my favorites of 2021: priory of the orange tree, song of achilles, the starless sea, this savage song/our dark duet, and my re-read of the hunger games. i’m so happy to have gotten back into reading last summer; since june 2021 i have read 31 books!
I also got back into reading in June 2021! I think I have read somewhere around 75 books since then. Congrats to you! I was a book worm as a kid and teenager/young adult. Until I got my iPhone and then I got addicted to that. So happy to pick up reading again! And now that we have amazing book tubers to help us decide what books to read!
As an asexual myself, the fact a book about it is in your favorites of the year means a lot to me. There aren't a lot of books (fiction or non-) that focus on the asexuality, so finding a good one on this list makes my really happy. Thanks for talking about it cause a lot of people, even people in LGBTQIA+ community, don't know or talk about asexuality.
I agree! I am still figuring out what it means to be ACE for others, versus for myself so I want to pick this book up soon after the glowing recommendation!
I've read a really lovely book called let's talk about love which has an asexual MC which I really liked. You should check it out of you haven't already
Starless sea was immensely immersive and such a wholesome experience for me , I love it P.s i really want to buy your reading journal , but I'm broke 😭

I just have to let you know I absolutely LOVE my clockwork reader journal. I have decided to read a book a week this year and it’s so fun to have the journal for this year. I also heard about the infernal devices trilogy from you and read them last year. Let me tell you I absolutely loved them and nearly died with all the emotions I felt. That trilogy was my absolute favorite I have ever read. Thank you for recommending them!!

I finished The Starless Sea a week ago after knowing how much you loved it and it broke me in the best way possible (I cried a lot) This story feels so special to me and i'll carry it in my heart and soul forever now
The Starless Sea seems less like a book that was written (no discredit to E. Morgenstern) than one that was plucked whole cloth out of the place that stories come from, it's BEAUTIFUL in every aspect from the descriptions of the settings, the lore of the Harbor and not to forget her wonderful prose.
I think Kayla from BooksAndLaLa described The Starless Sea as “no plot, just vibes” and she’s honestly not wrong 😂 but the vibes are immaculate so it’s also one of my favorite books of all time haha

I really want to finish an Ember in the Ashes because only two books were translated into Lithuanian but i WILL reread and buy them all. Also 100% will read the House in the Cerulean sea this year. And your excitement for the Starless sea also makes me interested ❤️ (btw i just subscribed to you on this channel but i’ve been following you for years). Alsooo still waiting to get the book you worked on with so much love. I wonder. have you read His Dark Materials? I plan to reread it this year, it was one of my fav childhood trilogies (as well as Inkheart trilogy)
Good luck with your Booktube channel! I just started one, too. It’s been fun, but it’s hard to get yourself out there.
ahh good luck with your channel! I also just started my bookchannel but it's kinda scary to get started.
@@noahandherbooks5607 It definitely is. You can do it. Just gotta get started :)
