself? If so, where sourced?

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  3 месяца назад

      That spare tire mount comes with the trailer stock from the factory for the FSH 210. The guide poles I did myself. Here’s the link amzn.to/4b2R58E

    Thanks!.... questions, is it possible to use a "Y" to connect 2 hoses at the same time and flush both engines?

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  3 года назад +3

      Yes, but unless you know your pressure is enough to support this then I highly suggest doing it by the book. There is a certain pressure range that needs to be supplied and a certain RPM you should keep to properly flush and cool the engines. I personally dont want to take that chance. Plus, doing each engine individually lets you hear how each one is running compared to the other. If they are both running problems are easily hidden by the other engine noise. Like I tell everyone else, do it by the book and do it right for longevity of life. When you cut corners you run the risk of prematurely damaging your boat. That goes for everything including washing and service.

      You won’t get much out of these motors. They are the TR1s. Designed for efficiency not speed. I’ve seen people drop thousands and only get 4mph. Not worth it. The smart tabs got me 1-2mph top end.

    What could be the problem?

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  3 месяца назад

      There could be a few problems first being water pressure if you do not have enough water pressure from your hose It won’t come out the side next would be clogged ports sometimes the port gets clogged by insects and lastly, you could have an issue more major like engine issues the first thing I would start with the hose pressure and go from there.

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  2 года назад

      I hope you didn’t get water in the engine and if you did you could possibly have damaged internals. Pull spark plugs and turn the motor over to see if water sprays out. Also check your oil and see if it is “milky” Hope everything is ok 🤞🏼

    • @THEFSHDUDE

      No, the bilge pump is for standing water in your hull. This is for flushing the internal components of your engine cooling system.

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  3 месяца назад +1

      @@ralphv.5026 that’s normal, the water is hot because it’s absorbed the engine heat. That’s how your motors are cooled. Sometimes it steams sometimes it doesn’t .

    • @THEFSHDUDE

    • @anthonyjannace4410
      @anthonyjannace4410 2 года назад

      It's not an issue; if the boat is not level and you have low water pressure, such as a well, it won't piss. As long as it is pissing during in-water operation is critical. Mine does the same because I am on well water, and my boat sits on a lift, not level.
