If you listen carefully to the studio recording, the new male member of Sistar got a lot more. "Let's dance...", "I like smile" [tho am pretty sure he says "I like your smile" even tho everybody says it's "I like smile"] and the entire section of "I'm so fine, I'm so fine" sung with the girls w/ Hyorin leading. I'd say he's got plenty for his first outing. :P

Dasom is getting a fair share because she's improved vocally and keeps making improvements. Unless Bora comes out the woodworks with something AMAZING then don't expect her to get more lines. She still doesn't write her own raps to this very day. Like in their song "say I love you" hyorin wrote the rap for Bora. So unless Bora makes the effort to improve in her role then she's not gonna get a line increase.

i was just wondering.. does anyone know if this is actually live? because usually idols lip sync the first few performances to showcase more on their choreography. If it's live then, starship should stop feeding Sistar CDs.
I'm not a fan of sistar but I have noticed this distribution thing too. Tho I think in live performances hyolyn sings very well and soyou sings quite well too. It's normal that hyolyn gets more lines... in all groups the main singers get more lines, but notice that sistar only has 4 members so the linedistribution will look less fair, even tho it's the same as in for example snsd. Bora is a rapper and putting a long rap part in every song would make the stucture of every song pretty much the same. The other three can sing any part, but Bora can't sing, and it's not that easy to give her some random rap lines every song. Also not to hate, but have you ever listened to sistar without MR? Hyolyn and soyou sing above kpop standards while Dasom is below mainsinger standards and Bora isn't even a 'good' rapper, she often can't handle her rap lines breathing wise. I think people should stop hating on starship for the line distribution. They know what they are doing and people should start realizing Bora has the most fans for her looks and personality. Not for her rapping qualities. this is no hate this is what i think is pretty obvious.

Sometimes they take into account who is a more stable performer when they give lines. Maybe hyorin is the best in terms of controlling her voice when both singing and dancing, which is the case for live shows, hence she is suited to handle the lines.
Dasom sang more than before and Soyou sang more than enough lines. Hyorin is the MAIN vocal. If you just watch, you will mainly see Hyorin and Dasom...go listen to "Say I Love You" Hyorin wrote that song and she barely even sang. Now that song, she had to ability to choose the line distribution

I'm not a fan of sistar but I have noticed this distribution thing too. Tho I think in live performances hyolyn sings very well and soyou sings quite well too. It's normal that hyolyn gets more lines... in all groups the main singers get more lines, but notice that sistar only has 4 members so the linedistribution will look less fair, even tho it's the same as in for example snsd. Bora is a rapper and putting a long rap part in every song would make the stucture of every song pretty much the same. The other three can sing any part, but Bora can't sing, and it's not that easy to give her some random rap lines every song. Also not to hate, but have you ever listened to sistar without MR? Hyolyn and soyou sing above kpop standards while Dasom is below mainsinger standards and Bora isn't even a 'good' rapper, she often can't handle her rap lines breathing wise. I think people should stop hating on starship for the line distribution. They know what they are doing and people should start realizing Bora has the most fans for her looks and personality. Not for her rapping qualities. this is no hate this is what i think is pretty obvious.

Sometimes they take into account who is a more stable performer when they give lines. Maybe hyorin is the best in terms of controlling her voice when both singing and dancing, which is the case for live shows, hence she is suited to handle the lines.
Dasom sang more than before and Soyou sang more than enough lines. Hyorin is the MAIN vocal. If you just watch, you will mainly see Hyorin and Dasom...go listen to "Say I Love You" Hyorin wrote that song and she barely even sang. Now that song, she had to ability to choose the line distribution
