King Bomb in an optional boss that can be taken on in The Saliawood region. I share with you the tactics I used to take this MOAB down.

Final Fantasy 12 was first released way back in 2006 on the PS2. At the time, it was considered somewhat controversial by many Final Fantasy fans due to its departure from traditional FF gameplay. However, it is now looked back on fondly and many would consider Final Fantasy XII to be the best entry in the franchise. In 2007 the International Zodiac edition was released (in Japan only), and this version of the game included a more traditional job-based system and a new battle areana. For this remastered release, these additional changes are being brought to us fans in the West for the first time ever - along with high resolution textures and remastered soundtrack!

Easiest way to defeat king bomb is physically attack down to about halfway health then use A quickening.
SO I realize now why I was struggling. I'm so underleveled. Gotta be at at least level 30 for this to work. Thanks for the help.

I was late thirty’s in this fight and still had trouble, but my trouble was i almost had him beat and then he would cast renew
@@kristencotty4439 YES that's so annoying, I dont even use quickening but after seeing this I think I got it. Would you use a summon over a quickening.
Edit: nm still dont have it, this boss is bs, I'm level 37 as well.
Edit 2: I put handkerchief on the top of everyone's gambit and got ashe casting regen with mursame on bashe since it did water damage and I out damaged its regen. Used quickening once but since bashe does not have any I only got 4. It regened after so pretty much useless.
In the old game, this boss was the gatekeeper for making an early run at the Zodiac Spear. Beat him, then just run, one party member at a time and with careful map following, to the room the spear is in (fleeing everyone) and back out. Now with the new version of the game, that run is irrelevant, but that's how I remember the King Bomb - sprinting in, grabbing it, realizing that even the character who was closest to unlocking it (Ashe) still needed a few more license points, then spamming for the license points and making the next few areas a tad easier than they should have been.
I just realized i made a mountain out of a mole hill, i was healing the damn bomb! I had saigtengratt cause i knew he was a headache, but two of my damage dealers had fiery arrows!
Finally someone who actually explains what to do! My fucking god it's been annoying watching videos where no one talks about how to beat him... thank you so much.
The worst thing about this is I’m up to the salika wood without having a single quickening. The weapon you can steal from the flowering cactoid in the trials is very overpowered early on
If you ain't got 2 bars if quickening per character by the Salikawood, you're absolutely doing it wrong.
I have an old PS2 and a old version of FF12. I beat king B in exactly 30 secs. I am level 42. I used gill boots for imunity from oil then I had one memeber hit king B with gill toss and my healer hit him with imobilize and vann just kept beating him down...end of KING B in 30 seconds 😊 I did not bother with the adds. I had one team member die...thats it! oh an add on here...I lost 36000 gold doing it
instead using quickening maybe should use silence so the boss won't spawn any of his minion so that make it easier to beat the boss

I got lazy in this fight, got sick of him renewing so i said f this and used the op bow to defeat it
i know i hate this guy last i remmeberd i beat this guy easy by hiting him A FEW TIMES WITH MAGIC AND HE BLOW UP
I remember using mateus on him, she immediately destroyed him.
I remember having such trouble with this last time after a few renews, i did a quickening and faster than he could renew, he was dead
Would a reverse mote not work? Reverse him and attack with fire then when he uses renew it would kill itself? Also some sections of this BGM reminds me of FFX-2. Yet another Great video 👍
The 1st Gen Trainer that would work if this boss wasn't immune to it
I following along and I power grind a bit @ this video point my party is 35 to 40 (Penello being the 40 cause white mage/mechanist is always in party. With about 60%-80% of the licence boards complete dependant on ch)

The way I beat him is I used a quickening before he could renew the second time got lucky I guess
I did 19 quickening kill him in one shot just was very lucky

We have a same level but different HP my team HP only around 1,700 and u up to 3k why can you so that??
This is an old comment and im sure you're either not playing the game or have beaten it at this point, but you can drastically increase your characters HP either by the classes you give them or the license HP boosts you can unlock through their progression, perhaps also some combination of the two. Hope this cleared it up a little for you

I hate this stupid king bomb, it keeps healing itself so i am doing no damage is there a way to mitigate this?

P.s. if you have some aquarium mote , it will help 🙂 or black mage with Aqua
@@lilsabin i think i was mid 30’s or 40s i don’t remember, took a break after a particularly difficult boss battle to think if i should level up some more or leave it til later, but it’s in the great crystal, which makes it a pain in the ass to get too, so I’ll probably try to level up before taking it on

@@lilsabin I’m already 15 levels ahead, and since they put the video here, they must of finished it, so in theory, i should be able to beat him too, it’s that boss from 13 all over again, but at least its a super boss, and in theory, could decline to actually finish it and rage quit that particular boss, which in theory i already have

I think he heals by consuming his minions right?
He has a technique called renew which puts him back at max health. If it had been a magick silence would prevent it but hec k can still silence him to prevent his cry for help and fire.

quickening is non element..obviously as that would make absorb enemies suck...
Quickenings are elementless...and on top of that it healed anyway. He wouldve finished it sooner had he gotten it to half first, then quickening chained it
If he’s optional how do I avoid him ?
Just don't go into the area he is found in. Its optional, in that you can continue to complete the game's story and see the ending without doing this boss. Some other side quests are locked behind it though.
My party is at lvl 27 and I just wanna lvl up a bit while still playing the main story. I’ll come back for that boss soon enough though
