  • What happened when WCW booked Spin The Wheel Make The Deal in 1992? It’s a very strange edition of Halloween Havoc and Tony and Conrad fearlessly look back at it on this episode sponsored by BlueApron.com!

I still remember watching this and being absolutely PISSED it was a coal miners glove match. It was my first and only WCW PPV I ever ordered.

Coal Miner's Glove matches were over in the 80s in Oregon/Houston had a great one with Hercules Hernandez & Duggan in 84 but it was corny AF. Gimmick was simple, grab possesion of the glove off the pole, glove was always gimmicked as being loaded so punch the Heel with the glove and match over

I really liked the idea of not bringing up race in Simmons Win.

Klondike put the pole up? That seems to be a common theme in stories about him.

Should have been a Coal Miners Daughter match with Sissy Spacek making an appearance.

This is the 1st and only PPV I purchased from WCW. I was a die hard WWF, I don't even remember the details, but I bought it specifically for "spin the wheel" aspect. Jake could be in ANY match. We discussed what if it was this n that match. When it landed on coal miners glove, I turned WCW off for life

Glad you discussed Jesse's rocking. I've wondered about it for years. He did it all the way back in the times of the early WrestleManias.

This was a good show. No wonder Jake Roberts didn't want to stay with WCW after this match. Bill Watts was a cluster fuck running things. I thought the match was ok but I didn't like it. I can't believe the bookers wanted this match so badly that they had a button that stopped the wheel. It felt like I was watching either Wheel Of Fortune and or Press Your Luck while the wheel was spinning. It was a combination of Big Bucks and No WHAMMIES!. Also, come no bankrupt and only big bucks.

Vader vs Koloff. They put Vader as 450 lbs and Koloff as 120 kilos. Lol no Murican knows what a kilo is.

i did only because i had heard him introduced as 120kilos so much i asked my math teacher what it was. she thought i was some super engaged math student. little did she know it was just for my useless wrasslin knowledge

Jason Davis It was so awful. Yet, it was like the highest grossing PPV ever for WCW at the time. Go figure.

I remember the previews for it Jake saying spin the wheel make the deal. Cactus Jack was a real bad guy to me along with Vader. & Sting was the man I wanted to see this ppv. So bad. I was 7. Still haven't ever seen it. I still feel like I missed out.

Jason Davis you think the PPV was awful, try being there in person. That was 2+ hours of my life that I will never get back. Thank goodness for the cheesesteaks.
